Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash update:
New Line's Jeff Katz talked about the scripttreatment he wrote for the Freddy vs. Jason sequel, which involves a new character, Evil Dead's Ash:
"There's nothing official on the Freddy Vs. Jason 2 front yet, but I wrote the treatment and we're all very excited about it. It's not about box office and what would make for the most commercial sequel. It's about delivering a story that will be better than the first and a story that makes sense given the continuity of the franchises."

X-men 3 writer found!:
Simon Kinberg will write the screenplay for X3. He also worked on other Marvel projects including Fantastic Four and Elektra. Here's what he had to say:
"I'm a religious reader of the comics, and I loved the first two movies. I had a great experience with Fox and Marvel on the other projects, and when they came to me and asked me if I had any interest in X3, I was ecstatic. I grew up on them, and I love these comics, and it's exciting to take a whack at making the third the biggest and best in the trilogy; it's our RETURN OF THE KING."

Latino Review talked to Collateral star Jamie Foxx who revealed that he is ready to play Ricardo Tubbs in the Miami Vice big screen film! Collateral director and creator of the populair TV series, Michael Mann, is developing the project, it's not known if he will also direct the film.
Moviehole posted a Mummy 3 update. The site reported that director Stephen Sommers considers to cast Oded Fehr in the leading role and not Brendan Fraser. Fehr recently starred in the Resident Evil sequel. Having a lesser name carry the film doesn't matter anyway because the real star of the movie will be the special effects.

Team America fires composer:
Marc Shaiman's score for Team America: World Police has been rejected and the movie's creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have hired Harry Gregson-Wagner (Shrek) to do the job. Shaiman also wrote the score for the South Park movie.
Team America will be released in just two weeks, so this is going to be a tough gig for Harry Gregson-Wagner, good luck...
