Fantastic Four casting update:
Drie van de Fantastic Four castleden zijn bekend gemaakt;
 Ioan Gruffudd (King Arthur) zal de rol van de wetenschapper Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic spelen. Reed heeft de gave om zijn lichaam uit te rekken en verschillende vormen aan te nemen.
Chris Evans (Cellular) is Johnny Storm/The Human Torch. Johnny kan zijn lichaam veranderen in een vliegende vuurbol.
Michael Chiklis (The Shield) speelt Ben Grimm/The Thing. Ben heeft een keiharde opperhuid en is oersterk.
Wie Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman en Doctor Doom zal spelen is nog niet bekend.
Regisseur Tim Story (The Barbershop) zal in september aan de produktie beginnen.

Jonathan Frakes talks Thundebirds:
Jonathan Frakes sprak met Scifi wire over zijn nieuwste film Thunderbirds.
Hij heeft de film gemaakt voor de hele familie met veel "wow" momenten... yeah right, check it out:
"It's a coming-of-age story. There are three kids at the center of it, so it's a story of friendship and loyalty, fathers and sons and coming of age.
I think the adults will love the scenes between Lady Penelope [Sophia Myles, as the Tracy's super-hip and gorgeous partner,] and Parker [Ron Cook, as Penelope's chauffeur and butler]. Their scenes have some great, ironic double-entendre comedy. The kids will love the takeoffs of the ships, because they shake the seats and the palm trees separate. And I'll go out on a limb here and say little girls will love Tin-Tin [Vanessa Anne Hudgens, as one of Alan's adventurous friends], who kicks ass and saves the day. So I wouldn't say there's a single set piece that will wow people. I'd say that we have several 'wow' moments; that they're for different people; and that they're spread out rather nicely across the film."
Ik zie liever een Thunderbirds film voor 16 jaar en ouder. De film draait vanaf 29 juli in de bioscopen.

Pink Panther pics!!!:
Et Voila! De eerste foto van The Pink Panther is verschenen op de site van Dvdrama.com!
Steve Martin speelt de rol van de onhandige Inspector Clouseau (met een mooi klein snorretje!) De rest van de cast bestaat uit Kevin Kline, Beyoncé en Jean Reno. Het verhaal gaat over
een beroemde voetbalcoach die wordt beroofd en vermoord. Inspector Clouseau moet de misdaad zien op te lossen en de gestolen diamanten ring genaamd The Pink Panther, terug vinden. Shawn Levy (Cheaper by the Dozen)

Star Wars Episode III update:
The official Star Wars site heeft weer een Episode III update geplaatst.
Producer Rick McCallum vertelde meer over de bad guy van de film General Grievous:
Grievous has yet to make an appearance in a finished Episode III shot. That's not to say the computer-generated character isn't getting a workout. Already, animation of Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi engaged in a bare-knuckle brawl (if something with metallic fingers can be said to be bare-knuckled) is being developed and approved. Producer Rick McCallum says "There's still work left to do on him before we can add him to shots. It's not until we have a voice for him and can record a guide track for him next month that we can really start animating his character"."
Meanwhile the much-reported-on epic opening shot - OSB10 - was shown to George Lucas for approval the other week. The shot involves starfighters twisting between a pair of massive capital ships. OSB010 now joins dozens of other OSB shots already approved as the opening sequence of the movie shapes up. The Trade Federation vulture droids will be seen to turn, fold and transform on screen - a functionality incorporated into their design years ago for Episode I, but something we have yet to see on the big screen.

New Posters:
Nieuwe posters zijn weer online, we beginnen met een coole poster van Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Milla Jovovich
is weer terug om tegen de zombies te vechten in dit vervolg. De tweede wonderschone poster is van Ray.
Jamie Foxx speelt de hoofdrol in de film over het leven van de legendarische zanger Ray Charles. Klik op de
posters voor grote versies.
Morgen is er weer een grote newsupdate met Box Office results omdat vandaag heel Amerika plat ligt vanwege de
holiday weekend!

Marlon Brando dies at 80:
Ik maakte voor het eerst kennis met Marlon Brando toen ik Superman the Movie zag. Ik was toen nog
een kleine opdonder maar zijn performance maakte wel veel indruk. Ik heb nooit de kans gekregen om zijn eerste
films zoals A Streetcar Named Desire en On the Waterfront te zien maar
zijn latere films The Godfather, Apocalypse Now en natuurlijk Superman
staan wel in mijn lijstje van all-time-favorites. Mr. Brando was een legende, we zullen hem missen.

Antonio Banderas gaat het boek El Camino De Los Ingleses verfilmen. Source: Production Weekly
Regisseur John McTiernan zal geen Rambo 4 maken maar waarschijnlijk wel Die Hard 4 volgens Moviehole. McTiernan heeft ook Die Hard en Die Hard with a Vengeance geregisseerd.
Antoine Fuqua (King Arthur) gaat waarschijnlijk The Untouchables: Mother's Day regisseren. De film wordt een prequel van DePalma's The Untouchables. Het verhaal zal zich richten op de beginfase van Capone's imperium. Source: Variety

Willem Dafoe talks xXx2:
Willem Dafoe (Spider-man) vertelde iets meer over zijn rol in xXx: State of the Union, inderdaad het vervolg maar dan wel sans Diesel.
Lee Tamahori regisseert de actiefilm, de cast bestaat uit Ice Cube, Scott Speedman en Samuel L. Jackson. Willem Dafoe speelt
een generaal/staatssecretaris. Hij vertelde het volgende over de actie en zijn eigen stunts!:
"I'll be doing some action stuff, kicking and punching. I think I know how to do that. I like doing [stunts], unless it's a skill that I can't learn quickly, like car stuff. I've got no pride in that. That doesn't matter. But when I see a stunt guy do anything that I should do, it's like someone doing the scene for you, because the physical stuff so roots everything else that it freaks me out. If I see, for instance, in post [production] that they didn't bring me back [for a simple shot], so they hire a some guy dressed in my costume walking away, I'll say, 'That is not my walk. That is not my ass.' It's all part of it. So I think it's important to do that."
Cool, I love this guy!
