Newsflash:
Hi guys, weer een trage nieuwsweek en ik heb vandaag maar drie interessante headlines. Ik ben dit weekend weer terug met de volgende update!:
 Insomnia Media Group heeft het filmscript Live 2 Tell gekocht, een script dat geschreven is door Tupac Shakur. De rapper schreef het verhaal in 1995 en gaat over het leven van een zwarte tiener die een drugsbaron wordt en vervolgens zijn leven weer een andere positieve wending probeert te geven. Tupac's moeder Afeni Shakur en Preston Holmes gaan de film produceren. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Renée Zellweger gaat de hoofdrol spelen in Miss Potter. Babe's Chris Noonan regisseert deze biografische film over het leven van schrijver Beatrix Potter. Source: Variety

Kirsten Dunst onthulde (per ongeluk) wie de baddies in Spider-man 3 gaan worden! Thomas Haden Church is Sandman en Topher Grace is Venom!
Ann-Margret wordt de schoonmoeder van Tim Allen in The Santa Clause 3. Martin Short is ook gecast als Jack Frost. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Edward Norton, Colin Farrell en Noah Emmerich worden benaderd voor de thriller Pride and Glory. De film vertelt het verhaal van een New York police family dat verscheurd wordt door een corruptie schandaal. Joe "Narc" Carnahan en Gavin O'Conner schreven het script, Gavin zal de film ook regisseren. Source: Variety

Smallville Season 5 update!:
Somebody saaaave me!!! Man, ik zit midden in mijn Smallville season 4 marathon en leek me leuk om de Nederlandse
Superman fans een update van season 5 te geven dat deze maand op de Amerikaanse beeldbuis van start gaat. Executive producer Alfred Gough liet weten wat ons te wachten staat voor het nieuwe seizoen:
"The college environment will open up the storytelling, getting into some stories with some more adult themes. Bigger themes. Even Superman themes.
You'll see the Fortress of Solitude ...What's in that spaceship is also going to be very interesting. It will propel the show in a new direction. You're going to see Lex and Clark much more at odds this year. You'll see Lana and Clark together. And I think you'll see Chloe and Clark become much better friends. She'll reveal that she knows the secret pretty early on, so that's sort of a bond for their friendship. And it's interesting, because your best friend knows the secret. Your girlfriend doesn't. And then there will be some interesting things going on with the parents, too. Lionel is up to no good, as usual."
Clark Kent zal ook een jonge Aquaman en Brainiac ontmoeten, can't wait to see this!

The Visiting update:
De cast en crew van The Visiting waren aanwezig bij de pers conferentie van deze sci-fi film. Nicole Kidman en
Daniel Craig spelen de hoofdrollen, Oliver Hirschbiegel regisseert en Joel Silver produceert de film dat overigens een
remake is van Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
"Its about fear this movie," vertelde producer Joel Silver, "And its not that much of a visual effects picture. Its very smart and I think that what Oliver is doing, is telling a really kind of insidious tale that has great resonance for today and it's scary and threatening and an interesting way of telling a science fiction thriller. The script is wonderful that David wrote but Olivers way of shooting it is very exciting, we will shoot the city of Baltimore a way it's never been seen before."
"If you know anything about the anthology of the body snatchers," voegde screenwriter Dave Kajganich toe, "Its hard to escape a certain political element. The allegory is one of people being taken over when they are not paying attention, when they are sleeping, right, so there’s an element of that. But, you know, I started this script before any of this was happening but being in my room and I look back to it and I deliberately did not watch the film adaptations. I just read the book and I thought what is it about this book that would carry over to today?"

Newsflash:
Finally! Francis Ford Coppola gaat eindelijk weer een film regisseren, zijn laatste film maakte hij 8 jaar geleden. Zijn nieuwe project wordt een low budget film dat zich afspeelt tijdens de onrustige periode vlak voor WWII. Toch zie ik hem liever Godfather IV regisseren... Source: Variety
