Reggy's Movie Art now online!

Hi guys, another busy week, couldn't find the time to update the website. Had to work overtime, catching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen IMAX in between. I was really afraid that the flick would suck, after reading the negative reviews, but guess what, I really liked it! Got home last night, smile on my kisser and Transformers theme in my head... until I heard the news that Michael Jackson passed away. I still can't believe it. The King of Pop is dead, no more moonwalk, his music will last forever though. Rest in peace, Michael.
Here's the last update of the week, let's bring you up to speed on the latest movie news;
Hilary Swank, Richard Gere, Ewan McGregor and Virginia Madsen star in the biopic Amelia Earhart, based on that chick you've also seen in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. But this trailer looks a lot better though, click here for great cinematography!
Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Claudia Karvan and Sam Neill star in the futuristic vampire flick Daybreakers. Somehow this production flew right under my radar, I totally forgot about this film. The trailer is now up, click here for the folks with the crossbows!
Donnie Darko's Richard Kelly is back with The Box, which stars Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella. Love the 70s look, click here for the trailer!
I was wondering when he would make his own flick, well, second-unit director Dan Bradley, known for his gritty action sequences in The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum and Quantum of Solace, will now direct Hellified. The story of the supernatural action flick involves a journey to hell. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Producers Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner are set to adapt the video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune! The story revolves around the treasure hunter Nate Drake who believes he has found the golden city known as El Dorado. Source: The Hollywood Reporter

Zack Snyder talks 300 sequel:
Watchmen director Zack Snyder talks about a potential sequel to 300. Creator Frank Miller is writing and drawing the story, which will be adapted by Snyder;
"I know for a fact that Frank Miller is writing right now. He's drawing away and seems to be knee-deep in it. I think he's going to head back to Greece again and do another reconnaissance.
I think we would use the same technology... I don't want it to look too Star Wars-ian... Just from what Miller told me, it would be bigger as far as landscape and terrain. We're going to see Athens and the Aegean and other places. There would be an opportunity for bigger visions, though I'd hope for the same aesthetic. The tech we used for 300 was not a revolution. It's basically what the weatherman has. Look, instead of Accuweather it's Sparta... It's going to be the same way, but on crazier steroids."

Colorful trailer for Hayao Miyazaki's Ponyo is now online! Voice cast includes Noah Cyrus, Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Cloris Leachman, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin and Betty White (I still prefer the original Japanese version). If you love Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, you have to check out Ponyo! Click here for the trailer!
Kevin James and Rosario Dawson star in the live action comedy The Zookeeper, which centers on zoo animals teaching the keeper their methods of dating and help him win back the woman of his dreams. Well, the cool part, Adam Sandler, Cher, Jon Favreau, Sylvester Stallone and Judd Apatow will provide the voices for the animals! Source: Variety
One of John Grisham's older novels, The Testament, will get a movie treatment. The story centers on a billionaire who leaves his fortune to a mysterious illegitimate daughter instead of his greedy relatives. I love the previous John Grisham adaptations, The Firm, The Pelican Brief, The Client, A Time to Kill, The Rainmaker and Runaway Jury, come to think of it, that's a long list! Source: Variety

Alice in Wonderland pics!!!:
Amazing concept designs and character shots from Tim Burton's upcoming Alice in Wonderland hit the web! The film is a sequel to Lewis Carroll's classic tale, which stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. The rest of the cast includes Michael Sheen, Crispin Glover, Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman. Click on the artwork to find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.
