Superman returns for the sequel!:
Het is een beetje een traag weekje, guys, maar ik heb spannend nieuws om de week goed af te sluiten. Superman Returns heeft inmiddels $200 miljoen in de U.S. opgebracht en $390 miljoen wereldwijd. Dat
is voor WB voldoende om het vervolg groen licht te geven. Het slechte nieuws is dat we nog een paar jaar moeten wachten.
De preproduction staat in 2008 op de planning, de releasedate is in de zomer van 2009. Bryan Singer heeft afgelopen weekend met de studio een accoord bereikt, de rest
van de cast en crew worden ook betrokken bij het vervolg. IESB vermeldt het volgende over de inhoud van de sequel: "Superman will be in full action battle mode. We've been told that Superman will have the battle of his life in the sequel and audiences can expect one of the ultimate baddies in the D.C. universe to come to Metropolis to pick a fight with the Man of Steel."
Awesome! Volgende update is dit weekend!

U.S. Box Office Oct 20-22:
Chris Nolan's The Prestige kwam op de eerste plaats binnen, terwijl Clint Eastwood's war epic Flags of Our Fathers
met de derde positie, iets minder presteerde dan verwacht. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Hellraiser remake?!:
Dude, remake #123578 staat op de planning. Deze keer wordt the one and only Pinhead in een nieuw jasje gestoken... maar er is hoop,
want Clive Barker gaat niet alleen de Hellraiser remake produceren maar buigt zich ook over het script! Check this out:
"They're going to remake Hellraiser One with a lot more money and they've invited me to write it - the invitation came from Bob Weinstein - which I am going to do, on the basis that if I don't do it, it will be done in some way that I probably won't like!
It's only that one that I really, really, really care about in terms of its remake value - and it'll be kind of fun to have the extra money to do the effects and all that cool stuff.
So it puts me in the situation of writing both the beginning and the end of Pinhead at the same time - 'In my end is my beginning…' I'm not in the middle, as it were, I'm leaving out his middle age, I'm just dealing with his beginning and his end.
I'm excited about it - actually it'll be kinda cool to revisit it once and see if there are things we can do to it which will make it significantly better."
Ik ben een beetje sceptisch maar ook nieuwsgierig, will keep you posted.

Newsflash:
Een hele snelle update vandaag, guys, enjoy the weekend;
 De trailer van Dreamgirls is online! De cast van de musical bestaat uit Jamie Foxx, Beyonce Knowles, Danny Glover en Eddie Murphy. Klik hier voor de trailer.
Timothy Olyphant en Mary Elizabeth Winstead zijn toegevoegd aan de cast van Live Free or Die Hard. Tim speelt de tegenstander van Bruce Willis en Winstead speelt de dochter van Bruce. De vierde Die Hard film wordt geregisseerd door Len Wiseman (Underworld), de rest van de cast bestaat uit Justin Long en Maggie Q. Source The Hollywood Reporter
Wow, Universal Pictures en 20th Century Fox hebben de financiële stekker getrokken uit de big screen productie van Halo! Bronnen vermelden dat een conflict over de winstverdeling de oorzaak is. Source: Variety
