Hi guys, hieronder weer de laatste Tinseltown tidbits, ben in het weekend weer terug met een nieuwe update, enjoy:
 Hong kong actor-director Andrew Lau (Infernal Affairs) maakt zijn eerste Engelstalige film met de FBI thriller The Flock. Richard Gere is inmiddels aan boord gekropen om de hoofdrol te vertolken. Source: Variety
Neal McDonough (Band of Brothers) vergezelt Ryan Phillippe, Jesse Bradford, Adam Beach en Paul Walker in Clint Eastwood's war epic Flags of our Fathers. Source: Variety
Wedding Crashers ster Owen Wilson onthulde dat hij samen met Ben Stiller plannen maakt voor een vervolg op Zoolander. Hij vertelde verder dat Shanghai Dawn en Starsky and Hutch 2 "doesn't look like they're happening, but you never know." Een nieuwe Starsky and Hutch film zie ik wel zitten, so bring it on! Indy update:
De jongens van The Indy Experience hebben een interessante Indiana Jones IV update geplaatst. Hun anonieme bron onthult
het volgende:
"Steven Spielberg has agreed in principal to Nathanson's Indy 4 script and is leaving his schedule open for Indy 4 after Munich is released. Everyone in Spielberg's circle, including Spielberg himself,
are very excited about Indiana Jones 4 and are hoping that it gets greenlighted. George Lucas and Jeff Nathanson are currently tweaking the Indy 4 screenplay and
should be finished by the fall to be submitted for greenlight. Harrison Ford has agreed on the script as well."
Hurry up, guys, Ford is getting really old!

Newsflash:
Quicktime versie van de Rumor Has It trailer is nu verkrijgbaar. De romantische komedie is geregisseerd door Rob Reiner en de cast bestaat uit Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Costner, Shirley MacLaine en Mark Ruffalo. Klik hier voor de trailer.
Sahara regisseur Breck Eisner sprak over een vervolg op de avonturenfilm: "Well, yes, we sure hope to be doing one and I think a lot of that depends on actually how we do on DVD. You know, we've done well box office and we want to continue to do well on DVD. And if all things do go well, because it's an expensive movie, then we will do another one. There are 18 books so we have a lot of source material to pull from."
Matthew McConaughey, Penelope Cruz en Steve Zahn hebben in ieder geval getekend voor een sequel. Ik vond Sahara een beetje middelmatig maar ik wil Eisner graag nog een kans geven! Source: About.com

U.S. Box Office July 29-31:
Dankzij mond-op-mond reclame wist Wedding Crashers de eerste plaats te veroveren in de Amerikaanse Box Office.
De film draait al een paar weken in de bioscopen en langzaam omhoog kruipen in het drukke filmseizoen is een fantastische
prestatie! Nieuwkomers Sky High, Stealth en Must Love Dogs hadden weinig impact. Michael Bay's The Island
daalde naar een zevende positie en is hierdoor één van de grootste flops deze zomer. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:
1. Wedding Crashers - $20,475,000 / $116,074,000
2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - $16,385,000 / $148,096,000
3. Sky High - $14,590,000 (new)
4. Stealth - $13,500,000 (new)

Chandrasekhar talks Dukes of Hazzard:
Regisseur Jay Chandrasekhar, lid van de Broken Lizard comedy club, sprak over zijn remake van The Dukes of Hazzard.
Smokey and the Bandits was zijn grote inspiratiebron voor de film, check this out:
When we made "Super Troopers," we wanted to make a movie that had a certain feeling like "Smokey and the Bandit" did. I mean, when I first saw it, I remember counting the swear words and I was just totally blown away by how exciting it was with that flying car. "Super Troopers" was somewhat inspired by "Smokey and the Bandit" and then "The Dukes of Hazzard" TV show was dramatically inspired by "Smokey and the Bandit," not only the stunt style, but Burt Reynolds' name in the movie is Bo and Boss Hogg is Jackie Gleason and there's a dog. Sally Fields has little short shorts on. There are a million corollaries. And then there's that original movie "MoonRunners," which is really two cousins running moonshine. There's an Uncle Jesse, there's a Waylon Jennings doing voiceover. I wanted this movie to feel like those movies, so to say it should feel like "Super Troopers" is a mistake. It should feel like "Smokey and the Bandit."
Geweldig, ik ben gek op de oude Burt Reynolds films, ben dus zeer benieuwd naar The Dukes of Hazzard. Klik hier voor de rest van het interview!

Newsflash:
Hi guys, ik begin dit weekend meteen met de nieuwste casting ontwikkelingen, veel plezier!:
Interessante keuze van Clint Eastwood om Paul Walker te casten voor een hoofdrol in zijn oorlogsfilm Flags of Our Fathers. De rest van de cast bestaat uit Ryan Phillippe, Jesse Bradford en Adam Beach.
Jeff "The Dude" Bridges, Shia LaBeouf en James Woods gaan de stemmen verzorgen van de computer-animatiefilm Surf's Up! De film gaat over penguins die het surfen hebben uitgevonden, inderdaad, de film is gebaseerd op ware feiten. De release date zal ergens in 2007 zijn.
Maggie Gyllenhaal en Maria Bello vergezellen Nicolas Cage en Michael Pena in Oliver Stone's 9/11 film.
Der Untergang regisseur Oliver Hirschbiegel heeft het voorelkaar gekregen om Nicole Kidman te strikken voor de hoofdrol in zijn remake van Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Fantastic Four sequel talk:
De cast van Fantastic Four is klaar voor een sequel. Ze vertellen wat ze willen zien in het vervolg:
Michael Chiklis (Thing): "I'd like to see them move onto the business of being superheroes and facing different arch-villains."
Chris Evans (Human Torch): "More villains and more action. It takes us a while to get used to our powers. We're clumsy, we're testing them out, we're getting used to them, trying to get comfortable in our own skin. The second one, we could really start exploring how cool these powers actually are."
Ioan Gruffudd (Mr. Fantastic): "I'd like to see them in their own environment, as in walking around New York City, using these special powers in everyday life. More of those elements of it. We touched upon that in the movie, for example, Reed Richards walking down the street and he can't quite see where he's going and he stretches up and has a look over the crowd or he's able to hail a cab and get there before anyone else. Just fun little elements like that."
Oh yeah, ik ben ook klaar voor een nieuwe Fantastic Four flick en ik wil graag meer Jessica Alba in lingerie zien! Gelukkig doet de film het prima in de Amerikaanse Box Office, de studio heeft het vervolg al groen licht gegeven!
