Garth from Dark Horizons scored huge with a nice pic of Brad Pitt in the upcoming Wolfgang Petersen epic Troy! The site also indicates a possible alternate title Trojan War: Troy. Next is a nice shot of my man "The Rock" in the action flick The Rundown. The movie is directed by Peter Berg and also stars Seann William Scott and Christopher Walken. Check out Latino Review for more production stills. And the last pic of the day is Johhny Depp in Robert Rodriguez's Desperado sequel Once Upon A Time in Mexico! Depp looks amazing and check out Lights Out Entertainment for more pics. Click on the pics below for larger versions.

Paul Schrader fired!:
It's official, Morgan Creek Productions weren't pleased with a roughcut of the Exorcist: The Beginning and simply fired the director Paul Schrader. They wanted more gore but Paul gave them more of a psychological drama (what's wrong with that?). Here's what co-writer Caleb Carr had to say: "The problem with Paul's cut of the movie is it does not deliver the psychological fear we were looking for...It does have some good dramatic elements which can be rearranged with some good shooting into a very good movie."
Too bad, the movie will probably get some re-shoots and re-editing. Bring on the vomit...

Quote of the day:
Harrison Ford revealed some Indy IV stuff during the European promotion of Hollywood Homicide: "I'm delighted to get back to that character and work with (director) Steven Spielberg again. I'm delighted to revisit Indiana Jones."
Need I say more...

Daryl Hannah talks Kill Bill:
Latino Review talked to Daryl Hannah who stars in the upcoming Kill Bill. She talked about why the film was cut into Volume I and II: "I think that it is the only thing to do because this script was that big [puts her fingers into a three inch position.] It was a phone book, it was. It was the size of a telephone book and he added stuff while we were shooting. It's his Magnum Opus. It is. It's what he calls it. And it's all the genres that he is obsessed with, it's Japanese anime, spaghetti western, and kung-fu all combined into one."

And the Batman is...:
Not Bruce Wayne but English actor Hugh Darcy could play the caped crusader according to Dark Horizons and IGN Film Force. The Unofficial Christopher Nolan Site quotes an informant that the deal is almost "Signed, Sealed and Delivered"! Expect more Batman news soon.

Ridley Scott talks about Alien and confirms Gladiator 2?:
Latino review interviewed director Ridley Scott about the Alien re-release and a possible Gladiator sequel. Alien will be re-released in November and Ridley added some new material: "Yeah, there are some scenes that we took out earlier because the dynamics were correct, at the end of the movie the thing is really flying and we put this scene in but it kept coming to a halt. But it was a pretty good scene.
It's a scene lovingly called "THE NEST." Which is what happens when the bodies… Brett [Harry Dean Stanton], Dallas [Tom Skerritt] was taken, there in…and she [Sigourney Weaver] finds them, so there's that, and its pretty ugh!! It's pretty bad. And one of them is still alive.
That's great, Ridley Scott also confirms he wants to make Gladiator 2 with a release date somewhere in 2005.

Peter Jackson talks King Kong:
Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson talked to USA today about his next project, the remake of King Kong: "Richard Taylor's (Jackson's collaborator) department has invested four months into designing clay models of apes and dinosaurs for the Christmas 2005 release. The remake will take place during the same '30s era as the original, but no definitive word yet on whether the monster gorilla will be a totally digital creature."
With Jackson still focused on the trilogy, "We actually haven't had one single meeting yet about how we will technically achieve what is ahead of us," Taylor says."

Catwoman Info:
Superhero Hype posted some great secrets about Catwoman, starring Halle Berry: "This ain't the Catwoman/Selina Kyle as played by Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992's Batman Returns. That is clear now. Our sources are telling us that Catwoman will likely have some extra powers that you haven't seen before. The superhero may have eyes that actually change into cat eyes and she'll be able to jump further than before! And while they probably won't be revealed for a while, Halle Berry is said to be donning two different Catwoman costumes in the film..."
