Newsflash:
Hi guys, hieronder het laatste filmnieuws van deze week, ik ben dit weekend weer terug met een nieuwe update:
 Breck Eisner (Sahara) gaat een remake regisseren van de classic monster flick uit 1954, Creature From the Black Lagoon. "I've always been a fan of the original," vertelde Eisner, "But for this I would love to just update and modernize the film. We see it as an aggressive sci-fi horror film in the vein of an Alien or like John Carpenter's The Thing. We want to elevate the source material." Source: Hollywood Reporter
Nieuwe acteurs vergezellen Ray Romano, Denis Leary en John Leguizamo in Ice Age 2: The Meltdown. Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck en Jay Leno zullen de stemmen verzorgen van de nieuwe figuurtjes in deze animatiefilm. Source: USA Today

Martin Campbell talks Casino Royale:
Latino Review sprak met Casino Royale regisseur Martin Campbell. De regisseur vertelde dat de nieuwe 007 film een andere stijl krijgt:
"Well the reason I'm doing Bond is because it's the first book, Casino Royale is the first book. What's interesting about this is Bond when he's starting out. He's just got his 00's stripes and he's not the perfect Bond at all. I mean he makes mistakes, he's a little raw, he's a little arrogant, he's a bit of a loose cannon, but by the end of the movie of course he becomes the perfect machine Bond that we know.
The truth is that I think with the style of movie that Pierce, his last one for example, I think with the gadgets, the invincible car, the huge sort of ice palaces, the kind of water skiing off or should I say snow boarding...I mean I just thought it got preposterous and then finally the 747 going down in a massive amount of flames that goes on forever. I think they got to a point where you couldn't go any more than that. It was getting too ridiculous.
This time we definitely wanted to go back to more realistic Bond. More like From Russia With Love, more kind of creditable if you will and that's the directive and that's why we've cast Daniel Craig. I think it definitely needs a change in direction."

Transformers talk:
Writing duo Roberto Orci en Alex Kurtzman spraken over de live action Transformers film dat geregisseerd wordt
door Michael Bay! De schrijvers vertelden het volgende:
"We are working with Michael very closely right now on the movie and so far everyone is really happy with what we're doing so knock on wood.
Its a really great group, everyone loves the franchise, loves the universe, we want to make a great movie.
We are handling everything like a Supreme Court. We are taking everything in from the fans and taking it under judicial review. Treating every decision like it's law. I don't know how we can do it without making Megatron a tank...that's probably how where we're going to end up."

Eight Below trailer:
Steven Spielberg's producing partner Frank Marshall zit weer op de regisseurs stoel (zijn laatse film was Congo) en heeft een spannende avonturenfilm afgeleverd met de titel Eigth Below.
De film over slee-hondjes is gebaseerd op een waar gebeurd verhaal en de hoofdrol wordt vertolkt door Paul Walker. Ondanks dat de film een hoog Lassie gehalte heeft, ziet de trailer er spectaculair uit, klik op de pic voor meer.

U.S. Box Office Oct 14-16:
Clark Kent... ik bedoel Tom Welling's horror remake The Fog verpletterde de klei-figuurtjes dit weekend. De film kwam met 12 million bucks op de eerste
plaats binnen. Tony Scott's actie thriller Domino deed het met een zesde positie een stuk minder dan verwacht. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Hi guys, interessante update vandaag! Laten we beginnen met de newsflash:
Andy Garcia speelt naast Jeremy Piven, Ryan Reynolds, Alicia Keys en Ben Affleck in de actie komedie Smokin' Aces. Joe 'Narc' Carnahan gaat de film regisseren. Smokin' Aces vertelt het verhaal van een goochelaar die op de hielen gezeten wordt door gevaarlijke hitmen. Source: Variety
De teaser website van X-Men 3 is nu online. Brett Ratner regisseert en de cast bestaat uit Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen, Halle Berry, James Marsden, Anna Paquin, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Kelsey Grammer, Vinnie Jones, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Bill Duke en Michael Murphy. And the new Bond is...:
It's official, dudes... maar geen verassing, de nieuwe James Bond is Daniel Craig! De acteur heeft prima rollen gespeeld in
Layer Cake en Road to Perdition, ben benieuwd wat voor 'n Bond hij neerzet in Casino Royale.
"It has been a long time ambition for us to film the first book in the series, Casino Royale, which defined the complex character of James Bond," vertelden producers Michael G. Wilson en Barbara Broccoli, "We are thrilled Daniel Craig will play the character of 007. Daniel is a superb actor who has all the qualities needed to bring a contemporary edge to the role. Casino Royale will have all the action, suspense and espionage that our audiences have come to expect from us but nevertheless takes the franchise in a new and exciting direction."
De eerste foto is ook binnen, here's Daniel Craig as James Bond!

Howard Shore leaves King Kong:
Minder leuk nieuws, Lord of the Rings composer Howard Shore heeft Peter Jackson's King Kong verlaten en wordt nu vervangen door James Newton Howard.
Peter Jackson vertelt het volgende:
"I have greatly enjoyed my collaborations with Howard Shore, whose musical themes made immeasurable contributions to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. During the last few weeks, Howard and I came to realize that we had differing creative aspirations for the score of King Kong. Rather than waste time arguing with a friend and trying to unify our points of view, we decided amicably to let another composer score the film. I'm looking forward to working with James Newton Howard, a composer whose work I've long admired, and I thank Howard Shore, whose talent is surpassed only by his graciousness."
Jammer, maar James Newton Howard is een goede vervanger, hij schreef o.a. de prachtige muziek voor Signs, The Village en Batman Begins.
