About the Artist:
Born and raised in Utrecht, The Netherlands, Reggy Hafkenscheid (35) decided to dedicate his life to film after watching 'Superman The Movie' at his local movie theater back in 1978. Comics and film inspired him to draw and helped creating the artist he is today. Reggy's currently working as an illustrator, storyboard artist, concept designer, production artist and creative consultant for the international movie industry. He recently finished the concept designs for a challenging Dutch science-fiction film called 'Luctor'. The film will combine CGI and live action in a way the Dutch film industry has never experienced before. Side projects include character and environmental designs for videogames and providing production art for screenwriters.
To feed his desire for flicks, Reggy is also a filmcritic. Started out writing for a major Dutch and Belgian movie website, but decided to set up his own international film website, 'movieXplosion.com'. A place where he could freely discuss the upcoming movies in his own unique way; from the heart of a true movie fanatic. The website radiates excitement about all the upcoming projects, rumors and developments. 'movieXplosion.com' also offers the visitors an inside look at his upcoming projects via his online portfolio.
And the remaining hours of his day, Reggy can be found at his pc, creating screenplays. After writing a few martial arts scripts for the Asian market, Reggy recently finished his latest script, an intense mafia rollercoaster, which combines the love for his favorite genre and movie in general.
Reggy's life is the amazing story of a film fan from The Netherlands, who just wants to be part of the movie magic.
