Newsflash:
Hi guys, here's the last big fat newsflash of the week, but I'll be back in the weekend with the next update, enjoy!:
Benicio Del Toro will play the man-beast himself in The Wolf Man. The film will be set in Victorian England, where Del Toro will be bitten by a werewolf... Se7en screenwriter Andrew Kevin is currently writing the script, Del Toro will produce.
Director Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3) has left Tonight, He Comes (and nope, the flick is not X-rated). Will Smith is still attached to play the lead in the film about an underappreciated superhero. Mostow and Smith found they weren't on the same page creatively.
Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham has been cast as the female lead, opposite Steve Carell in the Bruce Almighty sequel, Evan Almighty. John Goodman will also play a supporting role.
William Hurt will play Kevin Costner's alter ego in the psychological thriller Mr. Brooks. Costner will play a tortured man who tries to be disciplined and remain in control but his evil part loves murder and mayhem! Right on!
Check out the lovely poster for the Pixar flick Cars, right here.
Quick Superman Returns update; the film has received a PG-13 rating from the MPAA for some intense action violence (nice!) and Hugh Jackman has a cameo as Superman's young dad in a flashback.
A bunch of new X-Men: The Last Stand pics are online, click on Logan for more, man, he looks great!

Awesome, movieXplosion.com received another exclusive poster! Check out the cool one-sheet for Scary Movie 4, here's the official synopsis:
"Scary Movie 4 is set to invade a theatre near you with outrageous send-ups of War of the Worlds, The Grudge, The Village, Saw and Saw II, Million Dollar Baby and much more. Legendary comedy director David Zucker (Airplane!, the Naked Gun franchise, Scary Movie 3, and Ruthless People) and producer Bob Weiss reunite to take aim at some of the best fright films, the latest box office hits, music, current events, pop culture, and your favorite celebrities. Anna Faris and Regina Hall are back as the loveable, dim-witted Cindy Campbell and her self-serving, sex-crazed pal, Brenda, respectively joined this time around by Craig Bierko (Cinderella Man), as the cute-but-utterly clueless Tom Ryan. Together, they battle to save the world from a ruthless alien invasion. And, in true Scary Movie tradition, the outrageous celebrity cameos are non-stop."

Gaspard Ulliel talks Young Hannibal:
Oh yeah, coming soon Young Hannibal: Behind the Mask, the prequel to Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal and Red Dragon. Though Hopkins isn't in, I'm still pretty curious about this flick. Gaspard Ulliel will play the title role in the film about the early years of our beloved cannibal. Ulliel's favorite is Silence of the Lambs. "I watched it maybe 50 times," the actor said, "And studied how he was moving, his eye movement. You are moved by him and feel some pity for him even if he does all of those horrible killings."
He also revealed what the upcoming film is about: "It's the early cannibalism, he starts to discover the dark side of him and starts to enjoy the killing. You understand why he became like this. There are some really nasty killings, especially near the end. The more savage it is, the more great it is."

Star Wars on cable!:
Star Wars producer Rick McCallum once again talks about the Star Wars TV series! When will it air? Well, here's his answer:
"That's not going to happen probably for another year and a half while we develop scripts and everything else. But it's fantastic; we've got some incredible writers. It's going to be much darker, much more character-based, and I think it's going to be everything the fans always wanted the prequels to be. They'll be one-hour episode. It takes place between Episodes III and IV. It's going to be all-new characters, maybe a few bounty hunters in there to start the series off."

Paul Greengrass talks The Bourne Ultimatum:
The Bourne Supremacy director Paul Greengrass talks about the upcoming third chapter, The Bourne Ultimatum. The director gives a ...ehm, very interesting update:
"We've got a script and we're underway. It's a new story, completely different from the novel. It was written by Tony Gilroy and Tom Stoppard. It's going to have all the excitement you'd expect from a Bourne film and all the intensity you'd expect from a Bourne story. I can't wait - it's just going to be fuckin' fantastic.
It's going to rock. That's honestly what it's going to do. What direction? We'll have a better car chase, have more exciting action, more intensity and just generally be a fuckin' classy film. I think Matt Damon's looking forward to it like I am. It's going to be an absolute laugh."
Hehe, cool! Looking forward to check this one out.

Daniel Craig talks Casino Royale:
New James Bond star Daniel Craig talked to Coming Soon about the upcoming Casino Royale! Here's what the actor said about preparing himself mentally and physically to play this role:
"Mentally, I kind of got my head around it before I got the job and decided that this is one of those challenges in life that when they come along, you really just have to face them head-on. Accepting the fact that there's a huge amount of history and baggage that comes along with it, saying, "Okay, that's all there and it's all fantastic," so all I had to do is try and put my self into the situation and bring myself to it. That's all I can do. Physically, I've just been in the gym four months now... constantly.
Of course, I'm aware of the stuff on the internet. The controversy is something I get. When I accepted the job, I understood there would be consequences, but I can't set myself up and protecting myself, I have to say "Okay, I'm going to accept this." Nobody knows more than I do how important this is, and basically, I've taken on this responsibility, and I'm going to give it my best shot, and once the film's made, then we'll see. But judge the movie, because that's the deal."

New shots of Casino Royale are also online. You can check them out by clicking on 007. Casino Royale is directed by Martin Campbell and also stars Judi Dench, Eva Green, Mads Mikkelsen and Jeffrey Wright. The film will be released later this year.

Ron Perlman talks Hellboy 2!:
Hellboy sequel has a working title, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army! Ron Perlman talked a bit about the title and the film:
"I think that that's an invention based on a number of different things that have appeared in other comic books. But basically the idea for Hellboy 2 was something that was hatched by Hellboy comic-book creator Mike Mignola, with Hellboy writer-director Guillermo del Toro sitting alongside of him. And then Guillermo, of course, did all of the writing. But, you know, the story was Mignola.
It's a compendium of a lot of elements that they were not able to address in the first one, because the first one was kind of a slave to the backstory and who Hellboy is, how we come to find him, etc., etc. Now they can kind of branch out a little bit and get funky with it and hit some of the other colors that existed in some of the other comic books."
