Editor's Note:
Vaste movieXplosion bezoekers hebben zich waarschijnlijk afgevraagd waarom er geen update is geweest de laatste dagen. Ik kan helaas niet zeggen dat ik naar een filmset ben geweest of een interview heb gehad met beroemde filmmakers...ik had problemen met mijn internet verbinding. Zucht, krijg ik eindelijk elke dag iets meer bezoekers, ligt internet gewoon eruit. Gelukkig is de oorzaak ondekt en is er hard aangewerkt om de boel weer online te krijgen.
But The Regster is back! Hieronder een overzicht van het belangrijkste film nieuws van de afgelopen dagen. Guys, thanks for visiting movieXplosion.com:
Peter Hyams sprak met Sci-Fi Wire over A Sound of Thunder, het
verhaal gaat over:"a big-game hunter who goes back in time to hunt a dinosaur and inadvertently changes
the future. Hyams, who is no fan of hunting, has changed the character (played by Edward Burns) into a
genetic researcher who is going back in time to take DNA readings in an effort to reconstitute wildlife
that has vanished from the Earth in the future. "And when they come back from one of these [time trips],
things begin to change, and they don't know why things begin to change," Hyams said. "And the changes
escalate." After a number of subsequent time trips, Hyams said, "the city is actually turned into a
primordial jungle. What you're basically seeing is evolution gone berserk, so the few people that are
left are in fact the prey. And what is hunting them are things that no one's ever seen before."

dat Marvel's Man-Thing in full production is:"The new studios here are just fantastic. We couldn't have asked for more. Many have said it before me but I think this will be one of the best comic to flick movies yet."
Brett Leonard (Lawnmower Man, Virtuosity) regisseert.
Vincent Cassel doet mee met George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Andy Garcia en Bernie Mac
in Ocean's Twelve.

Peter Jackson vertelt over Return of the King:"I've come to realise that the third film is the reason why you make the first two,' he goes on to say. 'You want to get to this one, you want to finish it. Also, when Film Three is released you get this other dynamic - at that point it will probably become in most people's minds, a nine-hour film."

Sam Park. The Rock wordt genoemd als vervanger indien Schwarzenegger kiest voor zijn nieuw politieke carričre.

years - Clay McBride and I have definite ideas for sequels with some bizarre twists for the Dutch
character and the Predators that we believe will keep the franchise stories fresh and exciting for

Alexander the Great update:
Oliver Stone vertelde tijdens een interview meer over zijn nieuwe film Alexander the Great. Baz Luhrmann is ook bezig met een film over Alexander maar zit nog in de beginfase van zijn project. Oliver reageerde als volgt: "Ours is going ahead in four weeks on three continents, and I think this is the biggest project of my life, there was no race for me the race was getting the script finished, I feel nervous and anxious, but we are closing the gap fast though! It's a nice break from it to come to Edinburgh. It's a great story, I've been working on the script for so long. There are surface events, but you have to get into a theme and find the characters and take the shot. Baz's "Romeo and Juliet", is my favourite, it shows he can do something really extravagant and beautiful. I don't know about his theme, I think it would have been different if they'd gone first with Leonardo. We've got Colin (Farrell), and I believe he's got true grit, he's very impressive, with a mercurial Irish temperament. In four weeks I'll be able to tell you some more and hopefully by February I'll be smiling!"

New Posters:
Hollywood Dreams heeft als eerste een foto van de nieuwe Robert Zemeckis kerstfilm The Polar Express. Het is geen superscherp plaatje maar wel de moeite waard om het effe te bekijken.

Charles Bronson passed away:
Tough-guy actor Charles Bronson is afgelopen zaterdag overleden ten gevolge van een longontsteking. Hij heeft meer dan 60 films gemaakt waarvan de Death Wish films de bekendste zijn. Persoonlijk gaat mijn voorkeur uit naar zijn performance in Indian Runner. Mr. Bronson is 81 jaar geworden.

The Haunted Mansion Poster:
Een andere Disneyworld ride wordt op dit moment verfilmd. Dit keer geen piraten maar spoken spelen samen met Eddie Murphy de hoofdrol in The Haunted Mansion. Latino Review heeft de mooie poster van de horror film!

Antonio Banderas is ready for Zorro 2!:
Antiono Banderas sprak met Latino Review over Zorro 2. Banderas wilde weer graag met Spielberg werken die het eerste deel produceerde: "That's [Zorro] another landmark actually in my career, and to work with Steven Spielberg is not that bad. [Laughs] I had a great time when I shot the first one. Steven Spielberg came to the theater [Antonio is in a Broadway play called NINE] like several weeks ago and said to me "We want to do a different approach to Zorro this time, we want to make more of an adult movie, and we are going to talk about more of the human stuff, there's going to be a big issue with General in the second part, and more of the relationship between you and your wife" and of course there's going to be stunts and all that stuff but they are going to make the film a little bit more deeper than the first one was, and I thought that was an interesting approach instead of going for the popcorn straight forward, they wanted to something a little more complex than that. I thought that was interesting too."

Kill Bill Vol 2 release date:
Miramax zal het tweede deel van Kill Bill pas in Februari 2004 uitbrengen in plaats van later dit jaar. "Aside from marketing considerations, the split decision has awards implications. "Volume 1" is eligible for Oscars this year and "Volume Two" will be eligible next year. Oscar voters will no longer have to weigh two halves of this franchise that would have been competing for the same vote."

xXx2:
Revolutions Studios is nog steeds van plan om zo snel mogelijk te beginnen aan xXx2. Wie de film gaat regisseren is nog niet bekend, Rob Cohen vertelde dat hij niet geďnteresseerd was in een vervolg maar hij heeft ook niet officieel het project verlaten. Lee Tamahori (Die Another Day) is aan het onderhandelen om het roer over te nemen.
