Casting News:
Sharon Stone gaat waarschijnlijk Catwoman's villain spelen volgens The Hollywood Reporter. "Stone would play a character named Laurel, the head of a cosmetics company by day, evil criminal mastermind by night."
Ander casting nieuws, Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean) heeft getekend voor de vrouwelijke hoofdrol in Jurassic Park 4!
Enrique Iglesias zal hopelijk zuivere noten zingen in The Mambo King 2 als een van de main characters. Over enkele maanden beginnen ze in Spanje met filmen volgens The Z Review.

Blueberry Poster:
Dark Horizons heeft een mooie poster van Blueberry geplaatst. De film is gebasseerd op de Franse western comic en wordt geregisseerd door Jan Kounen! De hoofdrollen worden vertolkt door Vincent Cassel, Juliette Lewis and Michael Madsen. Check out Dark Horizons om nog meer Blueberry posters te zien.

Depp and the Chocolate Factory?:
Johnny Depp is benaderd om weer met Tim Burton te gaan werken. Deze keer moet Depp Willy Wonka spelen in de remake van Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Andere kandidaten zijn Christopher Walken and Michael Keaton.

Brothers Grimm Storyline:
Regisseur Terry Gilliam is op dit moment de fantasy movie The Brothers Grimm in Praag aan het filmen en Fangoria heeft wat meer info over het verhaal: "Brothers Grimm is a dark fantasy about the two "Brothers Grimm" who travel around the Napoleonic countryside vanquishing fake monsters and demons in exchange for cash. When the French government figures out what they're up to, they force the brothers to deal with the real thing, a number of murders being committed under mysterious circumstances in the northern woods between Germany and France. It is there that they have to try and discover what's really happening and deal with it before more people are killed or their lack of success leads to the guillotine."

Val Kilmer joins Collateral:
Val Kilmer is aan het onderhandelen om te spelen in Michael Mann's Collateral:"Kilmer would play a NYC detective who is in hot pursuit of a hitman played by Tom Cruise, using a cabbie (Jamie Foxx) as a driver." Micheal Mann en Val Kilmer hebben eerder samen een film gemaakt en dat was de geweldige thriller Heat en Kilmer heeft ook al een keer tegenover Cruise gestaan als the Iceman in....Top Gun!

The Matrix Revolutions Update!:
The Herald Sun sprak met producer Joel Silver over, jawel, Matrix Revolutions! Silver had het volgende te vertellen: "It's an all-out war between the humans and the machines, and will blow minds. One of the key scenes is a 14-minute, $40 million battle scene that is the most complicated sequence ever put on film."
Entertainment Weekly had ook een artikel over de film en meer details over deze sequence, "it's low-altitude helicopter chase." Keanu Reeves vertelde vervolgens:"there's a battle between Zion and the machines and the relationship between Agent Smith and Neo is resolved. Some questions of the journey of Neo as The One are answered. And lots of surprises."

T3 DVD and Michel Vaillant Trailer:
Ik weet het, deze twee films hebben weinig met elkaar te maken maar ik heb een klein nieuwtje over de films dat ik gewoon even wilde vermelden. Terminator 3 DVD zal in Amerika op 11 november uitkomen. Ik heb nog niet alle details maar mocht jij het ergens vinden, e-mail The Regster!
Het andere nieuws is de fantastische trailer van de stripboek verfilming Michel Vaillant. Luc Besson heeft de film geschreven en geproduceerd maar wederom de regie aan iemand anders overgelaten. De film draait eind dit jaar in de bioscopen. Check out the cool trailer right HERE.

UGO sprak met Daredevil regisseur Mark Steven Johnson (Daredevil) over Ghost Rider!:
UGO: How's Ghost Rider coming along?
MSJ: Awesome. I'm sitting at my screen right now. I'm turning in the draft in a few weeks and I hope to be shooting in the fall.
UGO: Is Nic Cage locked?
MSJ: Right now, Nic is attached. He's a huge fan, with a huge Ghost Rider tattoo on his left shoulder. That's how serious he is.
UGO: Do you see it as Johnny Blaze or Danny Ketch?
MSJ: Johnny Blaze stuntman stuff. I want to take all the stuff from the original and update it. If Evel Knievel was around today, with all his charisma, he'd probably be amazing. He'd be like king of the X-Games and bigger than Tony Hawk. I thought I would do it the way the comics did it.
UGO: But will the look be the Javier Saltares/Mark Texiera one from the '90s?
MSJ: Yeah, that's the one I love. I always liked Johnny Blaze more than Danny Ketch, because I liked that cowboy southwest vibe. But the look was much better later in the Howard Mackie storylines with villains like the [Marvel] Scarecrow.

The Last Samurai Pics:
Coming Soon heeft een paar schitterende pics geplaatst van The Last Samurai. "The movie is an epic story set in the 1870s during the waning days of the traditional samurai warriors in Japan and the rise of the Meiji emperor at the time of the birth of modern Japan. Captain Algren (Tom Cruise) is recruited to train the Japanese army to fight against the samurai."
