Movie: Into the Blue

Tanned skins, muscular bodies, hot chicks in tight bikinis and a beautiful blue ocean! Nope, this is not the long-awaited Baywatch film but an exiting thriller called Into the Blue.
The story in a nutshell:
A group of divers finds a crashed plane at the bottom of the ocean loaded with drugs. What to do? Warn the authorities or get the illegal cargo and sell it to the local druglord. Jared (Paul Walker) and girlfriend Sam (Jessica Alba) think it's too dangerous to greenlight the sell but their friends Bryce (Scott Caan) and Amanda (Ashley Scott) draw their own conclusions.
Young attractive cast and recognizable story, something I've seen before, right? But Into the Blue managed to surprise me. The story makes a few nice unexpected twists so it doesn't take the predictable route to the movie's finale. Unfortunately, the film's pacing is a bit bumpy and it sometimes is unclear what's happening.
Overall, Into the Blue offers plenty of eye-candy, partly thanks to the gorgeous Jessica Alba of course, but also because of the beautiful underwater cinematography by Shane Hurlbut and Peter Zuccarini. Watching this baby on the big screen is really amazing.
Director John Stockwell who previously directed the surf flick Blue Crush seems to feel at ease with the ocean. He once again delivers an okay but a bit messy thriller filmed on breathtaking locations.
