 Anthony Hopkins is de Noorse god Odin in Kenneth Branagh's Thor!!! Chris Hemsworth vertolkt de rol van Thor, Tom Hiddleston is Loki en Natalie Portman is Jane Foster, who's got the hots for Thor's mighty hammer. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder) is benaderd om het script te schrijven voor Men in Black 3. Er zijn verder geen details bekend of director Barry Sonnenfeld en Will Smith en Tommy Lee Jones terugkeren voor dit vervolg. Source: The Hollywood Reporter
It's official, volgens de trades, Tom Hardy en Charlize Theron zijn aan het onderhandelen voor Mad Max: Fury Road! George Miller is terug om de regie te verzorgen, het verhaal vindt vlak na Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome plaats. Ik denk dat de kans groot is dat Mel Gibson wordt vervangen door Tom Hardy.
En de nieuwe trailer van James Cameron's sci-fi epic Avatar is nu online!!! De cast bestaat uit Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez en Giovanni Ribisi. Klik op de pic voor de trailer!

Trailers:
Een lading interessante trailers zijn op het web verschenen, hier is een overzicht;
First up, Matt Damon en regisseur Paul Greengrass zijn weer samen (na The Bourne Supremacy en The Bourne Ultimatum) voor de action thriller Green Zone. Check out explosions, gunfire and quick editing right here.
De eerste beelden, helaas in crappy format, van Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is ook online. De cast bestaat uit Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Crispin Glover, Alan Rickman, Michael Sheen en Christopher Lee. Klik hier voor de trailer.
De direct-to-dvd sequel Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball is veelbelovend, Joe Carnahan is deze keer alleen de executive producer, P.J. Pesce verzorgt nu de regie. Check out Tom Berenger, Ernie Hudson, Michael Parks, Autumn Reeser en Vinnie Jones in action right here.

A day with Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Willis:
Een bijzonder moment in the history of movie making, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger en Bruce Willis hebben samen een scène opgenomen in de actie flick The Expendables! Stallone's publicist schreef het volgende op haar blog!;
"After Arnold, Bruce and Sly went through the scene a couple of times they all 3 headed off to wardrobe and make-up. at 8:10am with three cameras rolling the biggest action icons of our time went to work. I thought it was electric in Brazil when all of The Expendables stepped on set - but today was atomic!!!! the whole crew was mesmerized as we watched the three of them play off of each other in a pivotal scene that sets up the whole movie. And while I can't/don't want to give too much away I can tell you that Arnold's character is Trench and Bruce is Church, the scene was shot in an empty church without extras and minimal set dec and it has tension and humor - what more can a girl ask for! Sly was in top form as a director today and was in total command. Bruce and Arnold were consummate professionals at all times - we got through the scene quickly without compromise."
Fan-freakin'-tastic!!! Ik kan niet wachten om het op het grote doek te zien! The Expendables is geschreven en geregisseerd door Stallone, andere rollen worden vertolkt door Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Charisma Carpenter, Giselle Itie, Brittany Murphy, David Zayas en Amin Joseph. Fury Road update!!!:
It's official, the new Mad Max flick, Fury Road, is really happening! Ze zijn inmiddels begonnen met de pre-production en de casting. De grote vraag, zien we Mel Gibson terug in de hoofdrol? "It could be Mel, it could be anyone," vertelde regisseur George Miller, "In fact, I'm looking around at these faces to see if anyone's quite interesting here."

De eerste official pic van The A-Team is op het web verschenen! Check out Liam Neeson als Hannibal, Sharlto Copley (District 9) als Murdock, Bradley Cooper als Face en Quinton "Rampage" Jackson als B.A. Baracus. Liam ziet er fantastisch uit, maar ik heb mijn twijfels over Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.

Ghost in the Shell live-action flick:
Naast Akira, is Ghost in the Shell een van de beste anime flicks ooit, en DreamWorks Pictures maakt nu plannen voor een live-action flick. Laeta Kalogridis (Pathfinder, Shutter Island) schrijft het script, Avi Arad, Ari Arad en Steven Paul worden de producers.
