Paul Verhoeven returns to the Low Lands:
Paul Verhoeven is returning to The Netherlands to make a movie! He's finishing a script called Zwartboek
(Blackbook) with screenwriter Gerard Soeteman at this moment. The thriller takes place at the end of
World War II in 1945. This project will be his first Dutch movie since he left Holland to start a
career in Hollywood back in 1983. "I always wanted to come back here to make a movie again," says
Verhoeven, "It's going to be a typical Dutch film but it also has to be good enough to compete on an
international level."
Zwartboek will be shot in The Hague and Biesbosch, cast and crew is unknown at this point. Maybe
he'll ask Jan de Bont to be the DOP... I'll keep you posted on this one!

No more movies for Schwarzenegger:
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger officially stated that he's concentrating on his new job and will put
his movie career on hold for a while. Folks that means no Terminator 4 (well, without
Arnold), Westworld and King Conan... No Conan? Man, that sucks!

Freddy vs. Jason DVD details:
Director Ronny Yu talked to Movie Hole about
the Freddy vs. Jason DVD including an alternate ending:
"There are so much Freddy fans, and there are so much Jason fans. Probably about fifty-fifty. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't upset anyone. I wanted everyone to walk out of the cinema with big smiles on their faces. So we shot two endings, and at the end I could present them both and see which one was the best. Ultimately, the other ending - the one you see now - was the one that satisfied the fans the most". Yu says that other ending will be on the forthcoming DVD. "It will be on there. Most definitely. But I'm not telling you who wins in that one", he laughs. "There's a great DVD coming actually. I love it. It's called a Platinum Collectors edition and it'll be two discs. On the first disc we will have this whole feature on the evolution of both series with interviews and everything, leading right up to Freddy vs. Jason. And then we have some deleted scenes, including some of the CGI stuff that I just didn't think worked. There are also two commentaries - One just me by myself, and then one with Englund and the guy that plays Jason".
Ronny Yu also talked about a Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael Myers movie and plans to start on a movie version
of the fantastic anime Blood: The Last Vampire!:
"It's about this highschool girl who carries this huge Samurai sword. We've just started on the script but ideally we'd be having a mix-match of American and Japanese actors for it".

QT interested in James Bond movie?:
Seems that Quentin Tarantino is interested in doing a James Bond movie according to AICN:
"Someday I'm going to get the rights to do 'Casino Royale,' the first James Bond novel, and do it the right way. I really wanted it to be my followup to 'Pulp Fiction' and do it with Pierce Brosnan, but have it take place after the events of 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' - after Bond's wife, Tracy, has been killed."I want Bond to be in mourning when he falls in love with Vesper Lynd, the woman in the novel. From what I know of Brosnan and read in interviews, I think he'd want to go in the direction I'd want to take Bond, though I'm not certain producers of the series would agree."
Gosh, I would love to see this!

Peter Stormare talks Brothers Grimm :
Actor Peter Stormare (Fargo) talked to The Z Review about his
role in Terry Gilliam's fantasy flick Brothers Grimm!:
"My character is very interesting, because he has both a light and a dark side to his personality. In the beginning, he is quite evil, but then he develops into a good guy. One might even say that the character is raving mad, but remember - this film is directed by Terry Gilliam, so he operates in an area ranging from John Cleese to the completely demonic. All the male actors I know have one dream - to play in a film directed by Terry Gilliam. He is both cult and king! Maybe he wasn't the mastermind behind Monty Python, but he was the one that kept the members together, he was the director, and he also created those incredible cartoons. So to me, acting in a film by Gilliam is a dream come true. I know Matt through our mutual pal Ben Affleck, and I also know Lena Headey, who plays another main role."

Jessica Biel talks Blade III:
Jessica Biel, starring in the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre, talked about her next
project Blade: Trinity. She'll play the daughter of one of the toughest guys around; Whistler (Kris Kristofferson)!
Here's what she had to say about training hard in order to kick some Vampire ass:
"What's cool about Blade is that I'm not learning just one [technique], he has experience...I think probably hundreds of techniques of different martial arts, boxing, street fighting. What's cool about it, it's not gonna be anything like Crouching Tiger. No one is suspended in the air, this is like back to old school fighting techniques. I mean I'm just kicking people in the head all the time."
Check out the rest of the great interview right here.

Kill Bill DVD details:
The movie hasn't been released yet and Quentin Tarantino already talks about the DVD:
I can't imagine a better movie when it comes to great DVD stuff... We'll come up with separate DVDs for
Volume 1 and Volume 2 and I'll do special stuff for each of those. Then we'll come up with a real big
version with them both together but I won't repeat the special stuff I put on Volume 1 and Volume 2.
I'll do something whole other from that. I might even do some other little movie thing just to go on
that special double feature version." Great news though...
