Spider-man 2 update:
Ik heb een geweldige Spider-man 2 update vandaag! My mate from Down Under, Dark Horizon's Garth, was getuige van de presentatie
van de trailer en de eerste beelden tijdens de ShoWest convention. Hier volgt een omschrijving, prepare to drool:
The New Trailer
The new domestic trailer is still being assembled and will debut in cinemas April 9th, but we got a sneak peek. After the quite limp teaser, its very pleasing to say quite simply this preview ROCKED - literally the best full trailer of a Summer movie yet. The first half deals with Peter (Tobey Maguire) being sick of his identity and ditching his superhero identity (literally his costume in a trashcan). Combine that with some Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) and Harry Osborn (Jmes Franco) footage as they want something from Peter (she wants a love admission, he wants to know why Peter seems to protect his father's killer) . Then the second half is all Doc Ock action and Spidey fighting scenes, flashes of Tobey's chest, people getting picked up like rag dolls, the Ock origin scene, and massive street battles.
Footage
Around seven minutes of footage were on hand as well. The scene began with the end scene from the teaser trailer - spidey and Doc Ock on top of a clock tower fighting each other. The fight is brutal - the four mechanical claws get really worked out, Spidey has ALL sorts of web shooting tricks and some quite spectacular action which moves to a fast moving train headed for danger. A simply awesome action clip, perhaps what's coolest is that Ock lacks any sympathy. In a moment where passengers all stand up to him and say "To get to him, you'll have to come through us", he yells "Ok" and proceeds to push/crush them aside and/or off the train.

heeft meer details over de film. Marvel's Avi Arad sprak over het tweede deel dat uiteraard het eerste deel moest overtreffen:
"We realized that we had set the bar extremely high with the first movie. We decided that the best shot in the first movie would have to be the worst shot in the second one. Everything had to improve.
While Arad was pleased with the stunts in the first film, "it wouldn't be good enough to just have him scaling buildings in this movie. Spider-Man should be doing things that have never been seen. In the sequel, our hero - and the camera that follows him - moves much faster over streets and between skyscrapers."
Man, ik kan niet wachten...

John Singleton talks Luke Cage:
Regisseur John Singleton (2 Fast 2 Furious) is druk bezig met de voorbereidingen op zijn nieuwe film, de comic
based flick Luke Cage! Hij sprak over het vinden van de acteur, het script en wat we van de film
kunnen verwachten:
"I got a couple of people in mind, but it's premature to say. It's going to be announced in probably a week or so who's going to be Cage."
Singleton confirmed that Cage will be using his trademark "Sweet Christmas" line in the film.
"When I read the script, I bust out laughing when he said that but he can't wear the yellow shirt and he can't have the chains -- I'm not having that. And it's not like the Richard Corben one, either. I'm doing the movie for one reason, to have him break out of Seagate Prison with his bare hands.
It's a fun movie. It's hip. It's so cool, imagine if 50 Cent got super-powers."

Paul Anderson gives Alien vs. Predator update!!!:
IGN Filmforce heeft met Paul Anderson
gesproken, de regisseur van Alien vs. Predator! De film is op dit moment in post-production en
zal in augustus in de bioscopen verschijnen. Paul Anderson sprak over de vechtscènes, special effects en de originele
Alien en Predator films. Here's a clip:
IGN Filmforce: So what's giving you the most trouble in post-production right now?
Anderson: In post? I wouldn't say that any scene is a trouble scene because it doesn't work or anything like that. This is a movie that had a phenomenal amount of thought put into it before we started making it, specifically with how we were going to do the Alien and Predator combat aspects. I did not want to rely on fully CG Aliens and Predators wailing on each other, because I don't think that would have looked very good ... I mean you could have spent years and Jurassic Park money on it and it would never have looked as good as the real thing. So that's why we specifically shot as much practical as we possibly could. What that meant was we had to spend a huge amount of time shooting the fights. If you do it all CG, you shoot a bunch of plates and then you do it post-production on a computer.
IGN Filmforce: Can we expect much one-on-one action?
Anderson: I know for a fact that we've put some amazing Alien and Predator action on film. I don't have to finish cutting the movie to know that, I mean these creatures look the best they've looked and when they go head-to-head, it's like two alien creatures going head-to-head, it looks real, it looks ferocious, it's fast, it's frenzied, it's scary as hell. It's very impactful as well, I mean it's huge! People are going to leave the theaters I think pretty wrung out..
IGN Filmforce: How about the sound of Predator-vision - that was a very distinct sound - will you be able to preserve some of that?
ANDERSON: Absolutely! I mean our intention was to not stray too far away from what the original movies did; the Alien makes a certain sound and the Alien is going to make that sound, Predators make a certain sound and that's the species they are. They're not suddenly going to start making different noises. We're staying very true to the franchises in terms of the sounds of the creatures, in terms of things like graphics, the Predator-vision, we're keeping the same thing.

