ARCHIVES WEEK 08-2003 Goonies 2: The Next Batch: AICN reports that there will be a sequel of the Goonies. Actors from the original will not play a big part but their sons and daughters will be the new kids on the block in a "acient adventure in the Rocky Mountains". Director Richard Donner wil not be involved. Jimi - The Movie: Crosstown Traffic will be the title of the Jimi Hendrix biopic. The film will focus on the last years of the musician's turbulent life. I heard they wanted to make this film a couple of years ago, Laurence Fishburne was very interested in playing Hendrix but I don't know if he's still involved though... US Box office weekend 21-23 Feb: The Man Without Fear still managed to rule the box office. The comedy Old School starring Luke Wilson and Vince Vaughn, was the biggest threat but lost the battle earning just a couple of dollars less. Alfred is known for his small parts, but has done a great amount of movies (Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Frida). X2 Trailer: The X-men trailer is on line, follow this link and get your ass kicked cause this trailer rocks. I really hope Bryan Singer will take the sequel to the next level! Enjoy.
Batman Memento: Memento and Insomnia director Chris Nolan wants to direct an new Batman film. Guy Pearce is in talks for the role as the caped crusader. Andrew Kevin Walker who delivered the Batman vs Superman script is being approached by WB to write this new "original" Batman story. Source: batman on film Superman still ready for take off: This project is the one I'm waiting for but dark clouds are developing over the production. The rumours that director Brett Ratner was being replaced by Michael Bay were false (according to WB that is), setting the production costs and finding the right Superman is still a major issue. Now they seem to have found the perfect man of steel. Josh Hartnett was great during the screentest, Ratner is very exited about him but Hartnett doesn't want to sign a three picture deal... But Harnett will definetely be the main contender for the role. Source: the holywood reporter US Box office weekend 14-17 Feb: Yeeeehaaa! The Man Without Fear ruled the boxoffice last weekend!
