Troy Poster!:
Latino Review
got the exclusive Troy Poster! The movie is directed by Wolfgang Petersen and stars Brad
Pitt, Orlando Bloom and Eric Bana. "The film is an adventure of epic proportions, based on Homer's account
of the Trojan War in "The Iliad." The film will focus on the battles surrounding the Greeks' plan to
recapture the abducted Helen; it will also include elements from The Iliad's sequel, The Odyssey."

The Alamo delayed:
The Alamo release date has been moved from Christmas Day to April 2004. The picture stars
Dennis Quaid as Sam Houston, Billy Bob Thornton as Davy Crockett and Jason Patric as Jim Bowie. The official
press release stated that the filmmakers needed more time to finish the movie:
"Too often in Hollywood these days, release dates are set before a film has even completed shooting and it forces the director into a situation that compromises the work," said Dick Cook, Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios. "Ultimately, the end product is more important than the need to meet arbitrary deadlines for awards, etc. Audiences will have to wait just a bit longer to see THE ALAMO, but we feel that the wait will be worth it and result in a motion picture that is superior and satisfying in every way."
That was the official announcement but we all know that recent test screenings were not that positive and
the movie will probably be re-edited.

Return of the King Soundtrack CD Cover:
Coming Soon
received cover art for the soundtrack of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. The
CD cover could also be a first look at the final poster for the movie. The site also posted more info on
the artists who worked on the album including Annie Lennox and of course composer Howard Shore:
"It is good to begin well; it is better to end well," comments Howard Shore. "This simple phrase has come to mind often as I approach the end of this epic project. I believe that we all have felt a great spirit leading us and guiding us to the finish. We all focused on perfecting the small details of our work each day in the hope that, together, they would produce a wonderful whole, a complete world to experience and for generations to enjoy. We worked seriously and steadily, but always with good humor."

Transporter 2 a fact!:
Jason Statham is ready for another Transporter movie! The first one was a fun ride
including some fine fight sequences choreographed by Corey Yuen who will also be back for the sequel. Here's
what Jason had to say:
"I'm doing another Transporter movie and that's late spring. They're writing it now... Corey Yuen's going to direct, yeah. I'm very thrilled about the prospect of what we're going to get up to... Without giving too much away, it's going to be in the U.S. All the mistakes we made in the first one, we're going to iron out and deliver something much bigger in the scale of things and the scope. So yeah, I'm so excited. When we find out where we're going, you have to come to the set! There's been some talk of it being in Florida or somewhere or maybe on the West Coast. We just don't know yet what's going to work in Luc's head. We're not going to make another one in the south of France - it would be silly to do that. We've sort of done it."

No Jinx for Berry:
Hally Berry is working hard on the Catwoman movie at the moment, still hope they'll
replace the ridiculous costume with the rubber ears, but Berry won't be back as Jinx in
the James Bond spin-off. Last week MGM told Eon to stop work on the project and press ahead instead with
Bond 21, due to shoot in 2005. MGM, you break my heart...

Dirty Harry is back?:
Interesting newsfact, some sort of 80's movies revival is just around the corner, Rambo, Rocky, Indiana Jones
and now Dirty Harry could be back to make his day! Here's what Dark Horizons
reports:
"Mystic River" has done pretty nicely for Warner overall, so they're out to utilize Eastwood. They want him to do another "Dirty Harry" movie and have been talking about it with him for a while. The argument is, Eastwood thinks Harry Callahan is too old - he's probably right - to be chasing criminals, but the studio isn't budging. They want another "Dirty Harry" movie. One option - start afresh with a new Dirty Harry. No idea who they'd get, but that's certainly something that's been discussed in the past, remaking that first one again. Eastwood's a great director and I think he's determined to stay behind the camera, but a new 'Harry' might upset people...tough call for now".

Infernal Affairs coming to the USA:
Great news, Miramax has the distribution rights to the Hong Kong cop thriller Infernal Affairs!
The movie will also be a contender for Best Foreign Language film next year at the Oscars. WB has the
remake rights with Brad Pitt attached. Infernal Affairs is a great character driven movie, I bought the
Chinese DVD a couple of months ago, I'll try to write a review later this month.

Jada Pinkett talks Collateral:
Jada Pinkett (Matrix's Niobi) talked to BBCi Films
about her role in Michael Mann's thriller Collateral. The movie tells the story of a cab
driver (Jamie Foxx) who is forced to drive a hitman (Tom Cruise).
"I play an Assistant State Attorney and I'm one of the characters who's on Tom Cruise's hit list," she says.
"I love Michael Mann and Tom Cruise is just a ball of sunshine! He's just a ball of electricity and I really,
really enjoy him. It's been a wonderful experience and I'm having a lot of fun."

Chancellor Palpatine talks Episode III:
Ian McDiarmid, better known as Star Wars' Chancellor Palpatine talked to Teletext
about his challenging role in Episode III and revealed some great stuff:
"You'd imagine that my character has been rather deskbound in the past but this time he will get to take part in the action.
I can't give the story away as George Lucas would kill me but I have been engaged in far more physical
activities than any of the other films. I have found myself sliding down chutes at speed and landing on
heaps of rubber, it's been a completely new experience for me. I haven't had to go down the gym to get
fit for the scenes but I did need a few rehearsals to get up to speed. Most of my scenes have been with
Anakin Skywalker [Hayden Christensen] who eventually becomes Darth Vader.
There's a lot of anticipation about the movie and I think it will be worth the wait."
I Hope The Force is with Episode III, guys!

Guess who will be Lex Luthor?:
It seems like the search for the right Superman isn't over yet but there's also another important character
in the movie everybody's forgetting, Lex Luthor. My buddy over at Dark Horizons
got some interesting casting developments:
"Heard that Vin Diesel - as Luthor - has met with McG and Jon Peters about Superman. Diesel turned down a
couple of films lately - "xXx 2" for one - and someone I know seems to think it's because he'll be booked
out for a good year or so on Superman LSOK. BUT...there's another stumbling block, McG has plans to do
another movie first. I don't think he or anyone else associated is very interested in it anymore - yes
THAT many people have met for Superman. It's been ongoing. The only difference now is that they might have
an idea where they'll film, they've got a script, they've got a director and they've got a potential Lois
[Selma Blair and Drew Barrymore fighting for it]. You really think Vin Diesel's going to put up with all
the delays?"
I think we're gonna see Star Wars 7, 8 and 9 first before we finally get to see The Man of Steel...
