Casting update:
A bit of a slow newsweek but I did find some interesting casting developments. I'll be back this weekend with a new update:
Tom Hanks will star in Charlie Wilson's War. Hanks will play a rogue Texas congressman in the drama.
Christian "Batman" Bale and Steve Zahn will star in Rescue Dawn with Werner Herzog as director. The film is based on the real-life story of U.S. fighter pilot Dieter Dengler who was captured in Laos during the Vietnam War.
Elizabeth Banks will star opposite Mark Wahlberg in Disney's Invincible. The movie is based on a Philadelphia Eagles fan who went to the open tryout and ended up playing for the team.

The latest on Superman Returns!!!:
I looks like it's going to be a special Superman Returns weekend, got a new pic and video journal in the previous headlines and now Bryan Singer talked about the epic film at the Comic Con! Here's a rundown of the latest Superman Returns details:
Singer mentioned that it'll will be a love story, exploring the relationship between Clark and Lois.
The custome changes are minor, Singer didn't want to play with the costume too much and wanted to keep the essence, but make something that didn't seem so dated.
Singer called Brandon Routh a fine actor and it was always his intention to cast an unknown.
The director also shared material with the producers of Smallville. He tries to carry the torch and respect the television show.
John Williams score will be used by composer John Ottman. Superman Returns' running time will be over 2 hours.
Singer has access to all of Brando's outtakes that were never used for Superman 2.
Lex Luthor, there will be a lot of humor, but also a darker side to the character.
The movie is being shot with a new digital camera that allows Singer to create an art-deco look that recalls 1940s romantic movies.
Crowd went wild after seeing the footage, which was shown during the Comic Con. This film is going to be huge, great story and visually stunning.
There you go, wish I was there...

Josh Lucas talks The Poseidon Adventure:
Actor Josh Lucas talked about Wolfgang Petersen's The Poseidon Adventure! He explained why the remake will be better than the original disaster movie:
"I would say it's a complete regenesis of that idea. It's quite different, and I think that's one of the things that makes this particular movie ring true. The story is exactly the same story, in the sense that a cruise ship gets hit by a rogue wave and flips over, but every single character is entirely different, and the structure of the movie is very different.
The technology has moved on. You watch the original, and they jump over a chair like they're risking their lives, because they don't have the technology or the money in that film to do anything. It's actually not a bad film; it's quite interesting in certain ways. But the technology that's available - with CGI but also with sets. We're doing a lot of stuff where they built these mind-blowing sets; basically huge chunks of an eight-storey cruise ship upside down. It's on hydraulics so the whole thing collapses and falls apart when you're actually on it. It's pretty spectacular.
Poseidon, to be honest, is a movie that can be quite a bit better than the original."
