Temperature is rising and the ice is melting. The animals are enjoying the swimming pools. But the fun is over when Sid, Manny and Diego discover that the dam is about to collapse. They need to find a save place before giant floods will kill them all. During the rough journey, Manny discovers that he isn't the last one of his species and Sid helps Diego overcome is greatest fear... water.
Of course, the beloved Scrat is also back! The prehistoric squirrel is getting a really hard time in the sequel.
Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Dennis Leary once again voice the three heroes. New cast members include Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Will Arnett, Jay Leno and Manny's love interest Ellie is played by Queen Latifah.
Carlos Saldanha, co-director of the first film, had to do it all by himself but that doesn't make the sequel worse. To be honest, I don't have much to say about the sequel, just that the animation is stunning, the story is more hilarious, even has more drama, more action and more Scrat! So in this case, 'more' is good! Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is an excellent sequel, just go see it!
