Lethal Weapon 5?!:
Richard Donner sprak wederom over Lethal Weapon 5! De regisseur was ook verantwoordelijk voor de andere vier
Lethal Weapon films (en de fantastische Superman film) maar wilt het vijfde deel alleen maken als Mel Gibson meedoet:
"It's up to Mel. If he says yes then there's another Lethal Weapon. I have a great story, I'd love to do it and put Lethal Weapon to bed.
If they want to go and make it without Mel well, go ahead and be my guest but it's not for me. Mel is Lethal Weapon.
It was hard for Mel to do Lethal 4. It was really hard on him, for Lethal Weapon 5 it would have to be a story that would be worthwhile, but I think maybe there is something out there."

Walking Tall pics:
Latino Review
heeft nieuwe pics van Walking Tall, de actie spektakel van voormalig worstelaar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
"The story revolves around Chris Vaughn (The Rock), a retired soldier who returns to his hometown to make a new life for himself, only to discover his wealthy high school rival, Jay Hamilton (Neal McDonough), has closed the once-prosperous lumber mill and turned the town's resources towards his own criminal gains. The place Chris grew up is now overrun with crime, drugs and violence. Enlisting the help of his old pal Ray Templeton (Johnny Knoxville), Chris gets elected sheriff and vows to shut down Hamilton's operations. His actions endanger his family and threaten his own life, but Chris refuses to back down until his hometown once again feels like home."

haar rol als CIA secretary in het vervolg op The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy:
How does the secretary come back?
I thought that I'd gotten out of the world of the CIA after almost being killed in the first one and Joan Allen is sort of heading the operation to find him again and she drags me off of the street and against my will kind of makes me help her find him because they think that I have more information. I was the last person to see Jason Bourne alive and they think that I have a lot more information and they make me sort of spy on him.
Are you working with Matt Damon in the film?
Yeah. I have a really great scene with him in the movie where he catches me sort of spying on him, and at the risk of giving too much away, he remembers that I was the last person who saw him and so, he also wants to help me fill him in on his past, but he wants to do it without the CIA sort of observing us or having me wired. So, he drags me into the subway and is interrogating me and even holds a gun to my head and things like that. I don't want to give it all away.

More Batsuit details!:
Batman Begins is in "full production", op dit moment wordt in Iceland gefilmd, daarna in London
en in juli wordt de rest in Chicago opgenomen. Helaas zijn er nog geen foto's beschikbaar (dat zal niet lang duren) maar
verschillende omschrijvingen van The Batsuit zijn wel online te vinden. We beginnen met Dark Horizons
die het volgende vermeldt:
The chest area features a large black bat emblem that doesn't look like the one from the movies or the comics but looks very cool, he said everyone cheered when the packing materials were removed from the crate and the emblem was the first thing they saw at the top and obviously packed that way deliberately by Lindy.
All the other pieces are dark grey/granite but so dark its almost black. The cowl looks small and may stretch to fit the wearer, complete with longish ears. It looks like there is a an extra piece that covers the chin area but couldn't confirm as it was being held in a costume person's hand when he saw it. Unfortunalty he couldn't see the cape or belt clearly.
Overall he said they are going for the Spiderman/Daredevil look where Batman looks like a more agile human being rather than a guy in a bulky muscle suit. He said that the stunt suit is being fitted to one of Bale's doubles this afternoon and they will be 'testing it', how they are going to test it is anyones guess. Another five hero suits and ten stunt suits will arrive next week.
Superhero Hype heeft ook meer details
over The Batsuit. De site heeft een blik kunnen werpen op de riem, handschoenen en laarzen:
The gloves aren't quite armoured but the boots look like they have greaves and the soles look like they're designed to give good traction.
The cowl isn't as restrictive as the one from the other movies was, the guy in the suit was able to turn his head. The cowl is sculpted and I'm not sure if the material would move with the actor's face.
The material looks kind of like leather, it definitely has a texture to it, it isn't smooth like rubber or plastic. Also there's seams on the costume, up and down the arms and legs and on the sides of the body. I don't know if they're supposed to be there as they don't really show up in the darker shots of the costume.
Ik hoop dat de eerste foto snel online is! De hoofdrol wordt vertolkt door Christian Bale, de rest van de cast bestaat uit Liam Neesam, Morgan Freeman, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman en Ken Watanabe!

Vandaag een paar interessante headlines in de Newsflash met o.a. een geweldige Episode III pic:
 Check out a mean looking Anakin Skywalker joining the Dark Side! Klik op de pic voor een grote versie.
Val Kilmer vertelde iets over Oliver Stone en zijn epos Alexander: "I think Alexander will probably be his best film; it's the weirdest epic that you'll ever see! One thing that is amazing, and it's really well done, is that you go from his childhood, being taught by Aristotle, right through to his death at 37 or 38 years old."

John Carpenter ziet het nog steeds zitten om een vervolg te maken op één van zijn beste films The Thing:
"I have a great story for Part 2, which kicks off with the two characters left alive at the end of the first one. I'm interested in doing it. Unfortunately, I don't think Universal is. Well, it's interested in doing a sequel, but it's not interested in having me direct it! You know, the studio will end up getting some commercials hotshot to do it, and that'll be that. I don't care. I'm certainly not going to beg. These people didn't even get the original, despite the fact it's my favourite movie of my own.

