Newsflash:
Hi guys, as usual, the last update of the week... but I'll be back with a new one this weekend, enjoy!:
The fourth Die Hard flick gets a new title again; Live Free or Die Hard! Awful.. but I like it! "Our villain is high tech," director Len Wiseman adds, "But the way McClane deals with him is low-tech. A fistfight still solves a lot of problems." Len also reveals that it will be a more epic movie, on a much grander scale. Yippie-ka-yee...! Source: USA today
Joe Letteri and Weta Digital have signed on to create visual effects, creatures and digital environments for James Cameron's new sci-fi film, Avatar. "Weta has proven themselves a leader in visionary effects," Cameron said, "Especially in the area of performance capture based character animation, which is a big part of my new film. Along with their world-class capability comes a genuine passion to blaze new trails and to entertain a global audience with groundbreaking techniques. I'm really looking forward to the collaboration with Joe and his team."

Jackie Chan and Jet Li join forces!:
Kung fu legends Jackie Chan and Jet Li will star together in an action packed movie... well, if they'll get the script right.
It's close but not a done deal, Jackie explains:
"All the hurdles have been overcome. The only problem left is the script. We need a script that he approves and I approve. If that goes well, shooting will start in March or April in Shanghai.
It will be more American-style. It will be more suited to foreign audiences than Chinese audiences. If you make a Hollywood movie, of course you have to follow their wishes. They're paying us so much money."
Can't wait to see this, I'll keep you posted!

Batman Returns!:
It's official, Brokeback Mountain star Heath Ledger is The Joker! The sequel to Batman Begins will
get the ultra-cool title The Dark Knight and Christopher Nolan is set to direct. The script will
be written by Jonathan Nolan, based on a story by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer.
"I'm excited to continue the story we started with Batman Begins," Nolan said, "Our challenge in casting The Joker was to find an actor who is not just extraordinarily talented but fearless. Watching Heath Ledger's interpretation of this iconic character taking on Christian Bale's Batman is going to be incredible."
Production on The Dark Knight will start in early 2007.
