16 Blocks poster:
The poster for 16 Blocks hit the web! The police flick is directed by Richard Donner and stars Bruce Willis, Mos Def and David Morse.
Willis plays detective Jack Mosley who must escort a criminal (Mos Def) from the precinct to the courthouse. The 16 block journey becomes a challenge when Jack's ex-partners are trying to stop them.
Click on the poster (which looks a bit dull to me) for a larger version.

Newsflash:
John Singleton (Four Brothers) will direct the Tom Clancy espionage thriller Without Remorse. Seems that the director is a big fan of the previous Clancy flicks, Clear and Present Danger and Patriot Games. Without Remorse centers on former Navy SEAL John Kelly, code-named Mr. Clark. Willem Dafoe played the character in Clear and Present Danger. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Virginia Madsen will replace Elisabeth Shue (who's pregnant) in Joel Schumacher's thriller The Number 23. The rest of the cast includes Jim Carrey, who will portray a man who finds a book that seems to be about his life but ends with a murder. Source: Variety
PTA a.k.a. Paul Thomas Anderson will direct There Will Be Blood. Nope, it's not a bloody revenge thriller but the story revolves around oil! Daniel Day-Lewis will play the lead in the 1927 period drama. PTA previously brought us the masterpieces Boogie Nights, Magnolia and Punch-Drunk Love. Source: Variety

Bryce Dallas Howard talks Lady in the Water:
The Village star Bryce Dallas Howard reteams with M. Night Shyamalan to play the leading role in his latest film Lady in the Water. She will play a character called a "narf"... don't worry, here's her explanation:
"It's about a superintendent at an apartment complex, played by Paul Giamatti, who discovers a narf, which is a made-up name for the creature. But she's basically a water nymph. He discovers her in his swimming pool, and then she's in great danger, you discover, and he has to join together with all of the tenants of the building to bring her back to her world. Where they had before all been strangers, they now come together in order to do this thing of great importance.
While I was making The Village he (the director) was two things for me, he was this angel that, in a way, descended from the heavens and discovered me, and he was also this brilliant director. Near the end of the movie we started realizing we could be friends, that we had a lot in common. Then, after the film, we stayed in great communication. By the time Lady in the Water started, we were very close, and he simultaneously, just as an artist, knew what my limitations were, knew where he could push me further and knew what my bag of tricks was and so what to not call upon. So working on Lady in the Water was a great experience, because I felt very safe, because I was with my friend and also very challenged because I was with someone who knew my instrument well."
Yep, he knew her instrument well... but I'm looking forward to see this flick!
