BREAKING NEWS: First pic of Superman Suit!!!:
Oh yeah, the first pic of Brandon Routh in the classic red, yellow and blue Superman suit hit the web! Director Bryan Singer wanted to remain faithful to the previous incarnations of Superman, from the Max Fleischer cartoons to the black-and-white George Reeves TV show to the Christopher Reeve movies. Singer decided to keep the cape, the blue body suit, the red tights and V-cut opening of the boots. "I always had the general idea of the suit," Singer said, "However, when the conceptual art was evolving around the same time that I cast Brandon, I privately had paintings rendered with Brandon's face, which certainly brought it to life."
So what did he change? Here's a rundown:

The character's S insignia is slightly smaller and higher on his chest, and instead of being painted on, it's more of a three-dimensional plate.
The insignia is added to Superman's belt buckle.
Costume designer Louise Mingenbach preserved the blue, red and yellow motif, but the shades are slightly darker than the bright primary colors of the comics. Superman's yellow belt is more golden, and his cape is a deep scarlet.

I had to get used to the new design for just a few minutes but I really like it now! I'll be back with a big news update tomorrow, guys, have great weekend!

Seann William Scott talks The Dukes:
Seann William Scott talked to Latino Review about the upcoming big screen version of The Dukes of Hazzard. Scott and Johnny Knoxville are Bo and Luke, Jessica Simpson is Daisy, Burt Reynolds is Boss Hogg and Willie Nelson is Uncle Jesse. Here's an interesting clip from the interview:

What was it about this script that wanted you to come do Dukes of Hazzard? Was that because you were a really big fan of the show?
You know, it wasn't even... because I was a really big fan of the show. I mean I was. I just thought it could make a really cool movie. It's not that it's just a buddy comedy but it's all about two guys hating each other and towards the end they're good friends. I liked that these two guys were best friends from the very beginning, and they're crazy. I thought it could make a really cool movie set in the South about this family. And people are really familiar with these characters. And as long as it's not like tongue-in-cheek, I thought if they really went for it…when they'd expressed to me that they wanted it to be in the tone of Smokey and the Bandit and The Blues Brothers and stuff with more kind of a southern rock cool, I though that'd be cool.

How about Burt Reynolds and Willie Nelson?
I think the director Jay Chandrasekhar did and amazing job casting this film obviously with those two guys. Willie's like the nicest guy on the planet. I've only seen him a couple of times but he just exudes kindness, he like he just stands there smiling. I get afraid to just say something to him because he's so nice I don't want to disappoint him. Burt's the same way. But it's really surreal because I've grown up watching his films and he is just a really, really nice guys and has some great stories. Especially playing Boss Hogg, he plays it like... people that love the show are not going to be disappointed at all. They're going to be blown away. I've never been so excited about a film that I've done. I think everything that we've done is spot on and I think it's going to be huge. And with Burt playing Boss Hogg, he's just that villain that you like just because he's cool. You know, he's hip and weird and kind of indirect.

I've watched Smokey and the Bandit, The Blues Brothers and Cannonball Run over and over again when I was a little kid, so looking forward to this film, yeeehaaahh! Read the rest of the interview by clicking on the above link.

J-lo's upcoming projects:
Busy actress/singer Jennifer Lopez gives an update on her upcoming projects. Her next movie will be the drama Bordertown. "It's about the kinds of serial killing that's going on there and I play a reporter," says Lopez. After that, she'll star with Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman in Lasse Hallström's An Unfinished Life. "I play the daughter-in-law to Robert Redford," she adds, "It's another in-law movie in a way, but it's a small movie. It's a drama about forgiveness.
It's hard when you have a lot of things going on to kind of get the clear space that you need sometimes to let inspiration come or creativity happen. It's a difficult task, but I've learned because I do many different things, that there is time for everything. The most important thing for me has always been acting and my music, so that's my first priority."
First, we can see Jennifer Lopez opposite Jane Fonda in Monster-in-Law that will be released in May.

Newsflash:
Matthew McConaughey would like to return for more Sahara movies; "I'd been looking for that renaissance guy. Everything I'd read that was a possible franchise character in the action-adventure genre was either too roadhouse, just fighting and running around, or they were too prim and proper, never getting their hands dirty. Dirk Pitt is a senator's son, but a scavenger of the deep. He can talk marine biology with you at noon and then at one o'clock be dealing gold bullion with smugglers and pirates." The first Sahara movie is currently the #1 flick at the U.S. Box Office. Source: USA Today
Lucy Liu will star in the horror-thriller Rise. Sebastian Gutierrez wrote and will direct the film about a reporter (Liu) who wakes up in a morgue and discovers she's no longer among the living. She seeks revenge and hunts down vampires who are responsible for killing her. Source: Variety

David Benioff talks Wolverine movie:
Screenwriter David Benioff plans to write a hardcore R-rated Wolverine spin-off film. Here's what he said about the tone of the story:
"I'm going to stay away from the 'Four Riders' kind of stories and the science fiction stories where he was battling aliens or demons. I'm sticking with something more realistic. Of course it is kind of hard to talk realism when you're speaking about a guy who has adamantium claws popping out of this hands. But my concept of him for this movie is the one I grew up with: He's a gritty character, a tough, working-class Canadian guy who was born with certain special powers and granted more through a series of brutal experiments - for more that's my Wolverine reality. I'm not going too far from that."
Wolverine will probably begin production after the release of the third X-men movie. I'll keep you posted!

Glen Morgan talks Final Destination 3:
Producer Glen Morgan revealed the rollercoaster crash opening sequence for the third final Destination thriller. "It's not necessarily groundbreaking," he said, "But it hasn't been done before, you know, in this way. I don't know if we ever successfully pull it off."
Scifi Wire got the chance to view the storyboarded version of the sequence and posted the following description:
"It takes place on a fictional roller coaster with a 200-foot drop, corkscrews and a high loop. The speeding coaster loses hydraulic pressure, causing restraining harnesses to relax and wheels to fall off. As the coaster accelerates into its various turns and whirls, high school students fly out, fall, get run over and wind up hanging upside down by their fingers. Some die gruesome deaths."

Lee Tamahori talks Next:
XXX: State of the Union director Lee Tamahori talked about his upcoming sci-fi project, Next, starring Nicolas Cage. The movie is based on Philip K. Dick's story about a man with the ability to see short distances into the future.
"I know that sounds elusive," Tamahori said, "But this is a very tricky project. This movie is about time shifting, and time shifting in movies has always been tricky. Nick Cage and I are both looking for a new approach. We're looking for something that is visually arresting as well as physically fascinating and believable. The technique can wear itself out and become boring very fast. We don't want to turn this into a science-fiction movie without the science fiction."
Total Recall, Minority Report, A Scanner Darkly, Paycheck and Blade Runner were also based on Dick's short stories.