Ik heb een geweldige Newsflash om de week goed te beginnen! We beginnen met een Batman Begins update:
The Batman symbol van de nieuwe Batman film is nu bekend gemaakt op The official site. Klik op het plaatje om een grote versie te zien.
Shirley MacLaine en Michael Caine gaan waarschijnlijk in Bewitched spelen. Nicole Kidman en Will Ferrell hebben al getekend om de hoofdrol te spelen in de remake van de populaire jaren 60 serie.

Frank Darabont zal het script voor de derde Mission Impossible film (her)schrijven. Joe Carnahan (Narc) regisseert, Tom Cruise en Ving Rhames zullen weer van de partij zijn in M:I 3.

De nieuwe trailer van de vampierjager Van Helsing is nu online. De film is geregisseerd door Stephen Sommers (The Mummy) en Hugh Jackman speelt de hoofdrol.
Empire Movies heeft exclusieve foto's van de nieuwe thriller van M. Night Shyamalan, The Village. De film vertelt het verhaal van een klein dorpje in Pennsylvania anno 1897. Het dorpje is omgeven door een bos waar vreemde mystieke wezens wonen. De cast bestaat uit Joaquin Phoenix, Bryce Dallas Howard, William Hurt, Sigourney Weaver en Adrien Brody. U.S. Box Office Mar 19-21:
Zombies hebben de Amerikaanse Box Office overgenomen, Dawn of the Dead kwam op de eerste plaats
binnen met $27 miljoen! Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ kwam daardoor op een tweede plaats
maar doet het toch nog steeds goed met $19 miljoen. De film heeft het record gebroken van grootste opbrengst voor
een R-rated film, vorige recordhouder was The Matrix Reloaded.

Sky Captain posters!!!:
Filmforce IGN heeft drie mooie
posters geplaatst van Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow! Het verhaal speelt zich af in New York anno 1930.
Reporter Polly Perkins (Gwyneth Paltrow) ontdekt dat verschillende wetenschappers spoorloos zijn. Plotseling
verschijnen er vreemde vliegende objecten en reuzachtige robots in hartje Manhattan. Samen met piloot Sky Captain
(Jude Law) probeert ze uit te zoeken wat er precies aan de hand is.
Kerry Conran heeft de film geregisseerd dat volledig met een bluescreen is opgenomen. De achtergrond is later met
CGI gecreëerd. "The whole movie is a special effect," vertelt Conran, "even a scene with two people sitting in a
room. Really, it's a live-action cartoon."

Kevin Kline gaat waarschijnlijk de rol van chief Inspector Dreyfus op zich nemen in The Pink Panther! Steve Martin speelt Clouseau en
Shawn Levy (Cheaper by the Dozen) regisseert de komedie.

John Woo's Action-Musical?!:
Mijn favoriete regisseur John Woo (MI:2, Face/Off) wilt Hugh "Wolverine" Jackman voor zijn action-musical project.
Jackman moet een Amerikaanse gangster spelen met een goed gevoel voor ritme. "I want to do an action-musical," vertelt Woo,
"I have dreamed about doing it for seven years. It's an American gangster movie and is about a gangster who is also a good
dancer. It is not a singing movie, but there is dancing and action. We are working on the script and it's almost
done."
Ik weet wat je denkt, "een action-musical???" Don't worry, John Woo zal er vast iets spektaculairs van maken!
