Newsflash:
Hi guys, hier weer de laatste newsflash van de week, volgende update is dit weekend:
 Sad news, filmcomposer Basil Poledouris is overleden. Basil was o.a. verantwoordelijk voor de filmmuziek van Conan, Robocop en Starship Troopers. Basil Poledouris was 61.
Hugh Jackman speelt een CIA agent in The Amateur. The spy flick is gebaseerd op het boek van Robert Littell. De opzet is dat, net als de Jason Bourne films, meerdere delen zullen volgen. Source: Variety
Queen gitarist Brian May onthult dat er plannen zijn voor een Freddie Mercury biopic; "There is a film in the pipeline and we're all involved in it. I'm not allowed to say much about it and casting isn't finalised but we've had some incredible offers to play Freddie. Really incredible." Source: Daily Express
Sin City bedenker Frank Miller bevestigt nogmaals dat er aan een sequel wordt gewerkt; "The script is almost completed, and we're just waiting for everyone's schedules to clear up." Kort maar krachtig! Source: IF Magazine

The Painted Veil poster:
Naomi Watts en Edward Norton vertolken de hoofdrol in de love story The Painted Veil dat gebaseerd is op het gelijknamige boek van W. Somerset Maugham.

De cast van de Amerikaanse versie, dat losjes gebaseerd is op de Hong Kong film Infernal Affairs, bestaat uit DiCaprio, Damon, Nicholson, Wahlberg en Alec Baldwin in een prachtige bijrol.

Frank Darabont talks Indy IV:
Interessante inside information is op de site van CHUD verschenen, guys. Frank Darabont, regisseur van The Green Mile en screenwriter
van het Indiana Jones IV script, was behoorlijk pissig toen zijn geweldige script werd afgewezen door George Lucas:
"That was the most frustrating of all, and that was the straw that broke the back of me wanting to continue in that line of work. That was terrifically frustrating. I worked for over a year on that; I worked very close with Steven Spielberg. He was ecstatic with the result and was ready to shoot it two years ago. He was very, very happy with the script and said it was the best draft of anything since Raiders of the Lost Ark. That’s really high praise and gave me a real sense of accomplishment, especially when you love the material you’re working on as much as I love the Indiana Jones films.
And then you have George Lucas read it and say, ‘Yeah, I don’t think so, I don’t like it.’ And then he resets it to zero when Spielberg is ready to shoot it that coming year, which is a real kick to the nuts. You can only waste so much time and so many years of your life on experiences like that, you can only get so emotionally invested and have the rug pulled out from under you before you say enough of that."
Dus Spielberg was zeer tevreden over het script en was klaar om de nieuwe Indy IV flick te schieten maar Lucas pulled the plug? Man, that sucks!

Robert Downey Jr. talks Iron Man!:
Robert Downey Jr., die de rol van superheld Iron Man gaat spelen, sprak over de film:
"The suit for Iron Man is so complex and does so much stuff that except for once or twice or from the chest up, I'm not required to do all that much.
What I will do is a lot of motion capture so that the movement isn't just some random stunt guy. A lot of time I look at CGI and I'm like 'What's the reference for this? This looks like a cartoon reference not a person." So I said I want to do all the motion capture work, which is like eight months after finishing shooting, but as much as it as I can do, I will."

Newsflash:
Hi guys, een geweldige update vandaag, laten we eerst beginnen met de newsflash:
Andrew Niccol, verantwoordelijk voor de fantastische Gattaca en Lord of War, gaat de biopic Dali & I: The Surreal Story regisseren. De film behandelt de laatste jaren van deze flamboyante kunstenaar. Ik ben een grote liefhebber van Dali's werk, ben zeer benieuwd naar deze film. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Bruce Willis en Samuel L. Jackson team-up again voor Black Water Transit. De actie thriller volgt de bezigheden van crooks, cops en lawyers tijdens de vondst van een lading illegale vuurwapens. Source: Variety
The Punisher Extended Cut verschijnt later deze maand in de Amerikaanse winkels! De DVD bevat meer dan 17 minuten nieuwe beelden die het vehaal van een andere kant belichten. De trailer is hier online!

Heel veel nieuwe trailers, guys, are you ready? Here we go; Jerry Seinfeld goes animated, check out zijn animatiefilm met de stemmen van Renée Zellweger, Matthew Broderick, John Goodman, Megan Mullally, Kathy Bates, Alan Arkin, William H. Macy en Oprah, via the official site.
Steve Carell vervangt Jim Carrey in het vervolg op Bruce Almighty met de titel Evan Almighty! De trailer is hier online.
Angela Bassett, Tom Selleck, Harland Williams, Adam West en Laurie Metcalf verzorgen de stemmen in Disney's nieuwste Meet the Robinsons. Klik hier om te downloaden.
