John Moore talks The Omen:
Flight of the Phoenix director John Moore talked about his remake of The Omen. Richard Donner directed the original movie about the Antichrist, which was released in 1976. Looks like Moore's version won't be that different than the original.
"I didn't feel a great need to rush out and fix what wasn't broken," the director said, "The story of the movie is extraordinarily good and extraordinarily tight. Especially by today's script standards, it's a damn good script. So I didn't feel the need to completely rework it.
It's a different cast; it's a different movie; it's a different experience. The story is the same. I don't mean this in a flattering way to myself; I mean it in a flattering way to the text. It's a bit like a Shakespeare play. You very much want people to enjoy the experience of the play, but the text is so good, and the story tracks so well, that you feel inclined to stick with that. I asked Richard Donner to see the movie, which he did recently. He's happy with it."
To be honest, just like The Hitcher remake, I really don't understand... On the other hand, the trailer of The Omen looks pretty nice so we'll just have to wait and see. Next update is this weekend, guys!

Jon Favreau talks Iron Man:
Actor-director Jon Favreau talked about the production of the upcoming Iron Man, which he will helm.
"It's the first movie Marvel is self-financing. We're set to come out in the summer of '08, and we'll start shooting in January. I remember watching the Iron Man cartoons when I was younger. It was later when Marvel Studios CEO Avi Arad approached me to work on this and we discussed the history of the character and then I did a lot more research, and really learned everything that has happened in the last 40 years.
We're gonna have it take place in the present day, but there will be an origin story that has the old, gray Iron Man suit; eventually it will progress into more of the modern look."
No actors are attached yet, but Favreau is looking for an unknown actor for the leading role. I'll keep you posted!
