movieXplosion.com is al weer bijna 6 weken on line! Ik heb veel feedback mailtjes ontvangen en ga de komende dagen wat kleine veranderingen aanbrengen, the finishing touches. Jullie zullen er niet veel van merken want ik probeer de news section gewoon up-to-date te houden. Bij deze wil ik alle movie freaks around the globe bedanken voor het bezoeken van mijn site!!!
Superman, Batman and The Matrix:
WB President and Chief Operating Officer Alan Horn gaf een interview op AICN website. Deze meneer heeft echt amazing Matrix, Superman en Batman nieuws! Hieronder een samenvatting van de chatsessie:
"Matrix Revolutions is going to open at the same exact moment everywhere on the planet (So it would open at midnight in the U.S., for instance, and at noon halfway around the world). First time this has been done. A trailer for Revolutions will follow the END of the credits for Reloaded."
Superman vs. Batman:
"We will do it. It's dark and mean-spirited but really, really good. The plan is to have Superman and Batman origin stories released within the same year (starting in 2005). Each movie (I think he said there would be three of each?) will deal with the Superheroes' origins and began to establish their relationship to each other which will set up "Superman vs. Batman" to follow the backstories. Superman and Batman find themselves at odds in "Superman vs. Batman" when Bruce goes out seeking bloody vengeance on the murderer of his new bride, Jennifer. Superman opposes him, fights him to the near death - then it's discovered that the guy behind Jennifer's murder is also this big baddie in Superman's circle and they unite to fight or something sweet like that."
Superman movie:
"J.J. Abrams' script for Superman: Horn was put off by the idea initially but after reading the script, liked it a lot - especially the nuances of the Clark Kent character. Also, feels it's important to get an ACTOR, a great ACTOR, to be Clark. The Clark/Superman difference can't just be about taking the glasses off anymore."

Ghostrider rides again:
Daredevil regisseur Mark Steve Johnson heeft bekend gemaakt dat zijn volgende film "Ghostrider" wordt, wederom gebasseerd op een Marvel Comic. Het project zweefde al enkele jaren in development hell maar lijkt erop dat ze het weer serieus gaan oppakken. Nicolas Cage is nog steeds beschikbaar om de hoofdrol te spelen.

King Conan:

"Tonight, He comes" wordt de volgende film van regisseur Micheal "Heat" Mann. Deze film (met een dubbelzinnige titel) vertelt het volgende verhaal: "The project is about a tortured superhero who crash-lands in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, and tries to revitalize himself by romancing an alluring housewife -- causing chaos in the city." Klinkt interessant...
Ander director nieuws, Simon West heeft getekend voor Jurassic Park IV. West is ook verantwoordelijk voor The General's Daughter en Tomb Raider.

James Cameron Projects:
James Cameron liet weten waar hij allemaal mee bezig is tijdens de "Ghost of the Abyss" press conference. In deze IMAX film gaat James met Bill Paxton terug naar de Titanic. Cameron werkt nu aan een aantal projecten waaronder een 3D film, Manga verfilming en hij heeft ook een idee om de Alien franchise nieuw leven in te blazen! Een vervolg op True Lies zit er niet meer in, klik hier en lees meer op de AICN website.
The First Dutch Martial Arts Movie!:
Ik kreeg van de week een interessant e-mailtje van Ron Smoorenburg. Hij stuurde me een bericht dat Nederland zijn allereerste martial arts film gaat uitbrengen. Voor de mensen die zich afvragen wie Ron Smoorenburg is...ga snel Jackie Chan's "Who Am I" in huis halen en spoel door naar het eindgevecht waar je onze eigen Ron ziet vechten tegen Kung Fu master Jackie Chan boven op het Nedlloyd gebouw in Rotterdam! Deze final fight is één van de beste vechtscènes ooit gefilmd en staat bol van de amazing high kicks van Smoorenburg. Na deze film is zijn carrière in een stroomversnelling belandt en heeft hij in diverse Hong Kong films gespeeld waaronder Andrew Lau's Avenging Fist. En nu is het tijd voor Nederland om een goede vechtfilm uit te brengen genaamd Fighting Fish! De cast bestaat uit grote namen zoals Chantal Janzen, Kim Ho Kim, Jennifer de Jong en natuurlijk Smoorenburg. De film is geregisseerd door Jamel Aatache en komt later dit jaar uit, I'll keep you posted on this one...

