Stan Lee on Fantastic Four 2 set!:
The folks over at Superhero Hype got the first official photo of Stan Lee filming his cameo for Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer in Vancouver. The legendary Stan Lee is the man who created most of the Marvel superheroes. Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer is directed by Tim Story and stars Michael Chiklis, Ioan Gruffudd, Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Julian McMahon, Beau Garrett and Andre Braugher. I don't know why, but this photo makes me happy! Click for a bigger version, I'll be back this weekend with a new update.

Are The Hobbits coming?:
Pretty cool news, guys, a petition with 39116 signatures to bring The Hobbits to the big screen, was delivered to MGM and New Line. The One Ring received a letter from MGM, with an official statement, check this out:
"Peter Jackson's phenomenal success with The Lord of the Rings trilogy makes him the first and most ideal choice for directing The Hobbit. MGM would be thrilled to collaborate with the Academy Award-winning director on this MGM New Line Cinema production. And, I'm sure to the delight of the 50,000 filmgoers who have petitioned us in recent weeks, demanding we bring this film to fruition, we have had a few initial conversations about the project with Mr. Jackson's representatives."
Power to the people! I'll keep you posted!

Ridley Scott talks Gladiator 2 and Warriors remake!:
Director Ridley Scott talked to Coming Soon about a possible prequel or sequel to Gladiator; "It's possible. You can deal with that and bring back Russell. I know what to do, and you don't do a prequel."
Very interesting! The director has also been developing a remake of Walter Hill's 1979 cult classic The Warriors with his brother Tony, and revealed that Tony might actually be directing it. The Warriors revolves around a huge war between street gangs which will be set in New York, according to Ridley Scott.

Newsflash:
According to Production Weekly, Sylvester Stallone is set to produce and direct the new Rambo flick, based on his own script titled, Rambo IV: In the Serpent's Eye. The lonesome warrior will go against some sadistic Burmese soldiers. Production is scheduled for January in Thailand. Later this year, Stallone also returns as Rocky Balboa in the 6th chapter of the Rocko boxing series, excellent!
Well, I don't know if he's bringin' sexy back in his movies, but the new trailer for Justin Timberlake's Alpha Dog is now online right here.
More horror remakes are coming up, after The Hitcher remake, Michael Bay's production company, Platinum Dunes, also plans to remake the fantastic vampire cult classic Near Dark! The new version will be directed by Samuel Bayer. Man, just like The Hitcher, Near Dark should be left untouched. Source: Variety
Director Zack Snyder, who also did a remake of the Dawn of the Dead, which I really like... so things could turn out fine, anyway, he talked a bit about the upcoming Watchmen film; "We're getting ready to turn a script that we like into this studio. They're pretty excited about it. I think the script that Alex Tse has done for us is the closest to the graphic novel it's been since development started, for better or for worse. I feel like Alex has done an awesome job. It's keeping all the things that are cool about the comic." Click here for more!
