Newsflash:
Hi guys, hieronder een supersnelle opsomming van het laatste casting nieuws, ik ben dit weekend weer terug met de volgende update!:
 Nicolas Cage goes hip hop! De acteur speelt samen met 50 Cent in de gevangenis-boks-film The Dance.
Antonio Banderas speelt de rol van Hernan Cortes, de ontdekkingsreiziger uit de 16de eeuw, in Conquistador.
Anna Paquin en Breckin Meyer zijn te zien in de romantische komedie Blue State. De film vertelt het verhaal van een jonge democraat die campagne voert... I've already lost interest.
Tim Allen en George Lopez krijgen het moeilijk met het opvoeden van hun kleinzoon in de komedie Amigos.
Paul Giamatti en Chris Evans vergezellen Scarlett Johansson in The Nanny Diaries. Johansson speelt een jonge vrouw die door een rijke familie wordt ingehuurd als nanny. Chris Evans speelt de love-interest... of was het Giamatti?

Andy Vajna on Terminator 4!:
Producer Andy Vajna sprak over Terminator 4! Of Governor Arnold weer te zien is als de cyborg is nog maar de vraag, Vajna vertelde het volgende over Arnie en waar ze gaan filmen:
"We were thinking about Australia. We have been looking at the Warner Bros Studios down there but it is early days. That would be probably early next year.
We have the script ready and we are now looking for a director and figuring out what the next step is. We would like Arnie in it as a cameo. We want to go on with the Terminator and turn it into a real sci-fi picture and there is a very interesting role for Arnold if he decides he wants to do it. But I am not sure where he is with his politics and all that, we will see."

Newsflash:
Samuel L. Jackson speelt naast John Cusack in de horror flick 1408. De film over een hotelkamer dat bewoond wordt door geesten, is gebaseerd op Stephen King's short story. Mikael Håfström (Derailed) gaat de film regisseren. Source: Variety
Seann William Scott produceert en vertolkt de hoofdrol in de indie-komedie Gary the Tennis Coach. Dude, Where's My Car? regisseur buigt zich over de film dat het verhaal vertelt van een high school conciërge (Scott) die coach wordt van een groep nerds. Source: Variety
The Simpsons is met 17 seizoenen de langste serie dat te zien is op de beeldbuis. En in 2007 verschijnt dan eindelijk de bioscoopfilm, check out the teaser trailer here!
Leuke pics van Disney's computer animatie The Wild zijn verschenen. Dieren van de New York Zoo proberen een maatje te redden die per ongeluk wordt verscheept naar een echte jungle. Takashi Shimizu talks Grudge 2:
The Grudge 2 zal veel vragen uit het eerste deel beantwoorden en behandelt ook de backstory van de creepy spirit Kayako.
Takashi Shimizu, regisseur van de originele film, de Hollywood remake en het vervolg, sprak over de mysteries van de films:
"For The Grudge 2, I was going for this mystery that was never there in The Grudge 1, and I think that's going to fulfill the audience. There's a secret about Kayako's childhood life, so that's part of the big mystery. And the other mystery is, this grudge will never stop, and it's going to spread. And how is it going to get spread? That's another mystery.
The other mystery is, what has happened to Karen, who was the main lead actress in The Grudge 1. So that's another mystery that you'll find out.
The Grudge 1 was a complete remake of Ju-On 1, meaning the storyline was very similar. But The Grudge 2 is actually different from Ju-On 2, and I don't think I would have accepted this job if it was going to be the same storyline. And because it was a different story, you know, my motivation was a bit higher, and I actually enjoy doing this."

Bruce Willis talks Die Hard 4:
It's April Fools' Day, guys... veel websites hebben flauwekul-nieuws geplaatst, but don't worry, daar doe ik
niet aan mee! Hieronder het laatste 'echte' Hollywood nieuws!
Bruce Willis sprak over Die Hard 4 en zelfs een vervolg op 16 Blocks(?):
"They're both being written. We've to throw a few more old man jokes in the Die Hard script, while we do that... we might bring Jack Mosley back.
I can honestly tell you that Bonnie Bedelia and Reginald VelJohnson, from the first films, are the only guys we've talked about bringing back. There has to be enough room in the scene for my walking cane."
Leuke update, Bruce, maar het blijft nog een beetje vaag. Het zou wel fantastisch zijn om Reginald VelJohnson terug te zien in de rol Sgt. Powell.

Baz Luhrmann's project on hold!:
De productie van Baz Luhrmann's Australische WWII epic met Nicole Kidman en Russell Crowe is tijdelijk uitgesteld.
"To say that it is a complex and large-scale undertaking is an understatement," vertelde de regisseur, "And I cannot formally announce the project until all of the crucial elements are secure.
Currently, they are not, and so it is true we've had to disengage some of our very loyal team. As soon as we are able to bring those crucial elements together I will be able to make a formal announcement concerning the starting date of the production, at which time it will also be named."
De regisseur was van plan om in augustus te beginnen met het filmen maar de productie is nu verplaatst naar volgend jaar.

Antonio Banderas talks Shrek 3 and more:
Zorro ster Antonio Banderas verzorgt weer de stem van Puss in Boots in Shrek 3 en de acteur
veklapt ook dat een Puss in Boots spin-off film op de planning staat. Banderas geeft een update:
"Tomorrow I'm going to my fist session of recording for him. The story and the recording of the Shrek films is very open. We improvise a lot, and many new things come during every session, and then they take all of that material and put it together with the animation.
We will have the Puss in Boots spinoff movie, it is interesting to do a movie only with the character, called Puss in Boots: The Story of an Ogre Killer. It would be between the third and the fourth Shrek. And in the fourth Shrek, I think, I'm going to play two characters: I'm going to play Puss in Boots and his badass brother. So I will have to invent another voice for him."