Pirates of the Caribbean:
Deze maand begint Jerry Bruckheimer aan een groots opgezette promotie campagne van zijn nieuwe film "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl". De film is gebasseerd op Disneylands gelijknamige attractie. Gore Verbinski (The Ring, Mousehunt) regisseert en maakt gebruik van een interessante cast, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush. Bruckheimer heeft het volgende te vertellen:
"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is going to be an action-filled spectacular with groundbreaking visual effects -- and this first look is the best way to get the word out on this amazing movie. The different characteristics of the actors come through when they become skeletons. There is some skin, hair, clothes, eyeballs. In other words, you can pick these bones apart from one another. In the tale, Barbossa and his sailors hijack Depp's ship, the Black Pearl, and kidnap the governor's beauteous daughter (Keira Knightley of Bend It Like Beckham), who holds the key to breaking their curse and becoming mortal again. The pirates can't enjoy the pleasures in life - food, sex, any of those things. They just are consumed with greed. What Barbossa really wants is a nice green apple to bite into"
De film is niet alleen actie avontuur maar bevat ook een vleugje romantiek en paar goede grappen (dankzij de schrijvers van "Shrek" Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio). Check out the fab poster and great pic of Geoffrey Rush.

More Punisher details:
Eerder deze week werd bevestigd dat Thomas Jane de rol van The Punisher gaat vertolken. Variety heeft interessante aanvullende informatie: "The movie is a throwback to the great righteous revenge movies of the 1970s like 'Walking Tall' and 'Dirty Harry,' " said Artisan Pictures production prexy Richard Saperstein. "Tom is a real actor who gives weight to what will be a gritty R-rated film. This is not some special effects movie with a guy running around in spandex."
Cool, een superhero film voor 16 jaar en ouder dus. Jonathan Hensleigh maakt met The Punisher zijn regiedebuut, hij is o.a. werkzaam geweest als als writer/producer van Armageddon, Con Air en Die Hard with a Vengeance.

The Order Poster: De nieuwe poster van Heath Ledger's (a Knights Tale) nieuwe film The Order is te zien bij Empire Movies: "The film follows a conflicted, rebellious priest who travels to Rome to investigate the strange death of his mentor. The young priest, a troubled artist with whom he shares a turbulent past, and his closest friend and colleague discover the mysterious death may be the work of the Sin Eater, an ancient figure who plays God on earth by absolving the unforgivable of their sins outside the Church, allowing great evil to go unpunished." Die Hard 4 details:
Actionadventure.com heeft gesproken met producer Arnold Rifkin over Die Hard 4. Het gerucht dat Britney spears de dochter van Willis zou spelen is door Rifkin ontkent: "That is the most amazing thing that I've ever heard", over het zoeken naar een goed script, had die het volgende te zeggen," Let's face it, Bruce ain't jumping off buildings anymore because he ain't going to land that well. We want to do it, and we are in active pursuit. We have probably met with 30 writers, and the biggest questions that you ask yourself - because one day if we do do it we'll be sitting here with you, and you're going to say why did you this movie? So, the reality is, who is he? It's eight years later. What is he doing, what happened when he was rebellious, he was never within the system, and you can't have him in the right place at the wrong time again. Do you bring Sam back? Do bring Sam's son back and somehow Sam gets killed and whatever, and because of their relationship Bruce adopts? What would make sense to any of you that you would be willing to accept that he's now doing this again? Because he ain't leaping from buildings, we've done planes, we've done buildings. What is it you do? And you don't want to do terrorists, because then we're going to sit here and you're going to say, 'Wasn't that irresponsible of you to put terrorists back in the White House?' Or do you want to put terrorists in Yankee Stadium, where the biggest event is? And that's unfortunately what people, writers come up with. So we will do it if the right story comes."
