Walter Hill (Last Man Standing) gaat de cop thriller Little Sister regisseren. Hij heeft het script samen mijn zijn production partner David Giler geschreven. Newsflash:
De eerste teaser trailer van Oliver Stone's epos Alexander is nu online. Colin Farrell, Anthony Hopkins, Val Kilmer en Angelina Jolie spelen mee in de film over de roekeloze veroveraar.
Harrison Ford gaat de hoofdrol spelen in Godspeed. James Cameron produceert de scifi thriller dat zich afspeelt op een internationaal ruimtestation. Source: Variety
De internationale poster van Catwoman is nu online. Ik haat nog steeds het kostuum maar de kleur van de poster is wel mooi. Klik op Halle Berry voor een grote versie.

Superman update!!!:
Dark Horizons heeft een interessante Superman update geplaatst.
Het lijkt erop dat de vertraagde film eindelijk in een stroomversnelling komt:
"I was mistaken, Johnny Depp is not up for Lex Luthor, but rather for Jor-El. He was up for Luthor but requested to try out for The Man of Steel's father instead, and as I said earlier, schedules are being sorted. New script draft is more action focused while the main storyline features promptly on Clark/Superman/Lois romance. A good portion of the screenplay is action, think of "Tomb Raider". No story, all action. The origins are displayed, but downplayed, and this is indeed set as a more trendier and more fashionable update rather than a classic return to the comics roots one (ala "Batman Begins"). Expect official announcements this Summer. Brendan Fraser is still involved, but not as Supes, rather Ty-Zor."
Meanwhile Superman V has some news on a new crewman joining the project, a producer who also happens to be one of the handful I've met whose a real down-to-earth nice guy with a real love of genre material: "We can exclusively reveal that Gilbert Adler has joined the project as Executive Producer. Adler's credits include "Starsky & Hutch", "Tales from the Crypt", "Thir13en Ghosts", "Ghost Ship", and "The Fountain". He's also working on the Warner Brothers upcoming film based on the Hellblazer comics; "Constantine". We think this is one of the reasons why Stan Winston and ESC Entertainment have been brought on board. Both Winston and ESC worked with Adler on Constantine". They also hear that the new Superman costume is a sculptured rubber muscle suit and is of Kryptonian origin.
JJ Abrams spoke with Dreamwatch magazine recently and confirmed things seem to be perking up: "The movie is closer to getting made now than it's ever been. I'm crossing my fingers the movie gets made because there are a lot of really wonderful elements attached to it. I'm hoping the movie see the light of day. I believe it will". His vote for Lex? Why Jack Bristow of course - Victor Garber from "Alias".

New Bruce Lee movie?!:
Hong Kong regisseur Wong Kar-wai (Chungking Express, 2046) is van plan om een Bruce Lee biografie te filmen.
De titelloze film wordt omschreven als een kung fu flick dat zich zal richten op de relatie tussen Lee en zijn
kung fu instructeur in de jaren 50. Tony Leung zal waarschijnlijk de rol van Master Yip Man op zich nemen, de Wing Chun
kampioen die zich ontfermde over Bruce Lee. Bruce keerde uiteindelijk de traditionele training de rug toe om zijn
Jeet Kune Do style te ontwikkelen.

USA Today heeft
een officiële foto ontvangen van het vervolg op Meet the Parents; Meet the Fockers met in de
hoofdrollen Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Robert de Niro, Dustin Hoffman en Barbra Streisand!
Hoffman en Streisand spelen de nogal buitensporige ouders van Ben Stillers karakter. Regisseur Jay Roach vertelde het volgende:
"Dustin and Barbra should have been a comedy team, they have great comic timing. They could have done vaudeville or I Love Lucy or even Tracy-Hepburn stuff. It was a little bit of controlled chaos but in the most delicious way."

David Goyer talks Batman Begins:
Schrijver-producer David Goyer sprak over de nieuwe Batman Begins film. Goyer schreef het script,
Christopher "Memento" Nolan regisseert. David Goyer vertelt het volgende:
"My whole life, all I wanted to do was write a Batman movie, says Goyer. It was excruciating for me because here I was being offered to work with an amazing director, but time-wise there was no way I could do it. But his agent called back and said, You have to do it. By negotiating to only do a first draft, with Nolan rewriting and revising from there, Goyer got his dream and the result is a Batman movie the writer thinks fans are going to eat up. Its the most faithful to the comic books and it certainly darker than the Schumacher films, admits Goyer It treats the story seriously and its also quite romantic. We were determined to create a new classic and we treated the subject matter seriously.
We weren't sure what villains we wanted to use, but we knew it should be villains that hadn't been used in the films, says Goyer. At the same time we didn't want to make any up. If you look at the rogues gallery, the ones that hadn't been used were Scarecrow and Ras Al Ghul. It seemed like the perfect opportunity to bring those characters in. We knew we were going to do an original story, but if we do this right, we can then reintroduce the rogues gallery the audience has met before in the movies, but in a new way".
