News Flash:
Het is een ruig weekje geweest, ben nog aan het herstellen van een flinke griep maar heb gelukkig genoeg
kracht over om mijn website te updaten! Ik heb veel film headlines op internet gevonden vandaag, de leukste heb ik
voor jullie hieronder geplaatst! Have a great weekend, guys:
 Regisseur John Pasquin (Jungle 2 Jungle, Joe Somebody) zal Sandra Bullock regisseren in Miss Congeniality 2...de lucky bastard. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Een anonieme bron van Cinescape heeft een titel doorgegeven voor het vervolg op Pirates: "Pirates of the Caribbean: Treasures of the Lost Abyss." Klinkt meer als een James Cameron documantaire.
Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later) zal de rol van Batman's baddie op zich nemen in Chris Nolan's superhero film. Welke bad guy hij gaat spelen is nog niet zeker want volgens Alfred himself, Michael Caine, wordt namelijk Lord of the Rings ster Viggo Mortensen ook benaderd voor de rol van een Batman villain. New Day After Tommorrow Pics:
Latino Review
heeft een aantal nieuwe geweldige foto's van "the ultimate disaster flick" The Day After Tomorrow.
"The story revolves around a climatological disruption of inconceivable proportions that ravages the world, sending millions of terrified survivors surging South. Surging in the other direction, however, is Professor Adrian Hall, a brilliant paleoclimatologist whose own son Sam may still be alive in New York City, now a frozen wasteland."
De film is geregisseerd door Roland Emmerich (ID4) en Dennis Quaid speelt de hoofdrol. Click op de Tsunami om meer te zien!

Affleck not ready for Daredevil 2?:
Ben Affleck toont geen interesse in een vervolg op de comic movie Daredevil:
"I don't know about Daredevil II. That may be too much work for me. I don't have any idea. I suppose that if Kevin Smith wrote it and was going to be involved, I would do it. But I'm not banging down the door trying to get Daredevil 2 made. You'll know when my career is really on the slide when I start resurrecting the franchise".

Casting News:
Katie Holmes zal waarschijnlijk de rol van love-interest spelen in Chris Nolan's Batman.
Sean Penn is toegevoegd aan de cast van The Interpreter. Nicole Kidman speelt de hoofdrol in de politieke thriller van Sydney Pollack. "Kidman will play a U.N. interpreter who overhears a conversation involving an assassination that could topple a government."
Jerry Seinfeld zal optreden als schrijver, producer en de hoofdrol vertolken in de computer animatie Bee Movie. Dreamworks' Jerry Katzenberg
vertelde het volgende: "Jerry Seinfeld is one of the most brilliant and unique comic minds of our time. It has been a dream of mine for over 10 years to be in business with him, and during that time, I have been willing to put myself in any number of potentially humiliating situations in order to demonstrate my unflagging appreciation of his talent. We were delighted when he came to us with his wonderfully funny concept for an animated feature and even more thrilled to be the studio that will bring Jerry Seinfeld's comedy to the big screen."

Adam Sandler in Click:
Adam Sandler zal de hoofdrol vertolken in Click, een komedie over een architect die een
apparaat heeft uitgevonden om naar verschillende momenten in zijn leven te verplaatsen, verleden en
toekomst. Steve Koren en Mark O'Keefe (Bruce Almighty) schreven het script, de productie begint waarschijnlijk
in April 2005. Wie de film gaat regisseren is niet bekend.

King Clooney:
Interessante nieuwtjes rond de King Kong remake, regisseur Peter Jackson wilt George
Clooney of Robert de Niro voor de mannelijke hoofdrol, Carl Denham, de avonturier die de grote aap vangt
en naar New York brengt. Noami Watts (The Ring) vertolkt de vrouwelijke hoofdrol Ann Darrow. Andy Serkis
die met Jackson werkte aan LOTR als Gollum, is waarschijnlijk ook van de partij om de bewegingen van de
aap in beeld te brengen.

Catwoman and Blade set pics:

heeft het weer geflikt en levert een paar geweldige setpics van Halle Berry in Catwoman en Wesley Snipes
in Blade: Trinity!:
"Also of note to comic fans everywhere is the news that the cast and crews of both Catwoman and Blade: Trinity played a hockey game against each other at GM Place starting at 7 PM on Sunday December 7, 2003. We'll let you know what cast members played and the results tomorrow when we hear them."

Clive Barker directs again:
Clive Barker (Hellraiser) gaat de horror film Tortured Souls regisseren. Barkers laatste
film die hij regisseerde was zo'n acht jaar geleden, Lord of Illusions. Het verhaal schreef hij ook zelf:
"The story, which he also wrote, centers on a man who decides he wants to be rid of his wife in favor of a more interesting life. The man "exchanges" his wife for a demon goddess
from another world, throwing her into a shadowy world of monsters - one from which she must escape and
return to his everyday world to rescue their child and vanquish the demon."

