Batman Returns!:
Suprise, The Batman will be back! The cast is signed on for a sequel, the script is in the works. They're just waiting for director Chris Nolan to join them. Here's what producer Charles Roven had to say:
"We all hope there is going to be another one. We're waiting for Chris Nolan to declare himself. We will do it after he does that. The point is that the studio owns the franchise, and they can do without any of us but it was a spectacular experience with Chris Nolan, and he kept everyone involved and was very collaborative. So we hope it will happen again with him.

Frank Miller talks 300:
Frank Miller talked about the movie adaptation of his comic 300, which will be directed by Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead remake). Frank Miller will be the executive producer of the film about The Spartans, check this out:
"It's really gorgeous and really brutal. 300 director Zack Snyder showed it to me. I was in-between pieces for Sin City at the time and he showed it to me in the screening room and it was looking really cool. Of course I was jumping all over him about making sure that the phalanx was just right and that kind of stuff. I'm a military history freak so I have to push him that way.
What counterbalances that, is that I'm not the director. Zack is the director so he is the one making the movie. I have to respect that. I know what it's like to be a director and you do not step on those toes. But I will be the fly on the wall jumping all over people saying this is not what a Spartan would do and that sort of thing. But it's going to be Zack's movie."

Karl Urban talks Doom:
Karl Urban talks about the videogame adaptation, Doom! Here what Urban had to say:
"They were offering me the chance to be the Doom guy. John Grimm is a character who's really running away from his past. He's a child prodigy of scientists and turned his back on all of that and chooses to go around killing things and blowing things up as an act of rebellion. And through the course of the film, he confronts his inner demons in order to triumph against all odds. At the end of the day, the story is about the birth of a superhero, if you will."
Cool part of the film is that the audience will experience the action through the eyes of the leading character:
"In some ways, it makes cinematic history in that, for the first time, the audience becomes the hero of the film. When we go into FPS, the audience is doing the rampage, the audience is doing the work and that is so cool. It's insane!"

Mark Steven Johnson talks Ghost Rider!!!:
Director Mark Steven Johnson logged on to the Superhero Hype forum and gave an exclusive update on his Ghost Rider flick. Here's a clip:
"Things are going great on the G.R. front. In fact, today I got to hear the Ghost Rider's voice for the first time!!! My Sound Designer is Dane Davis, who won the Academy Award for The Matrix, and is a true genius when it comes to creating new sounds. To start with, Dane took Nic's reading of all of the Ghost Rider's lines, filtered them through 3 different kinds of animal growls (played backwards, covering three separate frequencies) then played it through a mechanical volumizer, before finally setting the whole thing on fire! It's fantastic. Picture a deep, demonic, mechanical lion's roar and you'll get an idea of what he sounds like. One thing is for sure -- his voice will shake the theatre!"
Awesome, hit the above link, scroll down a bit and read the rest of the update!

Robert Rodriguez talks Sin City DVD:
Robert Rodriguez talked about the special edition of the Sin City DVD, which will be released later this year. Here's what he said about the extended versions of each chapter:
"When I was doing Sin City, you're just very aware that, OK, there's a theatrical release which is pretty much a one-shot. People go and see it in the theatres for a couple of weeks and then they kind of forget about that, and then whatever comes out later is the more definitive version. So, it's all frank, let's just do three stories and I know it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, cram three stories together and we'll shoot the full books but in editing, I just figure out what stuff we need to cut out to make it flow as a feature for the theatrical release so people can sit there under two hours and see sort of a resemblance of what the movie is. But when it goes to DVD, we do the special edition where a second disc would have the stories separated out in their full cut so you can see it the way you would read the books. You just watch That Yellow Bastard and see it full cut or see Big Fat Kill, and that's the way you're supposed to read the books. You're not supposed to read three in a row really quick. So that's going to be cool. So we already thought about that so we shot the full books and all the voice-overs, knowing we could put it together as single episodes and that eventually we did part two and part three, you'd end up having a disc that had all the stories separated and you could put them in any order you want or watch them any way you want."
