ARCHIVES WEEK 43 2006

Superman returns for the sequel!:
It's a bit of a slow week, guys, but I've got some good news to end the week. With Superman Returns breaking $200 Million domestically and a worldwide gross of over $390 million, WB is moving forward with the sequel!
The bad news is that shooting would probably begin early 2008 for a Summer 2009 release, so we have to wait a few years to see the Man of Steel back in action.
Bryan Singer has finalized a deal to move forward with the sequel, most of the cast and crew will also be back.
One thing's for sure, according to IESB, Superman will be in "full action battle mode" and he "will have the battle of his life in the sequel and audiences can expect one of the ultimate baddies in the D.C. universe to come to Metropolis to pick a fight with the Man of Steel."
Awesome! I'll be back this weekend with the next update!

Hellraiser remake?!:
Dude, remake #123578 is being developed. This time the one and only Pinhead will get a revisit... but there's hope, cuz
Clive Barker will not only produce the Hellraiser remake, he will write the script himself! Check this out:
"They're going to remake Hellraiser One with a lot more money and they've invited me to write it - the invitation came from Bob Weinstein - which I am going to do, on the basis that if I don't do it, it will be done in some way that I probably won't like!
It's only that one that I really, really, really care about in terms of its remake value - and it'll be kind of fun to have the extra money to do the effects and all that cool stuff.
So it puts me in the situation of writing both the beginning and the end of Pinhead at the same time - 'In my end is my beginning…' I'm not in the middle, as it were, I'm leaving out his middle age, I'm just dealing with his beginning and his end.
I'm excited about it - actually it'll be kinda cool to revisit it once and see if there are things we can do to it which will make it significantly better."
I'm curious but sceptic at the same time, will keep you posted.
