Newsflash:
 Paul Giamatti speelt tegenover Edward Norton in The Illusionist. Het verhaal speelt zich af tijdens de eeuwwisseling in Wenen, waar een illusionist verliefd wordt op een vrouw die kiest voor een rijke prins. De goochelaar gebruikt vervolgens zijn krachten om haar terug te winnen. Source: Variety
Martin Scorsese, Leonardo Di Caprio en screenwriter John Logan spannen hun krachten om een remake te maken van Akira Kurosawa's Drunken Angel. Source: Hollywood reporter
The official site van The Jacket is online! Adrien Brody en Keira Knightley spelen de hoofdrol in de psychologische thriller. Klik op de link voor de trailer, gallery en downloads.
The Watchmen website is ook online maar heeft, naast een mooie logo, niet veel te bieden. Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy) regisseert de superheldenfilm dat gebaseerd is op de comics van Alan Moore en Dave Gibbons. Hier volgt een interessante synopsis van de comics:
"It all begins with the paranoid delusions of a half-insane hero called Rorschach. But is Rorschach really insane or has he in fact uncovered a plot to murder super-heroes and, even worse, millions of innocent civilians? Newsflash:
De behind-the-scenes clip van War of the Worlds dat door E.T. werd uitgezonden is nu online. Klik hier om Spielberg en Cruise in actie te zien, absoluut de moeite waard om het te downloaden!
Het was even onduidelijk of Famke Janssen weer haar leren X-Men pakje zou aantrekken maar ze heeft het nu zelf bevestigd, she's back for X-Men 3! Het derde deel zal waarschijnlijk het verhaal van 'Dark Phoenix' vertellen, waarin alles draait om Famke die haar superkrachten niet meer onder controle kan houden.
Leuke trailer van Monster-In-Law is op het web verschenen. De cast van deze komedie bestaat uit Jennifer Lopez, Michael Vartan en Jane Fonda als de geflipte schoonmoeder. Klik hier voor de trailer.
De eerste poster van de politieke thriller The Interpreter is online. De hoofdrollen worden vertolkt door Nicole Kidman en Sean Penn. Sidney Pollack regisseert de thriller dat zich afspeelt in het gebouw van de United Nations.

Ray Harryhausen talks King Kong:
Special effects legende Ray Harryhausen (7th Voyage of Sinbad, Clash of the Titans) heeft er alle
vertrouwen in dat Peter Jackson een geweldige King Kong remake zal maken:
"I know Peter Jackson and I think he'll do a good job. There will always only be one King Kong, it was such a unique production. Dino De Laurentiis's [1976] interpretation, he left all the fantasy out. He thought the only thing that made King Kong popular was the girl and the ape, and that's not true. The original had so much fantasy and the whole thing hinges on fantasy. [But Jackson's] in love with the subject as much as I am. He'll do a good job."

tegenover niemand minder dan Samuel L. Jackson. De komedie vertelt het verhaal van een federal agent (Jackson) die moet samenwerken met een salesman (Levy)

Veel casting geruchten over Superman Returns zweven rond in cyberspace. Een aantal zijn niet
echt te vertrouwen maar een klein gedeelte wordt bevestigd door mijn betrouwbare bronnen! Deze heb ik

Super Bowl TV Spots!:
The Patriots vs. Eagles game was ook op de Nederlandse televisie te zien (thanks, SBS6!) maar de commercials werden uiteraard
niet vertoond. Gelukkig zijn deze TV spots nu ook op internet te vinden! Check out de trailers van; John Travolta in Be Cool, Will Smith in Hitch, Adam Sandler in The Longest Yard, Vin Diesel in The Pacifier, Robin Williams in Robots en Ice Cube in XXX: State of the Union.

