Riddick Anime!:

De manga tekenfilm is gecreëerd door Peter Chung die ook verantwoordelijk is voor Animatrix. De film zal de tijd overbruggen tussen

Rutger Hauer talks Batman:
Onze eigen Rutger Hauer schreef over Batman Begins op zijn officiële site.
Hij liet weten hoe het was om Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson en Michael Caine te ontmoeten:
"I was going to work today with Morgan Freeman who I think is one of the best colleagues to have, ever. Never met him. So the moment he arrived I grabbed and hugged him telling him what a pleasure I thought it was. He agreed. I had met Liam Neeson earlier on the day I had arrived a few weeks ago just before going into my first meeting with the director and getting the part. As I walked through the hotel corridor I literally bumped into him as he came out the door .I said, 'Hi Liam. Nice to meet you'. He said' yes, same here'. And I said we may be working together. He said. Great. Nice. Lovely.
Michael Caine knocked on the door of my trailer and stepped in. We embraced furiously and he was just as happy to see me as I was to see him. We worked in Kenya in pffft '75. What a nice man he is. Told him I was happy for him in the gem of a role he's playing. So it was a great heart warming day."

Sky Captain delayed...:
Paramount heeft bekend gemaakt dat Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow meer tijd nodig heeft
om de special effects te kunnen afronden. De film is van juni naar september verschoven.
Op deze manier zal de film ook geen concurrentie krijgen van die gevaarlijke webkruiper Spider-man.

Sin City update:
Dark Horizons heeft meer nieuws over
Robert Rodriguez' Sin City:
"Rodriguez plans on shooting Bruce Willis' sequences in black-and-white in order to pay tribute to Miller's B&W Sin City art, which is itself a homage to the dramatic visuals of the great Hollywood film noir movies of the 1940s and 50s (Criss Cross, The Asphalt Jungle, The Killing, Touch of Evil). Rodriguez does plan to shoot some sequences in color, but his choice to film even part of Sin City in black-and-white is courageous to say the least, and testifies to the control he must have over this highly intriguing project."

DVD Answers
heeft alle details van de Star Wars Trilogy DVD box dat in september in de winkels verschijnt.
De site vermeldt dat de films te zien zijn in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen met een Dolby Digital 5.1 EX track,

Newsflash:
Carrie-Anne "Trinity" Moss zal de vrouwelijke hoofdrol verzorgen in Mission: Impossible 3! De cast bestaat verder uit Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames en Joe Carnahan (Narc) gaat de regie doen. Source The Hollywood Reporter.
Craig Moss en Steve Schoenburg gaan een remake schrijven van Porky's, de screwball komedie uit '82. Howard Stern zal de film produceren. Source The Hollywood Reporter.

Newsflash:
Een paar kleine maar uiterst interessante headlines in de Newsflash:
Sissy Spacek is toegevoegd aan de cast van de horrorfilm The Ring 2 volgens The Hollywood Reporter. De rest van de cast bestaat uit Naomi Watts and David Dorfman.
The Rock maakte bekend dat Hong Kong director John Woo (Paycheck) misschien Spy-hunter gaat regisseren. De film is gebasseerd op een video game. Ik zie John Woo liever een vervolg maken op zijn meesterwerk The Killer! Source: Latino Review.
Martial Artist Mark Dacascos maakte bekend op de official site dat Crying Freeman alsnog in de Amerikaanse bioscopen zal verschijnen dit jaar. De film is gebaseerd op een Manga tekenfilm en kwam in 1995 direct uit op video. De site vermeldde verder dat de productie van The Adventurer is stopgezet en de film voor onbepaalde tijd op de plank komt te liggen. Dacascos zal nu beginnen aan Rahan met Franse regisseur Christophe Gans. Dacascos en Gans hebben samen Crying Freeman, The Adventurer en de geweldige Brotherhood of the Wolf gemaakt.

