The legendary Special Effect Guru just finished his work on Terminator 3 and mentioned he's prepping for Jurassic Park IV: "Plenty of brainstorming sessions with Steven Spielberg! Even though it's pretty early in the piece, things are moving forward very nicely. We're into the design phase here at the studio. Our drawings and concepts get submitted to Steven, who makes changes or corrections if he wants to. We're doing a lot of research and checking up on the latest dinosaur theories, because this has always been about making the animals as accurate and realistic as possible. We're just getting an idea of how challenging this project will be. During our concept meetings, Steven has said 'I want a particular dinosaur to do this, this, and this. Can you do that?' Yeah, yeah, we can do it. He asks me how we are going to do it and I just say 'I don't know how we will do it, but we'll figure out a way to do it and we'll do it' (laughs). There is no official director yet, but yeah, it is going ahead slowly but surely." Read the rest of the interview here. Godfather IV: Andy Garcia wants to make another Godfather movie...but Paramount isn't so sure about it: "The irony and fascination for me is that -- with all the movies Paramount takes risks on each year -- they have this franchise people are desperate to see and they won't green-light it. There were already things Mario Puzo and Francis Coppola had worked out for a fourth film. It would be about Sonny Corleone in his 20s because that was Mario's favourite character. I suggested Leonardo DiCaprio to Francis, who says he's very interested, but Paramount would have to hire (Coppola) simply as a director and writer." Garcia adds there would be a parallel story dealing with his character, so the film would take place in two eras flashing back and forth. "On one side of the movie, you'd have a young demographic, which Hollywood is looking for, and then there's the other side with older actors." Come on, Paramount, it's time for a good maffia movie, lets make this happen! Source: Coming Soon Van Helsing art: Some awesome Van Helsing conceptial art was posted at Dark Horizons. He added 43 minutes of never before seen footage resulting in a total running time of 222 minutes! Peter Jackson talks what we can expect: "We have a great scene - which I would have loved to put in the theatrical version - where he recites really bad poetry to the Hobbits, who are desperately trying not to fall asleep... There are a lot more surprises in that extra Fangorn material." I was more curious to see his Genghis Khan project, but now that Andrew Davis is also interested in Under Siege 3 this actually might work, here's what Seagal had to say: "This will be the next 'cab off the rank,' so to speak [after "Genghis Khan"]. We're looking at options now for a story. We don't want to do a rehash of the first movie. He's been on a boat, he's been on a train... so now we have to put Casey Ryback in new surroundings. Andrew Davis, who directed the first film, will be back and promises it's going to be something pretty spectacular. All going to plan, Andy and I will be doing something before the end of the year. It will be nice to have something back in the theaters again." Good luck guys, too bad you can't bring Tommy Lee Jones back on board...