U.S. Box Office Feb 04-06:
Horrorfilm Boogeyman werd voor $20 miljoen gemaakt, kwam ondanks de Super Bowl op de eerste plaats binnen en
verdiende meer dan $19 miljoen, dus de film maakt de komende weken alleen maar winst! De nummer één van vorige week, Hide and Seek,
viel terug naar een vierde plaats. Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Jeff Stockwell gaat in opdracht van Walt Disney het script schrijven voor een live action versie van Kiki's Delivery Service. De film is gebaseerd op de geweldige Japanse tekenfilm van Hayao Miyazaki's (Spirited Away). Source: Variety
Dustin Hoffman speelt naast Will Ferrell, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Emma Thompson en Queen Latifah in de komedie Stranger Than Fiction. Source: Variety
Eva Mendes is toegevoegd aan de cast van Ghost Rider! Mark Steven Johnson (Daredevil) regisseert de film dat gebaseerd is op de Marvel comics, Nicolas Cage speelt de hoofdrol. Source: Fox news
The official website van Aeon Flux is nu online. De sci-fi film met Charlize Theron, is een remake van de populaire MTV tekenfilms uit de jaren 90. De website heeft helaas nog niets te bieden maar het logo is fantastisch, klik om naar binnen te gaan!

Martin Campbell directs Bond #21:
James Bond producers Michael G. Wilson en Barbara Broccoli hebben bekend gemaakt dat Martin Campbell de regisseur wordt van Bond-film nummer 21; Casino Royale! Campbell blies nieuwe leven in de franchise met Goldeneye
waarin Pierce Brosnan zijn debuut maakte als de nieuwe James Bond.
"We are thrilled that Martin has accepted our offer to direct CASINO ROYALE," vertelden de producers, "He is an extremely talented director and we believe he will help take our films in a new and exciting direction. He is currently finishing filming 'Legend Of Zorro', the sequel to 'The Mask Of Zorro', and will be joining EON Productions shortly to work on the development of the script with our writers, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade."
Wie Pierce Brosnan in Casino Royale gaat vervangen is nog niet bekend.

Sam Raimi talks Evil Dead again!:
Verschillende movie sites hebben de mogelijkheid gekregen om met Sam Raimi te praten over de remake van Evil Dead!
Ik heb het belangrijkste nieuws voor jullie op een rijtje gezet! Raimi vertelde het volgende over het vinden
van een geschikte regisseur voor de Evil Dead remake, dat overigens een combinatie zal zijn van Evil Dead I en II;
"We want to find a director who will make the film his or her own, with a fresh take on the material. I will be as involved as the new director wants me to be, but I don't want be looking over anyone's shoulder. I want the director of the remake to have the same freedom I had when I was shooting the original.
Well, I respect the fans and their wishes, and more than anything, Rob (producer) and I want to please the fans of the films. But I've never thought that making a film ever takes away from an existing film. No matter what you do, they're just two separate realities. Evil Dead was made by Rob Tapert, Bruce Campbell and myself, in 1979 we were shooting it. It bridged over into 1980. It was a 16mm film and although we think it was effective in a lot of ways, we actually think that it's not like it couldn't be improved in so many ways, from characterizations - there's like no real characterizations - the dialogue is not very good, the photography is like I mentioned 16mm, we had a small lighting kit. I think Tom Sullivan did a great job with the makeup but if he was given a little more time and a little better budget, I think he could have even gone further. And I love Bruce Campbell, so I don't think you ever replace Bruce but I just think there's a lot that a new director could bring to it that I didn't. I'm kind of excited to see it be born again in a strange way. I think it could be a lot of fun for the fans of the first one, and I think there are so many people that have never seen the thing that it's exciting to realize that gee, that horror story we told could be retold to a much larger audience, and maybe if it was told in a finer quality, maybe they would like it."
Mooi, dat maakt veel duidelijk, maar wacht, ik heb meer nieuws! Sam Raimi gaat ook Evil Dead IV schrijven, produceren EN regisseren!!!:
"I'd like to make a part four. There's this very small audience for Evil Dead IV, and if we ever make a movie called Evil Dead IV, which I'd like to make with Rob at some point and starring Bruce Campbell, I'm not saying there's a million people, but there's 100,000 people that will know exactly what it is and that's about as big as the crowd is, honestly. It's not a giant crowd. They're a great crowd."

De eerste foto's van het vervolg op Underworld zijn online verschenen! Kate Beckinsale en Scott Speedman zijn weer
terug om de strijd op te pakken in de oorlog tussen de Vampires and Werewolves. Hier is een officieel bericht:
