Hi guys, zoals gebruikelijk is dit de laatste update van de week... maar ben dit weekend weer terug met de volgende, enjoy!:
 De vierde Die Hard film krijgt weer een nieuwe titel; Live Free or Die Hard! Beetje fout... but I like it! "Our villain is high tech," vertelde regisseur Len Wiseman, "But the way McClane deals with him is low-tech. A fistfight still solves a lot of problems." Volgens Len wordt de film ook meer "epic, on a much grander scale." Yippie-ka-yee...! Source: USA today
Joe Letteri en Weta Digital gaan de visual effects, creatures en digitale omgevingen verzorgen voor James Cameron's nieuwe sci-fi film, Avatar. "Weta has proven themselves a leader in visionary effects," vertelde Cameron, "Especially in the area of performance capture based character animation, which is a big part of my new film. Along with their world-class capability comes a genuine passion to blaze new trails and to entertain a global audience with groundbreaking techniques. I'm really looking forward to the collaboration with Joe and his team."

Jackie Chan and Jet Li join forces!:
Kung fu legends Jackie Chan en Jet Li gaan samen in een actiefilm spelen... well, als ze het script goedkeuren.
De deal is wel bijna rond, Jackie legt het voor ons uit:
"All the hurdles have been overcome. The only problem left is the script. We need a script that he approves and I approve. If that goes well, shooting will start in March or April in Shanghai.
It will be more American-style. It will be more suited to foreign audiences than Chinese audiences. If you make a Hollywood movie, of course you have to follow their wishes. They're paying us so much money."

Batman Returns!:
It's official, Brokeback Mountain ster Heath Ledger is The Joker! Het vervolg op Batman Begins
krijgt de ultra-coole titel The Dark Knight en Christopher Nolan is terug voor de regie. Het script
dat gebaseerd is op een verhaal van Christopher Nolan en David Goyer, wordt geschreven door Jonathan Nolan.
"I'm excited to continue the story we started with Batman Begins," vertelde Nolan, "Our challenge in casting The Joker was to find an actor who is not just extraordinarily talented but fearless. Watching Heath Ledger's interpretation of this iconic character taking on Christian Bale's Batman is going to be incredible."
De productie van The Dark Knight begint in het voorjaar van 2007.

AVP2 update:
De titel van de Alien vs. Predator sequel wordt Alien vs. Predator: Survival of the Fittest. AVP2 wordt in het najaar in Vancouver opgenomen.
Directors Colin en Greg Strauss maken hun debuut, hopelijk wordt deze film R-Rated... en een stuk beter dan Paul W.S. Anderson's eerste deel!

Nicole Kidman speelt bad girl Mrs. Coulter in de fantasy film The Golden Compass. De film is gebaseerd op het eerste deel van Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogie. Source: Variety
Jessica Biel is te zien naast Adam Sandler en Kevin James in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. In deze komedie doen Sandler en James zich voor als een homo stelletje. Source: The Hollywood Reporter

Michael Mann's Miami Vice veroverde met 25 miljoen dollar de eerste plaats van de Amerikaanse box office. De Piraten zakte naar
een tweede positie maar doen het nog prima met 20 miljoen dollars. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Na Se7en en Fight Club gaat Brad Pitt weer een film maken met regisseur David Fincher. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button vertelt het verhaal van een oude man die elke dag jonger wordt. Source: Variety
Awesome news, ik ben een grote Audioslave fan en frontman Chris Cornell (ook bekend van Soundgarden) zal de titelsong verzorgen van de nieuwe Bond flick Casino Royale! Het nummer heet "You Know My Name" en wordt geschreven door Bond-componist David Arnold.
The Poster archive is vernieuwd met heel veel posters! Nieuwe titels zijn o.a. The Santa Claus 3, Material Girls, Saw III, Lucky You, Renaissance, The Reaping en The Nativity Story. Let vooral op de mooie Renaissance en The Reaping posters, klik op de link om naar de Poster section te gaan.
