He's planning to begin shooting later this year in Sidney. I've always been fascinated by this creature when I read the comics well, a long time ago, so I wonder how Brett will bring Man-Thing to life. Night Shyamalan's "The Woods". The role was previously offered to Kirsten Dunst but she's plannig to work on "Elizabethtown" with director Cameron Crowe. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
28/05/03 Jet Li's next movie: Jet Li will star in Disney's Labour Day. The action movie will be directed by Robert Schwentke (yeah, I know, never heard of him):"In the story, an ambitious assistant DA gets the career-making job of prosecuting the son of an elusive crime lord. When the DA's pregnant wife is taken hostage by the crime lord, the prosecutor asks for help from his wife's ex-boyfriend, a Chinese gangster (Li). This is risky not only because the DA's new ally is on the wrong side of the law, but also because the gangster still loves the wife and thinks that saving her life might help win her back." Source: Variety 28/05/03 Eric Bana on becoming The Hulk: Empire Online had a great chat with Eric Bana, star of the Hulk. He mentioned how he and Ang Lee prepared for the role by visiting cage fights!:"I really didn't want to do it. It was just short of finding an illegal bare-knuckle fight somewhere. We had front-row seats , which was kinda grotesque but interesting. I was feet away from watching a guy semi-conscious with his head on the canvas, while a guy with bare knuckles was pounding into the side of his head." A touch excessive? Perhaps, but godlike genius Lee seems to have thought it necessary and Bana isn't questioning him. "I think it was about pure, unadulterated rage. About being exposed to something very, very primal. There were some specifics that I wouldn't like to mention that Ang wanted me to pay attention to. Interesting, then, but not something I'm in any real hurry to see again." Poor Eric, click here to read the rest of the great interview. 28/05/03 Billy Bob talks The Alamo: Billy Bob Thorton talked about The Alamo recently and was impressed by the set:"I was pretty astounded when I first saw the set," says Billy Bob. "Particularly the Alamo itself. It kind of gives you a chill. And when I saw the Mexican army up on the hill there and there I was in my full rig -- with my flintlock rifle -- it got kind of spooky." This Davy Crockett movie will be released coming December 2003, hit the link to read the rest of the interesting interview. Source: ET online 28/05/03 New Elf poster: Jo Blo posted the new Elf poster starring Old School's "Frank The Tank" Will Ferrell. The comedian plays a character that was raised by elves after accidentally being picked up by Santa's sleigh and brought back to the North Pole. Only problem is, that baby grows up to be a freakishly large for the elf village and wreaks havoc. So he sets off for New York in search of his real father, to be played by James Caan. He goes from Greece to Turkey to Egypt to Jordan to the Hindu Kush to India, then all the way back again. And all the way, you're dealing with drama and spectacle. At one stage there were half a million people in one battle." Well, sounds great, click here to read the rest of the interview.
