Newsflash:
Hi guys, nog even snel een newsflash, de volgende update is dit weekend!
 Sean Bean (Fellowship of the Ring) vertolkt de rol die Rutger Hauer speelde in The Hitcher. Zoals ik eerder heb vermeld, kijk ik niet uit naar een remake maar Sean Bean als de gevaarlijke lifter is een interessante casting choice. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Underworld's Len Wiseman is benaderd om Die Hard 4 te regisseren! Bruce Willis is weer terug om de rol van John McClane te spelen. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Russell Crowe heeft Baz Luhrmann's Australisch epos verlaten. Nicole Kidman blijft nog even hangen, zij zal de vrouwelijke hoofdrol vertolken. Het is niet bekend wie Crowe gaat vervangen. Source: Variety
Geweldige setpics van Evan Almighty, het vervolg op Bruce Almighty, zijn online verschenen. Steve Carrell speelt de rol van een man die een ark moet bouwen. Op de foto is te zien dat het om een echte ark gaat, zonder CGI effecten! Klik hier!

Superman Returns update!:
Hi guys, ik heb vandaag een paar interessante Superman Returns tidbits. De film draait vanaf 28 juni in de Amerikaanse bioscopen, en dat is twee dagen eerder dan aangekondigd werd. Wij moeten helaas nog een paar weken wachten, want
Superman Returns gaat in augustus bij ons in première. De tweede overweldigende Amerikaanse trailer met veel nieuwe beelden is nu online, klik hier om te downloaden.

Forest Whitaker vergezelt Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox en William Hurt in Vantage Point. Pete Travis regisseert de film over de moord op de president dat vanuit vijf verschillende points of view wordt verteld. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Uma Thurman speelt de hoofdrol in The Accidental Husband. Griffin Dunne verzorgt de regie van de romantische komedie over een vrouw die pas is verloofd maar daarnaast ook met een andere man is getrouwd. Source: Variety

U.S. Box Office May 26-29:
X-Men: The Last Stand is de grote winnaar van het Memorial Day Box Office Weekend. De derde film van de X-Men franchise
heeft de code van Da Vinci ontcijferd en kwam met 120 miljoen dollars op de eerste plaats binnen! Well done, Brett Ratner!
The Da Vinci Code viel dus terug naar de tweede positie maar wist toch nog 43 miljoen dollars binnen te halen. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Spider-man 3 set pics!!!:
De eerste cijfers zijn binnengekomen, de kans is zeer groot dat X-Men: The Last Stand de code van Da Vinci zal breken! De top tien van de Memorial Day Box Office weekend wordt later bekend gemaakt, so stay stuned, guys.
Ander superhelden nieuws, mooie pics zijn online van Tobey Maguire als de muurkruiper op de New York set van Spider-man 3! Peter Parker is going to the dark side, klik voor meer!

Cannes Winners!:
Ken Loach's drama The Wind That Shakes the Barley heeft de Palme d'Or gewonnen!
Penelope Cruz, Carmen Maura, Yohana Cobo en Lola Duenas die de hoofdrollen vertolken in Pedro Almodovar's Volver, hebben allen de Best Actress prijs gewonnen.
De gehele cast van Rachid Bouchareb's WWII film Days of Glory, bestaande uit Jamel Debbouze, Samy Naceri en Sami Bouajila wonnen de award voor Best Actor.

Michael Bay talks Transformers!!!:
Uber-director Michael Bay (The Island, Bad Boys 2) is eindelijk begonnen met het filmen van Transformers! So, fans, this flick is really going to happen!
De regisseur heeft een interessant verslag geplaatst op zijn website, here's a clip:
We finished our first week. One of the best first weeks on a movie I've ever experienced. We shot over 250 set ups.
I'm working on the military aspects of the film right now in New Mexico at Hollaman Air Force base and the Army's White Sands missile base. The military has been stellar with us. This is the largest military cooperation since Pearl Harbor and Black Hawk Down.
Friday we shot two CV-22's (Ospreys). They fly like aliens dropping out of the sky. We also shot stealth fighters and low attack missile runs (50 feet off the deck) A10 Warthogs. They look so deadly and mean.
We also shot in an army tank grave yard, that has more tanks in it then all of Iraq. The military cast Josh and Tyrese are surrounded with top notch Seal Team members.
I almost dropped from heat stroke on Wednesday in the 118 degree heat. Several crew went down in the heat on these dunes. It is amazing how quickly it can come on - I now see how some of those football players drop dead from heat stroke.

Cate Blanchett is Bob Dylan?:
Cate Blanchett, die eerder te zien was als Queen Elizabeth en Katharine Hepburn, gaat nu de rol van Bob Dylan vertolken in de biopic I'm Not There! De actrice speelt samen met zes andere acteurs de rol van de legendarische zanger. De rest van de cast bestaat uit Heath Ledger, Michelle Williams, Christian Bale, Julianne Moore en Richard Gere.
Todd Haynes, die de fantastische Far from Heaven regisseerde, brengt het verhaal van Bob Dylan op het grote scherm.

Julia Stiles talks Jason Bourne!:
Julia Stiles sprak over de nieuwe spionage thriller The Bourne Ultimatum! De derde film is gebaseerd op de
spannende boeken van Robert Ludlum, waarin Matt Damon te zien is als Jason Bourne. Julia vertelde het volgende over de film:
"Paul Greengrass is going to direct it. Matt Damon and Joan Allen are going to be back too, and it's going through so many incarnations of scripts. I think I was lucky to not die in the last one, but I just don't know if I'm going to be good or bad.
I really liked that you didn't know what I was doing in the first one and then luckily for me, they decided to explore my character a little bit more in the second one, and now hopefully, more in the third one. You feel like it's a trilogy that is complete. It's not just one movie and then another, and then another.
It's also a work in progress, too. That's part of the reason why I can't explain what exactly my role is going to be in this one, because what's great about Paul Greengrass is he's really good at updating those stories so it's not going to be anything like what the book was."
