Pathfinder trailer!:
Ik heb een coole trailer om de week goed af te sluiten! Ik ben dit weekend weer terug met de volgende update, veel plezier met Koninginnedag, guys!
De eerste trailer van de viking flick Pathfinder is verschenen. De cast bestaat uit Karl Urban, Russell Means en Clancy Brown. Here's the official synopsis:
"A thousand years in the past, a young Viking boy is accidentally left behind during a skirmish between the Vikings and Native Americans. The Native Americans raise the boy as their own, but when their village is wiped out from a Viking raid, the adopted Viking becomes his people's savior in battling the Norsemen."

Newsflash:
 I Am Legend gaat nu dan eindelijk gemaakt worden en Will Smith zal daarin de hoofdrol vertolken. Francis Lawrence (Constantine) verzorgt de regie van de film dat het verhaal vertelt van 1 man die het opneemt tegen miljoenen gevaarlijke mutanten.
Ben Stiller werkt binnenkort weer samen met Bobby en Peter Farrelly, de makers van There's Something About Mary. Stiller speelt in Seven Day Itch een man die verliefd wordt op een andere vrouw tijdens zijn huwelijksreis.
Ben Kingsley, Téa Leoni en Luke Wilson zijn gecast voor John Dahl's mob comedy You Kill Me. Dennis Farina, Philip Baker Hall en Bill Pullman doen ook mee.

Scarface joins Ocean!:
Very cool news, guys, Al Pacino vergezelt George Clooney, Brad pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac... en Ellen Barkin in Ocean's 13!
Steven Soderbergh is ook terug om de boel te regisseren. Pacino gaat de rol spelen van Willie Banks, eigenaar van een high-profile casino en hotel in Las Vegas. Veel filmfans vonden Ocean's 12 minder goed dan het eerste deel, ik vond
beide films geweldig dus ik kijk uit naar een nieuw avontuur van Danny Ocean.

MTV Movie Awards 2006!:
Yes! The MTV Movie Awards 2006 verschijnt in juni weer op de beeldbuis! The 40-Year Old Virgin en Wedding Crashers hebben vijf nominaties gekregen.
Oscar winnaar Crash is de grote verliezer want de film staat niet op de nominatielijst, how about that! Hieronder mijn favoriete categorieën:

U.S. Box Office Apr 21-23:
Horror flick Silent Hill heeft veel indruk gemaakt op het Amerikaanse volk! De film opende ijzersterk op de
eerste plaats met 20 million bucks! Scary Movie 4 viel terug naar de tweede positie maar doet het nog steeds goed
met 17 miljoen dollars. De Michael Douglas actie-thriller The Sentinel, deed het iets minder dan verwacht. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Michael Bay talks Transformers!:
AICN had een goed gesprek met regisseur Michael Bay die druk is met de voorbereidingen van de live-action Transformers film!
De regisseur sprak over het verhaal en presenteerde production art en animatics. Hieronder een paar clips van de report:
"He flipped through the stack as he was telling me that he has the full support of the US Armed Forces for this film and has met with them repeatedly to discuss how they are portrayed in the movie. With a smile, Bay said that if the world ever had a giant robot problem how we see the Armed Forces deal with them in TRANSFORMERS is how we'd see them deal with them in real life.
The biggest difference from the cartoon and toys is that the Autobots and Decepticons aren't going to be as blocky. Bay said that when they started breaking down how these robots transform from vehicles to robots the blocky end result didn't make any sense and looked pretty silly. So, you see the working parts of the vehicles much more on the robots, you see sharper angles, but they all stem from them transforming.
We talked a bit about the beginning of the movie. It starts in the Antarctica with a man chipping away at a giant ice wall. Something happens, his dogs run away and ice wall opens, the man falling into an icy cave, sliding down into the earth. When he stops, the camera pulls back and shows him resting in a giant robotic hand, half in and half out of the ice. I saw this piece in production art and it was very atmospheric with giant shapes in the surrounding ice walls and the tiny man resting in the palm of a robot."

Damien is terug in een remake van The Omen! De thriller is geregisseerd door John Moore en de cast bestaat uit Julia Stiles, Liev Schreiber, David Thewlis en Mia Farrow. Klik hier om de trailer te downloaden en let goed op, want King Kong heeft een bijrolletje!
Goed nieuws voor de Star Trek fans, J.J. Abrams (Lost, M:I:III) gaat een nieuwe Star Trek flick regisseren. Het script wordt geschreven door Abrams, Alex Kurtzman en Roberto Orci en zal gaan over de early days van James T. Kirk en Mr. Spock.
Brendan Fraser vertolkt de hoofdrol in een update van Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth. Fraser speelt in Journey 3-D een geoloog die een verborgen nieuwe wereld ontdekt. VFX specialist Eric Brevig maakt met de film zijn regiedebuut.
