Movie: Star Wars - Revenge of the Sith
Director: George Lucas
Actors: Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Ian McDiarmid, Samuel L. Jackson, Jimmy Smits, Frank Oz, Christopher Lee

Revenge of the Sith is the third episode of the Star Wars Prequels and it's also the last Star Wars film ever, the saga is now complete. The Phantom Menace introduced young Anakin Skywalker, the boy who's the chosen one according to the Jedi prophecy. Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn trained the boy the way of the Jedi. Attack of the Clones developed Anakin's vengeful dark side when he saw his mother being slaughtered by the sand people; the Tustken Raiders. And in the third part, Revenge of the Sith, it all becomes clear why Anakin feels attracted to The Dark Side of The Force. Chancellor Palpatine, in secret a Sith Lord, plans to bring down the Jedi Court in order to rule over the Republic. Anakin seems the perfect candidate to help him. Palpatine orders Anakin to act as spy and reveal the plans of the Jedi. The Jedi, on the other hand, wants Anakin to spy on Palpatine. Anakin also suffers from terrible nightmares about his pregnant wife Padmé.
Anakin has to make some tough choices. The Jedi knights are in danger because of the growing power of the Sith. They also have a loose cannon onboard, a Jedi who can't be trusted. A face-off between Kenobi and Skywalker, the master and the apprentice, seems to be inevitable.

To keep a long story short, Revenge of the Sith is the best film of the prequels. George Lucas did his best to make the last episode perfect. The film works well in every way, the story is fast-paced and in balance, the dialogs are far better than the previous films, the chemistry between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin finally works, as does Anakin's relation with Padmé. R2-D2 offers some pretty funny moments, Yoda again kicks ass… big time, and last but not least, Revenge of the Sith is one giant special effects extravaganza.
The film opens with a huge space battle, which slaps the Star Wars fan right in the face, to wake him up. And the result, the Utimate Star Wars feeling; exploding spaceships, thousands of laser beams, R2's repairing the damaged spacecrafts during the high speed flight, the wonderful recognizable sound effects created by Ben Burtt and of course the overwhelming score by John Williams.
And in the midst of this all, two quarreling Jedi Knights, Anakin and Kenobi, just like Han Solo used to pick on Chewie and Luke. Ewan McGregor transforms nicely into Alec Guinness' version of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Hayden Christensen is convincing as the young Vader compared to his previous performance. Ian McDiarmid is fantastic as the evil Palpatine and Sith Lord. Smaller parts are for Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu, Jimmy Smits as Senator Bail Organa and of course Natalie Portman as the mother of Luke and Leia.

George Lucas delivers a surprising, dark and gritty Revenge of the Sith, the best of the prequels and also an episode that matches the original trilogy perfectly. The film is an honorable end to his legendary sci-fi epic.
Revenge of the Sith rocks 140 minutes long and ends with a gigantic climax that eventually ties together all the knots. The saga is complete… Star Wars is over… sigh…
