Martin Campbell talks Casino Royale!:
Thank God, Martin Campbell, director of the new James Bond flick Casino Royale, cleared things up about casting agent 007. The director confirmed that Goran Visnjic, Henry Cavill, Daniel Craig and Sam Worthington all did a screen-test and that the announcement will be made in "less than three weeks." So that means the film will feature a 'young' James Bond.
Martin Campbell is also looking for an actor to play the main villain, Le Chiffre, and he is considering French actors for the part.

Halo update!:
Big news for the Halo fans! Lord of the Rings' Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh will produce this epic sci-fi film that is based on the popular video game! Here's what Peter had to say:
"As a gaming fan, I'm excited to bring HALO's premise, action and settings to the screen with all the specificity and reality today's technology can provide. Fran and I are intrigued by the unique challenges this project offers, and we're delighted to be working again with our friends at Universal, and with our new ones at Fox and Microsoft. I'm a huge fan of the game and look forward to helping it come alive on the cinema screen."
"I couldn't be more pleased, or proud, to continue our relationship with Peter and Fran on this film," said Stacey Snider, Chairman of Universal Pictures. "There are no filmmakers who better understand the delicate balance between technology and drama, and how the best use of today's astonishing digital tools is in the service of not only spectacle, but also a solid story."

Simon Kinberg talks X3!!!:
Writer Simon Kinberg talked about the third X-Men film! Here's what he had to say about the challenges of this big production, the story and director Brett Ratner:

"The challenges are the same as any movie. The only difference is this film is larger than any I've been around. I think the biggest challenge from a script standpoint has been making sure we take care of all the characters. There are ten or eleven major characters in this film that all need time and focus. I think this film is much more emotional than I ever imagined. There are some really heart-breaking moments in the movie. And the performances are so damn good, beyond my wildest expectations.

Brett starts from a love of the comics. He's got an immense respect for the X-Men universe. He's also got a lot of respect for Bryan's films, so he's not trying to create a radically different template. He's staying loyal to the tone of the first two films, but he's making this movie more visceral and emotional. Since we're dealing with one of the most intense storylines in X-Men history, he knows how important emotion is. And the actors have really responded to him. Wait till you see Famke Janssen in this film. She's going to blow your mind."

Incredible, check out the rest of the interview here.
