Movie: Chicken Little
Director: Mark Dindal
Actors: Zach Braff, Joan Cusack, Garry Marshall, Steve Zahn

Chicken Little is Disney's first computer animated film. The studio earned a lot of bucks thanks to the Pixar flicks but they're no longer part of Disney. So, send the traditional animators to a how-to-draw-with-a-computer-bootcamp, et voila, their first CGI feature.
The story revolves around the young Chicken Little who finds himself in a tough position when the whole town turns against him. Chicken Little caused panic and chaos when he warned that the sky was falling down. Nobody believes him… until it happens again. Seems that heaven isn't falling but giant Alien ships are out there to kill and destroy. Chicken Little gets a second chance to proof himself and save his family and friends.

Disney's first attempt to create a solid CGI flick is a so-so success. The voices are great, Zach Braff (Scrubs), Joan Cusack, Garry Marshall, Steve Zahn and Patrick Stewart did a nice job. The animation is simply wonderful. I love the character design and the overall look of the film. The major problem is the script. Pixar is the best in combining breathtaking animation with a well-written original story. Disney, on the other hand, once again falls back on its traditional way of storytelling. Chicken Little offers a typical, predictable story with just a tiny amount of okay-laughs. It also looks like Disney's target audience is getting younger. The little kids will have a blast watching the funny looking figures but the older ones will have to wait for a new Pixar film.