Paul W.S. Anderson talks AVP:
Spawn.com heeft foto's geplaatst van hun
nieuwe Alien vs. Predator actie figuurtjes en regisseur Paul W.S. Anderson sprak over de film:
"I had the idea for this movie nine years ago," claims Anderson. "And being able to make a movie that I have thought about for that long is really a dream come true. At the same time, trying to follow in the footsteps of some of the best filmmakers in the world is incredibly intimidating and kept me awake on many nights. I consider Scott's and Cameron's movies to be masterpieces.
There are a number of innovations in AvP. The Alien Queen, for example, is the most sophisticated animatronic ever put on screen. It's got double the points of articulation of T-Rex that was built for Jurassic Park. So, in terms of what it can do, how it can perform, it's a massive leap forward from what James Cameron was doing with two stuntmen in the Alien Queen suit operating the arms. That was a puppeteered marionette and this is really state of the art. It's as good as you can get."
Can't wait to see this movie!

Kill Bill versloeg superheld The Punisher afgelopen weekend en kwam met $25 miljoen op de
eerste plaats binnen. Het tweede deel van Tarantino's revenge film opende net iets sterker dan de voorganger en terecht want
het is een meesterwerk! The Punisher moest het dus met een tweede plaats doen maar heeft het ook niet slecht

Ocean's 12 in Amsterdam!:
Brad Pitt en Julia Roberts zullen een bezoekje brengen aan Amsterdam om een scène op te nemen voor de film
Ocean's 12! Eén van de beroemde coffeeshops zal gebruikt worden als decor. Wanneer de crew
zal arriveren wordt strikt geheim gehouden. De film is het vervolg op de heist flick Ocean's 11,
de cast en crew, inclusief regisseur Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney, Matt Damon en Andy Garcia, zijn van de partij
om het vervolg te maken. In de eerste instantie zou het team Rembrandts "De Nachtwacht" gaan stelen maar dit was
niet mogelijk omdat men bezig is met de renovatie van Het Rijksmuseu. Nu wordt er een nieuwe verhaallijn geschreven
waarin Ocean's 12 een oud V.O.C aandelen certificaat gaat stelen.

New Posters!:
Twee nieuwe posters en trailers zijn online verschenen. De eerste is van het vervolg op Anaconda; Anacondas: The Hunt For the Blood Orchid.
De film vertelt het verhaal van een groep wetenschappers dat een speciale orchidee zoekt in Borneo. De bloem bevat
een stof dat het leven kan verlengen maar helaas zijn er een aantal gemene slangen die de expeditie tegenwerken.
De tweede poster is van Steven Spielberg's The Terminal met Tom Hanks en Catherine Zeta-Jones in
de hoofdrollen. Hanks speelt een immigrant die belandt op een terminal in een New York City airport en daar niet
meer wegkomt...

Vega Brothers update!:
Michael Madsen sprak met Filmforce over Tarantino's
Vega Brothers project. Tarantino is nog steeds van plan om de film samen met Madsen en John Travolta te maken.
Michael Madsen vertelt het volgende:
"As far as I know, he told me that he wants to make the picture. He was planning to make it for a long time, but as time went by, John Travolta physically changed, and I physically changed, and we don't look the same as we did when were doing Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. So he decided it would be kind of impossible to make the film. But right after saying that, he went off to Mexico for a couple of days, and I'm not sure what he did down there, but when he came back… [Laughs] I was at a hotel in San Diego, and he called me on the phone, and he said, 'I think I figured out how to make The Vega Brothers.' And I said, 'Really?' And he goes, 'Yeah, listen to this.' And he pretty much told me a plot of the film in about 20 minutes. I couldn't repeat it to you because it's really confusing. But it did make sense. I think it's just gonna be a matter of getting the screenplay finished and actually getting up to shoot it because I think we're gonna do this World War II thing first."

Man of Steel update:
Superman V, heeft meer info ontvangen over de costume department
dat momenteel werkt aan de Man of Steel suit:
"Sources within the industry have told us that the costume-department has already made some preliminary costumes. A part of that team performed costume tests, several months ago. Before the production stalled in January, Kym Barrett and recently departed Duncan Henderson, held talks with some (top) pre-production facilities to come on board the project. Nothing has come of this so far, mainly because of the uncertainty surrounding the project. Even people who have worked on the project aren't sure what's going to happen. But they're eager to return IF and when the project starts back up in the next few months. Which still carries the working (and rather ironic) title 'Fly By' and is targetting a 2006 release."
