T3 pics and Arnie Interview:
Moviegod posted some amazing T3 pics. I've posted one of them below, you can check out the rest by clicking here. I'm beginning to get more excited and really hope director Jonathan Mostow (Breakdown, U-571) can pull it off and make a better movie than T2...
Sci Fi Wire had a nice chat with the man himself, here's what Mr. Schwarzenegger had to say about a stunt involving a construcion crane: "I think everyone will agree when they see it, that it is the most intense chase scene that you've ever seen in any movie. I am stuck on the hook of a crane. The crane is being driven by TX, ... What I go through, the kind of things that were planned stuntwise: ... hanging on the hook, going through buildings and going through cars."
Schwarzenegger said that the scene is shot in part from his character's point of view and that the sequence "took us a long time to shoot, because there were just so many wonderful ideas that were written in the script. The entire sequence is most spectacular, ... but, again, also very very tiring and very dangerous."

Open Range and Bad Boys II Poster:
Latino Review posted the new poster for Open Range. The western is directed by Kevin Costner and seems to be his big move to get back on the A-list again. "The film follows Four men (Kevin Costner, Robert Duvall, Diego Luna, and Abraham Benrubi) living in the Wild West band together to rid their town of a rancher who's created an outlaw principality using brute force and scare tactics."
The site also posted the final Bad Boys II poster which opens nation wide July 18! Click on the pics for larger versions.

Naked Hulk:
Superhero Hype posted an interesting interview with special effect guru Dennis Muren who worked on The Hulk. Muren talked about The Hulk and showing his enormous, well, you know, muscle: "Originally, we thought we could do a nude Hulk with careful lighting, I guess there were some concerns over ratings, so we decided to put tattered clothes on him." Muren admits that "there were some interesting conversations about how the Hulk would look nude." He adds, "It even became complicated when we decided to put purple shorts on him. The question became 'How tight can the shorts be?."
Producer Larry Franklin adds:"If we had a nude Hulk, we were worried that kids would try to stop the DVD and look. If we put nothing there, they would be like, 'There's nothing there.' If we put genitalia there, it opens whole other discussions. I guarantee you that at ILM (the special effects studio), there must be some mockups of the Hulk with all sorts of different body parts." He says, "In one scene, Hulk's clothes get ripped and you do see a piece of his a--.
Hehehe, that's great, hopefully the material will be available on the DVD.

Live Action version of Neon Genesis Evangelion:
I've been to one of the greatest festivals in Holland yesterday with ass-kicking performances by Queens of the Stone Age, Evanescence and Audio Slave. I've got a really bad sun burn, can't keep my eyes open but gotta update my site for the loyal readers!
AICN got some impressive production art for the live action version of Neon Genesis Evangelion. WETA, the SPFX wizards that brought Gollum to life, are behind this Manga based movie. Click right here to read the article and to enjoy the amazing WETA artwork.

Willis Talks Die Hard 4:
USA today talked with Bruce Willis who mentioned some Die Hard 4 stuff: "I always said the genre had kind of run out of gas and had to reinvent itself. I think that's the goal Fox has also. Maybe too much time has gone by since the last one. We'll see. If the first Die Hard were an analog version of an action movie, the kind of action movies that are being made right now are all digital. So, Die Hard 4 would have to be brought up to the modern age."
Well, just get Zeus back on board, McTiernan to direct and you've got my blessing, "Yippy kayee, mother.."

Matrix Revolutions update!:
Matrix Producer Joel Silver revealed what we can expect of Matrix Revolutions:"Reloaded and Revolutions could be one film. But I htink they work best as two sittings. It's quite a lot to absorb. Revolutions is all-out war between the humans and the machines and will, by all accounts, blow your f*****g minds. We have a 14 minute, $40 million battle sequence that is the most complicated sequence ever put on film."
Man, that got me all hyped up, now let's see what John Gaeta, stunt director has to say:
"Reloaded, no problem; even though it was incredibly difficult, there was a lot of buffer time built in. Revolutions, on the other hand is aggressive because it's quite grand. Revolutions is much more epic. More creature based and much more about machines and bio-mechanical places. It's an awesome catagory to work in as a lot of us are big fans of Alien. It's a completely different train to anything we've done before.
"More epic,.. we are big fans of Alien?," Man, I'm going insane, I can't wait! There's more? Dan Cracchiolo, Production executive:
"You know Revolutions is the real thing, right? Revolutions is the pay off. Reloaded is just a tease...."
Help me please, Keanu, do you want to add something?:
"The first is about birth. The second about life. The third about death. I don't know though. Maybe it should be called The Matrix Resurrection."
Source: Z Review

Wow, great stuff, I'm confident that Revolutions will win the hearts of everybody who hated Reloaded. I also found this fantastic teaser poster for Revolutions, it's a bit blurry but the vertical text shows "Everything That Has A Beginning Has An End." The release date is on the bottom "11-05." Click on the pic for a larger version.

Thomas Jane training for The Punisher:
USA Today posted some nice Punisher stuff. Thomas Jane seems to be training with Navy SEALS to prep for the role of the avenger. Here's what a stuntman had to say: "The stuff on the wires and all that crazy dancing that was done so well in Crouching Tiger is beautiful, but it's not very real world. We're kind of going back to old-fashioned days _ serious hand-to-hand combat without all the trickery and dancing." It's scarier, he says. "Stylized violence is a way of stepping away from violence and making it palatable. With our movie, we inject a sense of here's what happens when it really goes down." Jane will spend months training.
How much will he do himself? "I've done a few action films now, and it's very popular to try to do all the stunts yourself _ until the insurance company steps in and says no. No film is going to ever go beyond that."
I like the idea of keeping the action as realistic as possible, without the wire-fu but I still hate the first Punisher Pic that was online a couple of weeks ago.

Lucy Liu Talks Kill Bill!:
Lucy Liu, star of the upcoming Charlie's Angels sequel talked a bit about Tarantino's Kill Bill: "It's so violent. People will leave the movie theatre or get sick in the movie theatre. But there's so much violence that it becomes not numbing, but almost comedic. There's a scene where there's so much violence that the color of the film goes into black and white, so that the blood looks like oil. It's cinematic, it's art. You can take it to a different level, and show what violence is, in such a heightened manner that you don't think of it as violence anymore, you think of it as a language. If you go to Kill Bill, you know there's going to be violence - that's your option."
"It's art", you damn right it is! I can't wait to see this movie!
