Newsflash:
Hi guys, twee interessante headlines voor de newsflash van vandaag, volgende update vindt weer in het weekend plaats!:
 Stellan Skarsgård (Ronin) speelt tegenover Johnny Depp, Chow Yun-Fat, Orlando Bloom in de Pirates of the Caribbean Sequels. Skarsgård zal de vader spelen van Orlando Blooms karakter.

77th Academy Awards Nominees:
De nominaties van de 77th Annual Academy Awards werden gisteren bekend gemaakt. Martin Scorsese's The Aviator maakt met 11 nominaties de meeste kans op het
gouden beeldje. De film kreeg de volgende nominaties; Leonardo DiCaprio voor leading role, Alan Alda voor supporting role, Cate Blanchett voor supporting role, Art Direction, Cinematography, Costume design, Sound mixing, Original screenplay, Martin Scorsese voor regie, Thelma Schoonmaker voor Editing en ook Best Motion Picture!
Ik ga de film deze middag kijken dus verwacht binnenkort mijn recensie van The Aviator.
Verder hebben Finding Neverland en Million Dollar Baby 7 nominaties gekregen, Ray kreeg 6 en Sideways werd 5 maal genomineerd. De uitreiking vindt

Evil Dead Remake details!:
Producer Robert Tapert vertelde meer over de Evil Dead remake! Sam Raimi, regisseur van de originele versie, gaat
overigens wel de remake produceren. Het schijnt zelfs dat hij het hele project heeft doorgedrukt.
"It took a long time to get to the point where we wanted to remake it," vertelde Tapert, "The funny thing is, nothing is as you would expect. Our original investors and I think, original Evil Dead star, Bruce Campbell, and myself were more resistant to remaking the movie than Sam.
Sam, in his own special way, kind of led that charge. . I think Sam was really the one who said, 'Gee, I would love to give a new filmmaker an opportunity to use that title and use their skills to retell this in a new way for a new audience.'
As long as we stay true to what was the original model of the first Evil Dead, which was that we want to hurt and punish the audience, then those who love it will be satisfied. We mean to bring that out to a whole new generation in something that honors all of the people that loved it and yet gives them a new and thrilling ride that they weren't expecting. That's the challenge, and hopefully if we succeed that's kind of the glory."
Well, ik weet niet of ik heel erg blij moet zijn met een remake maar gelukkig is Sam Raimi wel betrokken bij het project.

Miles Millar talks Smallville and Superman:
Smallville producer Miles Millar sprak over de samenwerking tussen de TV serie en Bryan Singers bioscoopfilm, Superman Returns;
"Bryan Singer's a fan of the show, and we sat down and had dinner with him and the writers of the movie, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris, who we know as well. There's been much more of a dialogue than there was with the J.J. Abrams and McG movie. So it's been much better, and we really feel that we're attuned and aligned and know what each other is doing so we don't step on each other's toes. So we're really happy with how it's going."
That's great, hoop dat ze de serie en film goed op elkaar afstemmen.

Newsflash:
Franse actrice Audrey Tatou (Amélie) speelt naast Tom Hanks en Jean Reno in The Da Vinci Code. Ron Howard regisseert de film dat gebaseerd is op de bestseller van Dan Brown. Source: Variety
Mark Wahlberg speelt een cop in Martin Scorsese's The Departed. De film is een remake van de Hong Kong masterpiece Infernal Affairs. Leonardo DiCaprio en Matt Damon vertolken de hoofdrollen in Scorseses versie. Source: The Hollywood Reporter

De komedie Are We There Yet? met Ice Cube versloeg andere nieuwkomer Assault on Precinct 13! De nummer één van vorige week, Coach Carter,
staat nu op de tweede plaats. Meet the Fockers doet het nog steeds prima met een derde plaats en heeft inmiddels $247 miljoen opgebracht! Here's the rest of the Top Ten:

Newsflash:
Wes Bentley speelt de slechterik Blackheart in Ghost Rider. Nicolas Cage is gestrikt voor de hoofdrol en Mark Steven Johnson gaat de superheldenfilm regisseren. Source: Variety
James Wong (The One) gaat Final Destination 3-D regisseren. De eerste film opende met een plain crash, deel twee met een kettingbotsing en het derde deel zal openen met een rollercoaster ongeluk. Source: Production Weekly
Mooie teaser trailer van Tim Burton's Corpse Bride is nu online. De stop motion film is gemaakt door Henry Selick die ook verantwoordelijk was voor The Nightmare Before Christmas. De stemmen worden verzorgd door Johnny Depp, Emily Watson en Helena Bonham Carter.
Nieuwe special effects shots voor Spy Hunter zijn ook online. De rock speelt de hoofdrol in de film, gebaseerd op een videogame, John "The Killer" Woo regisseert! Klik op de pic voor meer!

Tommy Lee Jones in een meidenfilm? Oh yeah, check out de nieuwe poster van Man of the House. De cast bestaat uit Kelli Garner, Vanessa Ferlito, Monica Keena en Christina Milian.
Een nieuwe internationale poster voor Keanu Reeves' Constantine is ook online. Ik zag laatst de trailer in de bios en het ziet er fantastisch uit, ben zeer benieuwd naar deze film.