Thing was that The Thing came out just after ET, which became a huge hit. The Thing's message was the absolute opposite to E.T's. Steven Spielberg said at the time that, "the audience needed an uplifting cry". The guy was on the money. He's an astute businessman that Spielberg. He had a huge hit on his hands, while we performed really poorly at the box office, so Universal then unceremoniously threw me off Firestarter, which I was prepping at the time. I could have done something really fucking good with that [sighs]. At least, though, The Thing has been really well received in its later years. That's a pleasant finger up at Universal, and a comforting thought in my later years."

New Punisher Posters!:
Geweldig nieuwe posters vandaag, check out twee nieuwe character posters van The Punisher. Frank Castle
zweert wraak nadat zijn vrouw en zoon worden vermoord en bestrijdt de misdaad volgens zijn eigen keiharde regels.
De film is gebaseerd op de Marvel comic, Thomas Jane speelt The Punisher, John Travolta de bad
guy Howard Saint en voormalig screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh regisseert. Klik op de pic voor grote versies.

New Hellboy Posters!:
Twee nieuwe Hellboy posters zijn online verschenen, één is de uiteindelijke versie van artist Drew Struzan
(enkele weken geleden werd een tijdelijk ontwerp gepresenteerd). De film vertelt het verhaal van een demon die
door de Nazi's tot leven is gewekt maar nu vecht tegen het kwaad. Ron Perlman speelt de hoofdrol en de film is
geregisseerd door Guillermo del Toro (Blade II). Klik op de pics voor grote versies.

U.S. Box Office March 05-07:
Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ staat voor een tweede week op de eerste plaats met een
totale opbrengst van $212 miljoen. De komedie Starsky & Hutch met in de hoofdrollen Ben Stiller
en Owen Wilson kwam op een tweede plaats binnen met $29 miljoen, ook niet slecht dus. The Return of King
klom weer omhoog naar een zevende plaats dankzij het winnen van de 11 gouden Oscars vorige week bij de Academy Awards.
Hetzelfde geldt voor Charlize Theron's winning performance, zij kreeg een oscar voor beste vrouwelijk hoofdrol.
Haar film Monster worstelde zich naar een tiende plaats.

Thunderbirds pics:
Nieuwe Thunderbirds pics zijn weer online te vinden. Jonathan Frakes regisseert de sans-marionette
versie en de cast bestaat uit Bill Paxton, Ben Kingsley en Sophia Miles. Ik zit niet echt te wachten op deze
film na het zien van de trailer maar ik moet toegeven dat Frakes het sfeertje van de originele serie goed heeft
weergegeven, klik op de Thunderbird om de pics te zien.

Troy and The Day After Tomorrow Trailers:
Check out de indrukwekkende trailer van Troy met in de hoofdrollen Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom en geregisseerd

Logan's Run remake:
X-men regisseur Bryan Singer gaat een remake maken van de sci-fi film Logan's Run voordat
hij X3 gaat regisseren. De film vertelt het verhaal van een 21 jarige jongeman die de doodstraf probeert te
ontlopen in een wereld waar de bevolking systematisch wordt afgeslacht om overbevolking te voorkomen. Singer
vertelde het volgende:
"I was drawn to X-Men because of its universal issues of tolerance. This deals with a utopian society, but
also with the obsession of youth and mortality. I've already started working with my 'X2' production designer,
Guy Dyas, to create a visual world we've never seen before."
De film wordt geproduceerd door Joel Silver, verantwoordelijk voor de Matrix Trilogie:
"The novel contains a great idea for a film, and Bryan has found a way to go back to it and use his technical
abilities to make a huge sci-fi adventure film."
Michael York speelde in de originele versie uit 1976 de hoofdrol, wie in de remake gaat spelen is nog niet bekend.
Logan's Run wordt waarschijnlijk in 2005 uitgebracht.

Newsflash:
Beyonce Knowles gaat waarschijnlijk in de nieuwe Pink Panther film
spelen. Franse acteur Jean Reno is ook toegevoegd aan de cast en speelt de rol van Clouseau's reisgenoot. Steve
Martin vertolkt de hoofdrol in de komedie geregisseerd door Shawn Levy (Cheaper by the Dozen). Source: Variety.
The official I, Robot website
is nu online met veel goodies. Will Smith speelt de hoofdrol in de sci-fi film dat geregisseerd is door Alex Proyas (The Crow).
Voormalig editor Stuart Baird (Executive Decision) zal de bovennatuurlijke thriller Possession regisseren.
De film vertelt het verhaal van een verongelukte jongen die contact zoekt met zijn moeder om een groot geheim boven water

Renny Harlin talks The Exorcist:
Renny Harlin heeft het roer overgenomen van Paul Schrader, regisseur van Exorcist: The Beginning.
Harlin heeft bijna de gehele film opnieuw geschoten, Dark Horizons
heeft gedetailleerde info over Renny's bijdrage:
"Renny Harlin says he has finished "Exorcist" and that it's an all-new film, one which he'll be credited for. He said the people that were written out of the film, were written out only because they started afresh with a near new script. Those that have seen what Harlin's shot say it harks back to the original and is truly terrifying. "We already talking of doing number two. So they must like it", he assured us."
