Christopher Nolan talks Inception!:
Hi guys, hier is weer de laatste update van de week, I'll be back with more news this weekend! The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan sprak over zijn nieuwe film, Inception. Het verhaal is top secret maar Nolan onthulde wel dat de film, waarin Leonardo DiCaprio de hoofdrol speelt, een enorme productie is. Check this out;
"We're trying to tell a story on a massive scale, a true blockbuster scale - the biggest I've ever been involved with. We tried to make a very large-scale film with 'The Dark Knight' and with this one we wanted to push that even further.
I grew up watching James Bond films and loving those and watching spy movies with their globetrotting sensibility.... We get to do that here, not just geographically but also in time and dimensions of reality as well. We get to make a movie that's expansive, I suppose you'd say, in four dimensions."

Ivan Reitman is back for Ghostbusters 3!:
Ivan Reitman bevestigt dat hij Ghostbusters 3 gaat regisseren! De regisseur was ook verantwoordelijk voor de vorige twee films. Screenwriters Lee Eisenberg en Gene Stupnitsky hebben een eerste versie ingeleverd en werken nu aan een tweede draft.

Spider-Man reboot?!:
New and shocking developments on the Spider-Man 4 project, Sam Raimi heeft het project verlaten en de studio maakt nu plannen om Spider-Man een reboot te geven! Here's a clip from the press release;
"Peter Parker is going back to high school when the next Spider-Man hits theaters in the summer of 2012.
Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios announced today they are moving forward with a film based on a script by James Vanderbilt that focuses on a teenager grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises.
The new chapter in the Spider-Man franchise produced by Columbia, Marvel Studios and Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin, will have a new cast and filmmaking team. Spider-Man 4 was to have been released in 2011, but had not yet gone into production."
Parker gaat weer terug naar school?! You gotta be kidding me! Waarschijnlijk wil de studio een jonger publiek aantrekken.

Robert Zemeckis directs Yellow Submarine:
Robert Zemeckis' volgende film wordt de remake van Yellow Submarine, dat weer een 3D performance capture film gaat worden. Cary Elwes, Dean Lennox Kelly, Peter Serafinowicz en Adam Campbell zijn benaderd om The Beatles te spelen. Kelly is John Lennon, Serafinowicz is Paul McCartney, Elwes is George Harrison en Campbell is Ringo Starr.

Tobey Maguire talks Spider-Man 4!:
Tobey Maguire sprak over Spider-Man 4, en maakt zich geen zorgen om de vertraagde productie;
"Like anything, it's a process. We're just in the midst of the process. We have a lot of great stuff in terms of story and script. We're just trying to dial it in and get it ready as quickly as possible. Of course, these movies are a very big undertaking and take a lot more time than a drama or something more straightforward.
Not only do I have specific ideas, but the ideas are evolving on the page. It's all happening right now. It's all sort of coming together. It's very exciting to me. I think the evolution of the character is really exciting, to be rooted in the history of what we've done already and to have a continuity, yet have a progression or evolution."
