Newsflash:
Hi guys, de komende dagen ben ik een beetje druk dus de volgende update vindt pas in het weekend plaats. Hieronder
een overzicht van de laatste headlines, enjoy:
 Nicolas Cage speelt de hoofdrol in de remake van de Thaise film Bangkok Dangerous. De originele directors Oxide Pang Chun en Danny Pang gaan de remake regisseren. De film vertelt het verhaal van een huurmoordenaar die naar Bangkok vetrekt om een gevaarlijke opdracht uit te voeren. Source: Variety
Russell Crowe is out, Hugh Jackman is in! Wolverine is te zien naast Nicole Kidman in Baz Luhrmann's Australisch epos. Het project heeft nog geen titel maar volgens Luhrmann wordt het zijn Gone with the Wind film.
Jessica Alba is te zien naast Aaron Eckhart en Elizabeth Banks in de komedie Bill. Source: Variety
Teri Hatcher is gecast voor Resurrecting the Champ. Josh Hartnett en Samuel L. Jackson spelen ook in de film over een voormalig bokskampioen. Source: Variety

U.S. Box Office June 02-04:
Onze mutanten werden verslagen door de romantic powers van Vince Vaughn en Jennifer Aniston. De romantische komedie The Break-Up kwam met 38 miljoen dollars op de eerste plaats binnen,
X-Men: The Last Stand viel terug naar de tweede positie maar is still going strong met 34 miljoen. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Michael Myers returns!:
Rob Zombie (The Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses) gaat de nieuwe Halloween film schrijven, produceren en
regisseren! Zombie's versie is geen vervolg maar wordt een nieuwe introductie van serial killer Michael Myers.
"I have been a huge, huge fan of John Carpenter's original film since its release," vertelde Zombie, "So when Bob Weinstein approached me about this, I jumped at the chance to join forces with Dimension Films on this amazing project."

Remember Richard Donner's classic 1976 horror flick The Omen? Well, tijd voor een remake en deze
keer vertelt regisseur John Moore het verhaal van de jonge Antichrist. Klik op de pic voor mijn review, dat overigens iets korter dan gebruikelijk is,

Nicolas Cage talks Next!:
Nicolas Cage begint binnenkort met het filmen van de sci-fi flick Next dat gebaseerd is op een verhaal van Philip K. Dick.
De film wordt regisseerd door Lee Tamahori (Once Were Warriors) en vertelt het verhaal van een man die in de toekomst kan kijken. Nic vertelt het volgende over zijn input en de rol:
"I'm not the sort of fellow who really wants to broadcast my own contributions, but as I said, when I reread the script, there were a lot of changes made, and it occurred to me that I needed to do something to revitalize the character. And ... I'd been thinking a lot about the notion that there are people who may or may not have powers, and what would you do if you were born with powers that could be possibly very terrifying and uncomfortable for others around you? For example, seeing into your future. So it occurred to me, how could I play that part, and what could I do with that part that would seem real and also protect the character from being labeled a freak? So I thought, 'Well, he could hide in plain sight. He could be a magician in Vegas.' And these people, sometimes you see them, and you go, 'How do they do that?' So my thing was, have him use the magic act as a disguise for the reality, which is that he really does have powers. So that was the main thrust of the change that I made. And I'm very excited about it, and I think it's working really well. And I'm blessed to work with Julianne Moore and Jessica Biel, who are both doing a great job."
