Trailers!:

Ik ben geen liefhebber van musicals maar de trailer van Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera ziet er indrukwekkend uit. De cast bestaat uit Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum, Patrick Wilson en Joel Schumacher doet de regie. Klik hier voor The Phantom!

Fahrenheit the sequel!:
Ik wist het, Michael Moore is van plan om een vervolg te maken op zijn geweldige documentaire Fahrenheit 9/11.
"We want to get cameras rolling now and have it ready in two-three years," vertelt Moore, "We want to document and commercialize it. Fifty-one percent of the American people lacked information (in this election) and we want to educate and enlighten them. They weren't told the truth. We're communicators and it's up to us to start doing it now. The official mourning period is over today and there is a silver lining -- George W. Bush is prohibited by law from running again."

Twee filmsetspionnen zijn getuige geweest van een aantal interessante gebeurtenissen:
Live from the set of Fantastic Four, Location - Vancouver: "I was just on the set on Fantastic Four here in Vancouver. I just wanted to get by what i saw happen today, which may (or may not be ) already be news to you. just to get this across, i wasn't one of the people across the street, and i wasn't an extra, i was IN the set. I was about 10 feet away from the stunt double in the thing outfit, that close. I was watching them film a part of the fight between Dr.Doom and Thing, when Doom takes a broken street lamp and swings it at THing when he's running at him full speed, hitting him then throwing Thing back 30 feet, then landing on the ground and causing a crater where he lands."
Live from the set of King Kong, Location - Wellington: "The Skull Island set is being built on land above Massey Memorial near Shelly Bay in Wellington and appears to be a bigger-scale version of the Skull Island set at Lyall Bay, where filming took place last month. A large ancient-looking wall dominates the set and could be the section through which Kong will break. In the original 1933 movie, Skull Island was a key location and included a big wall that separated the giant gorilla and dinosaurs from the rest of the island."

De site schreef het volgende over de gevaarlijke cyborg:

Aardige nieuwe trailer van Son of the Mask is online. Jamie Kennedy speelt de hoofdrol in dit vervolg op The Mask, waarin Jim Carrey zijn grote doorbraak maakte. Klik hier voor de trailer, let op de hond!

Bruckheimer talks Pirates!:
Uber-producer Jerry Bruckheimer sprak over de status van de Pirates of the Caribbean sequels:
"We hope that we can do it as well as Lord of the Rings did it. That's what you shoot for. You only learn through making mistakes, so we'll watch what Back to the Future did and Matrix did and hopefully not repeat what they did. We have the same team that did the first one and hopefully we can have the same success. It's the same two writers who rewrote the first one and same director, same three actors initially and we're negotiating with the rest of them, so hopefully we'll get everybody back."

Colin Farrel sprak over Michael Mann's Miami Vice film! Colin speelt naast Jamie Foxx in deze bioscoopfilm dat gebaseerd is op de populaire TV serie. Farrell is niet van plan om Don Johnson te imiteren; "No, God, I'll leave that to Don. Michael Mann wrote a great script. Wrote a great script. It's not tongue in cheek, it's not '80s. David Beckham en Zinedine Zidane zullen zichzelf spelen in de voetbalfilm Goal!. De film vertelt het verhaal van een jonge voetbalster uit East L.A die een contract krijgt aangeboden om bij Newcastle United te spelen. Goal! zal uit drie films bestaan, de eerste film is in augustus 2005 te zien, de tweede in juni 2006 en het derde deel wordt tijdens het WK 2006 opgenomen. Danny Cannon, producer-regisseur van CSI, gaat de trilogie regisseren. Source: Variety

Box Office Nov 05-07:
Pixar's The Incredibles staat zoals verwacht op de eerste plaats in de Amerikaanse Box Office. Wat men niet had
verwacht is dat de film met zijn $70 miljoen net iets meer verdiende dan Finding Nemo's weekend première!
Jamie Foxx's Ray doet het nog steeds prima met een tweede plaats terwijl nieuwkomer Alfie
nog maar net de vijfde plaats weet te bereiken. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Superman update:
USA Today heeft nieuwe details geplaatst van Bryan Singer's Superman film:
Warner Bros. is revealing little about the plot, but Singer has hinted that the film will pick up where 1980's Superman II left off. In that movie, our hero traded his superpowers for mortality, fell in love with Lois Lane, regained his powers to defeat his enemies but then lost the girl.
"How do you bring Superman back? That has obviously been a challenge for us," says Jeff Robinov, president of production for Warner Bros.
"It took a while to get the right combination of people and to find a story that was fresh and true to the mythology."
