About the Artist:
Born and raised in Utrecht, The Netherlands, Reggy Hafkenscheid (38) decided to dedicate his life to film after watching 'Superman The Movie' at his local movie theater back in 1978. Comics and film inspired him to draw and helped creating the artist he is today.
To feed his passion for the magic of moving pictures, Reggy began his career as a film critic. Started out writing for a major Dutch and Belgian movie website, 'Movie.nl', but decided to set up his own international film website, 'movieXplosion.com,' a place where he could freely discuss the upcoming movies in his own unique way; from the heart of a true movie fanatic. The website radiates excitement about all the upcoming projects, rumors and developments. 'movieXplosion.com' also offers the visitors an inside look at his upcoming projects via his online portfolio.
Besides his commitment to keep 'movieXplosion.com' up-to-date, Reggy's also working as an illustrator, storyboard artist, concept designer, production artist and creative consultant for the international movie industry. He recently finished the concept designs for a challenging Dutch science-fiction film entitled 'Luctor'. The film will combine CGI and live action in a way the Dutch film industry has never experienced before. Side projects include character and environmental designs for video game projects and providing production art for screenwriters.
And now, Reggy is focusing on his next ambition as a screenwriter. His mission is to create action-packed and character driven scripts for the Asian market that combines the love for his favorite genre and movie in general.
Reggy's life is the amazing story of a film fan from The Netherlands, who just wants to be part of the movie magic.