Steve Martin talks Pink Panther:
Steve Martin sprak met Moviehole over zijn Pink Panther
film en over alle roddels die op internet te lezen waren:
"There are lots of rumours and all untrue", confessed Martin in a Los Angeles hotel room over the weekend. "Jackie Chan has not been approached to do the film, nor has John Cleese, so I don't know where these are coming from," an upbeat and talkative Martin said. "I've just re-written the script and I hope we can start filming in May." Martin admitted that he would playing the legendary Clouseau "in an outrageous French accent," shoot part of the film in Paris and would offer a contemporary take on the character."
Nou, dat is ook weer duidelijk, wel jammer dat Jackie Chan niet meedoet.

US Box Office Dec 5-7:
Tom Cruise hakte er aardig op los met zijn epos The Last Samurai. De film kwam op nummer
1 binnen met $24 miljoen, iets minder dan verwacht maar waarschijnlijk zorgde het slechte weer in Noord
Amerika voor minder bioscoopbezoekers. De dansfilm Honey deed het ook geweldig met een
tweede plaats. De komedie Elf still kicks ass, zakte maar één plaats terwijl de meeste
films meer dan twee plaatsen daalden.

Bryan Singer on X3:
Regisseur Bryan Singer heeft een contract getekend met 20th Century Fox voor verschillende filmprojecten
waaronder een derde X-men film! Het is nog niet zeker of Singer wederom de regie doet of
optreedt als producer.
"We had such a fantastic experience with Bryan on X2 -- he was a great partner who navigated the process,
which included the magnitude of the budget, the number of visual effects, and our desire to build on the
first film and make a better and more satisfying movie," said Fox's production president Hutch Parker about
Singer's contract with the studio. "The deal is an outgrowth of the strong relationship we built on those
two films."

Michael Apted directs Rome:
Michael Apted (The World Is Not Enough) zal de eerste drie delen van HBO's Rome regisseren.
De serie vertelt het verhaal van twee romeinse soldaten en hun familie tijdens het rijk van Julius Caesar.
HBO en BBC2 zullen de eerste 12 delen in 2005 op de buis vertonen.

Thunderbirds Trailer:
Check out de nieuwe trailer van The Thunderbirds. "Having narrowly averted a major disaster on an
oil rig, the Thunderbirds have just returned home to their secret base when TB5, their space based station,
is critically damaged in a suspected meteor strike. Unbeknown to them, the attack on TB5 is a deliberate
ploy by international master criminal Aristotle Spode to get them off the island. He takes over the island
and drugs Brains into submission. But Spode has overlooked one key factor: Alan, Fermat and Tin Tin are
still on the island." Bill Paxton, Ben Kingsley spelen de hoofdrollen en Jonathan Frakes heeft de sci-fi

The Village set pics:
Empire Online heeft een paar
sfeervolle setpics van Shyamalan's The Village. "The movie revolves around the isolated
community of Stovington, a small village of 60 souls surrounded by a wood, which is inhabited by mysterious
'mythical creatures'. Joaquin Phoenix plays Lucius, a young man who falls
for the town leader's daughter and questions the policy of confining the inhabitants inside the village

The Rock talks!:
Arnie en Sly vervanger The Rock sprak met Moviehole
over zijn toekomstige films, Schwarzenegger, Terminator 4 and Predator:
Moviehole: You're being labelled 'The new Schwarzenegger' how does that make you feel?
The Rock: Cool. It's very cool. They're such big shoes to fill though; I don't think I could ever replace him. He's been ultra successful, and he's such a smart guy - of course, he's now governor as well! But it's a cool thing for people to say.
Moviehole: They're talking about you as someone that might replace Arnold for "The Terminator 4" or "Predator 3". Would you be interested?
The Rock: I've heard that a lot actually. I don't know. Thing is, Arnold has put so much into those roles. They're his roles. I liked "Terminator 3" but I loved the first two movies, and "Predator", the first one, is just fantastic.
Moviehole: You got to do a bit of comedy in "Welcome to the Jungle". Was that fun?
The Rock: Sure. That was a lot of fun. I always wanted to do an action movie that also had comedy in it, like "Lethal Weapon" or "Midnight Run". My Next movie is an even broader comedy role; I'm doing the sequel to "Get Shorty". We start in February.
Moviehole: So not an action role then?
The Rock: No, purely a comedy role. What I'd like to do in my acting career is diversify myself, learn as much as I can about the process as possible. "Be Cool" is going to be great, it's John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Vince Vaughn…we've got this huge cast. And get this: I play a bodyguard who wants to break into Hollywood, who can sing, and he's gay! [Laughs]
