Newsflash:
 De nieuwe trailer van Ocean's Twelve is nu online en ze zijn allemaal weer terug in dit vervolg; George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Julia Roberts, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Vincent Cassel, Elliott Gould, Eddie Jemison en Carl Reiner.
Glenn Close speelt tegenover Michael Chiklis in de politie serie The Shield! Close zal de rol vertolken van een Captain die Chiklis in de gaten moet houden. Helaas is niet bekend of dit vierde seizoen ook in Nederland op de buis zal verschijnen. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Rolling Stones gitarist Keith Richards is de vader van Captain Jack Sparrow in de Pirates of the Caribbean sequels. Johhny Depp heeft zich namelijk laten inspireren door Keith Richards toen hij zijn karakter creëerde. Source: Yahoo! Movies
En hier zijn weer de laatste Superman ontwikkelingen; Kevin Spacey wordt genoemd als de nieuwe Lex Lethor. Regisseur Bryan Singer is helemaal weg van Richard Donner's movies en zal Superman part I en II gebruiken als background story voor de nieuwe film. Singer vertelt het volgende over Superman acteur Brandon Routh:"He has the perfect physicality for the role and will be great." De regisseur bevestigt ook dat John Williams' music theme gebruikt zal worden in Superman Returns en dat is goed nieuws!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Prequel update:
Producer Andrew Form vertelde meer over de prequel van The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. De prequel zal
uitleggen waarom Leatherface een kettingzaag gebruikt als zijn moordwapen en waarom hij een masker draagt:
"We thought that a lot of people who saw the movie always wondered why he uses a chainsaw. No one really explains it, he just does. We tried to explain a little bit in our version why he wears a mask, but here we're really going to try to show you how the mask originated, and stuff like that.
We're not going back into his childhood. You're not going to see him at the prom-you'd be surprised at some of the ideas we heard. This is still a Texas Chainsaw Movie movie; it's not going to be a family drama where you see how this kid grew up and all that. It still has to be what our last movie was, which was fun and scary and kind of a ride."

Fantasic Four update:
Superhero Hype kreeg de kans om een aantal
interessante vragen te stellen aan de cast en crew van Fantastic Four! Regisseur Tim Story en Michael Chiklis (als The Thing) onthulde een
paar sappige details. Here's a clip:
What's it like working on sets like the Brooklyn Bridge set?
Michael Chiklis: This goes under the category of 'you know you're in a huge movie when...' The first day I went to the Brooklyn Bridge set, to see a 75 yard section of the Brooklyn Bridge having been recreated with a half a mile track in a circle so that traffic can flow through it with three stories of blue screen. You know, you walk on the set that day and you go 'WOW' (hold up hand to ear) "Hey mom! Mom! You gotta see this!" To see it unfold, and we're going to spend eight days on that and we're not done with that set yet. And then second-unit starts an equal amount of time on that set, and it's going to translate into maybe 2 or 3 minutes of the movie. It's an extraordinary thing to watch and for me, spending 11 to 12 hours in latex is fun! (laughing).
Tim, this is a different genre for you. You've done Barbershop, you've done Taxi, what different approach are you taking this time?
Story: You know I don't know if it's that much different of an approach. It's a character-driven, and that is one of the reasons, hopefully, why they brought me on. I remember sitting down with Avi and Ralph in terms of what support I would have for action and special effects because I knew I didn't have a lot of experience with that. And they said, you know what, we brought you to the table for character and story and we'll support you with the rest of it. I look at it if I have to make a movie work, absent of the action sequences and absent of the special effects, if I can pull that part and make it successful I think the rest will take care of itself because the special effects, we have some serious wizards on this movie and it's going to be incredible, so didn't really have to deal with that. I felt comfortable and once I had a cast and Avi had the script I had the tools to make it work.

Who is Superman?!:
It's official, het is niet Jim Caviezel of Jake Gyllenhaal geworden maar Bryan Singer heeft besloten dat acteur Brandon Routh de
nieuwe Superman wordt. Veel filmsites kregen gisteren het nieuws in de mailbox maar Latino Review
was de allereerste die het nieuws online plaatste. De site heeft een leuke Halloween foto van Brandon als Clark Kent en vermeldt verder
dat de acteur een aantal kleine rolletjes heeft gespeeld in One Life to Live, Gilmore Girls en Will & Grace.
Maar er is ook ander interessant Superman nieuws, Dark Horizons heeft
meer informatie over het verhaal van de film. Het lijkt erop dat Singer trouw zal blijven aan Richard Donner's flick:"The film starts off with Superman having been missing for six years. Also, the Kryptonian production design element will be almost identical to the first film - so expect Krypton and the Fortress of Solitude to be very much the slanted ice crystal motif we've all been used to."
Superhero Hype heeft ook meer details:
"Superman writers Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris were recently spotted on the WB lot going through stacks and stacks of Superman comic books, so it appears that they are going back to the source material for inspiration. Our sources also confirmed that General Zod will be involved in some capacity."
Kortom, het ziet er allemaal goed uit, heb er alle vertrouwen in dat Bryan Singer een geweldige film zal maken en ben zeer benieuwd
hoe Brandon Routh eruit gaat zien in de Superman outfit..

Lock and Loaded finds director:
50 Cents' "8 Mile"-achtige filmdebuut Lock and Loaded zal geregisseerd worden door Jim Sheridan. De regisseur leverde
de afgelopen jaren prachtige drama's zoals In America, The Boxer en The Field dus
het lijkt erop dat de studio een serieuze "gangsta-turns-rapper" film wilt maken.

U.S. Box Office Oct 15-17:
Shark Tale staat voor de derde week op de eerste plaats en de football film Friday Night Lights
staat voor de tweede week op de tweede plaats. De grote verassing is dat Trey Parker's and Matt Stone's Team America niet
op de eerste plaats maar op een teleurstellende derde plaats binnenkomt. Het enige wat de film nog kan redden is
een goede mond-op-mond-reclame. Volgende week zullen we zien of dit effect zal hebben, nu eerst the rest of the top ten:

George Lucas receives award:
The American Film Institute's (AFI) Board of Trustees zal George Lucas eren met een 33rd AFI Life Achievement Award.
"I've been very fortunate to have had a long career doing what I love to do, and being recognized by AFI for it is really an honor," vertelde Lucas. "I'm proud to be counted among such an extraordinary group of people whose lives are dedicated to the art of making movies."

Sean Combs speelt naast Jay Hernandez, Luis Guzman en Burt Young in Carlito's Way, The Beginning. De film is een prequel van Brian De Palma's gansterfilm waar Al Pacino in speelde. Source: Fox news
Julia Roberts zal de stem verzorgen van een mier in Ant Bully. De computeranimate wordt geregisseerd door John Davis (Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius). De rest van de cast bestaat uit Shirley MacLaine, Paul Giamatti, Alan Cumming en Ricardo Montalban. Source: Variety

Een nieuwe poster van het vervolg op Get Shorty, Be Cool, is online. John Travolta speelt weer Chili Palmer, de rest
van de cast bestaat uit Uma Thurman, Vince Vaughn, Harvey Keitel, Danny DeVito en The Rock.
De poster van Ocean's 12 is ook online. De complete cast is weer terug in dit vervolg op Ocean's 11, klik op de posters voor grote versies.

Chris Rock hosts The Oscars!:
This is great news, comedian Chris Rock wordt de gastheer van The 77th Academy Awards. De producer van de show
vertelde het volgende:
"I am a huge fan of Chris Rock,. He always makes me laugh and he always has something interesting to say. Chris represents the best of the new generation of comics. Having him host the Oscars is terrific. I can't wait."
