Rob Zombie talks Halloween:
Vaste lezers weten dat ik niet echt uitkijk naar de remakes die op dit moment worden voorbereid, maar Rob Zombie's
Halloween film maakt mij wel nieuwsgierig. De regisseur geeft een update, check it out:
"I am basically making a prequel and a semi-remake of the first film all in one. So really in theory there will be more original content than remake content. That's why I don't like the word 'remake'. I think this aspect of the story is very important in order to bring new life to the character of Michael Myers. The film begins in 1978.
I wouldn't even go near this project if I didn't feel like I had a fresh, worthwhile approach to the material. Besides, I'm not touching one single frame of Carpenter's classic. That film will remain as it always has."

Newsflash:
 Brittany Murphy verzorgt de stem van Tinker Bell in de gelijknamige nieuwe animatiefilm van Disney. "I've had the good fortune of playing many interesting characters, but none as magical as Tinker Bell," vertelde Murphy. "To give Tinker Bell a voice for the first time in history is such an honor."
Owen Wilson is gecast voor de hoofdrol in de komedie Drillbit Taylor. Het verhaal gaat over twee high school freshmen die doelwit zijn van de bully van de school. De jongens betalen een vage gast, gespeeld door Owen Wilson, om hun te beschermen. De film is gebaseerd op een pitch van John Hughes, Chris Brown en Seth Rogen hebben het script geschreven. U.S. Box Office June 17-19:
Cars wist voor een tweede week de eerste plaats van de Amerikaanse Top Tien te bemachtigen. Jack Black's komedie Nacho Libre
kwam met 27 miljoen dollars binnen op de tweede plaats. The battle continues, deze week gaat Adam Sandler's komedie Click en
Tyrese Gibson's actiefilm Waist Deep in première. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Talladega Nights trailer!:
Ik ben een grote fan van Will Ferrell en binnenkort verschijnt zijn nieuwe NASCAR racing comedy Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
De rest van de cast bestaat uit John C. Reilly, Gary Cole, Michael Clarke Duncan, Leslie Bibb en Jane Lynch.

Newsflash:
Josh Hartnett, die te zien was in 40 Days and 40 Nights, gaat de hoofdrol spelen in 30 Days of Night. Klinkt misschien als een prequel van 40 Days and 40 Nights maar dat is het niet. De film, dat geregisseerd wordt door David Slade, gaat over een klein plaatsje in Alaska waar 30 dagen lang de zon niet meer opkomt.
